Pros

The ease of receiving a daily report from the daycare on how my child does plus what he eats, activities, and diaper changes.

Cons

It doesn’t update as they enter information, all the info is given at the end of the day.

I love this app to keep me informed with their schedule. It lets me know if they’re starting late or closing due to weather. It keeps me informed on the days they are open or closed. It tells me what the schedule of the day or month is. My child is not a regular attendees so it’s nice to keep updated by just clicking a button. It also gives me a weekly balance of my invoices. I really have no complaints.

Pros

It keeps me informed at my fingertips. It sends information and updates through my email. Whenever I need to check my balance or the schedule all I have to do is go to my app.

Cons

No complaints as of now. I really don’t have anything to complain about.

I am able to focus on my job and take my son’s care anywhere with me thanks to the HiMama application. I often use it to show friends and family updates when they ask where my son is during the daycare hours.

Pros

I love the fact that the daycare can share pictures, updates, request supplies, and basically communicate with parents at any time as needed. It eases my mind to see pictures throughout the day of my son enjoying daycare, even when he had a rough morning at drop off.

Cons

Some of the navigation is unfamiliar to me. There seem to be a lot of functions to the application that I do not use as a parent.

HiMama is a great way to get updates on your child through the day. I would like to see more updates but I think that would be more of a function of the facility than the application although it could have to do with usability. The IOS app should be optimized for switching between functions, going to view an update and switching back. Adding comments is tricky and doesn't work all the time. WHen you see a post with a pic, to see the whole pic you have to click twice (using an iPhone 5 with ios 10), once to get into the post and then again to view the picture. You should be able to view the picture right from the main page or have it full size when you go into the post. The ability to swipe between posts would be good rather than having to go back from a post to the main screen and then scroll to the next one. Scrolling on the main page and then clicking on an image sometimes causes the app to shudder and then navigate you to the first post entry.

I couldn't get my test families to view the reports, which is an indication of how most families will behave. I ended up spending most of my evenings catching up on the addition of meals, bathroom habits, and so on. If I didn't, the one set of parents that did actually use the application couldn't see the report. I shouldn't have to spend additional time. I thought this would streamline things for me. If there was something that could take verbal commands so I could say something like, "diaper change for bobby" and it would record that automatically, that would help. In the meantime, I feel I need to cancel.

Pros

Checking in children, adding restroom habits

Cons

Challenging to keep up when there is only one person in my program. I can't add things on the fly as I thought I could. Very time consuming. I can't add a meal for 4 children, I have to add a meal per each child even though they have the same meal. I can't add in lesson planning or daily activities per child's age group/developmental level. I have to choose only one, but the activities don't apply the same way.

Through HiMama app I am able to view my child's routine or set activity for the day. I can also view daily reports and milestones. Moreover, I can see messages and updates from the teacher and other crew thru this app. Furthermore, there are so many educational videos I found in the app, one of which was the breaking bad habits that is very helpful in dealing with such habits and keeping a therapeutic relationship with my son.

Pros

I like viewing my son's daily report and milestones the most.

Cons

Although I like the messages button and sees update from teachers and other crew but I find it least to check since they email most updates to my personal email.

As a new mom, I was skeptical to send my 11 month old to be cared for by a stranger, but with the accessibility of the app and the ongoing communication throughout the day. I could see my baby was being taken care of, which brought me some peace of mind.

Pros

The amount of information the provider could share through the app. From photos, to nap times, even a breakdown of the type of development occurring with each activity. It also has invoices and tax returns available.

Cons

There is no “home” option that allows you to avoid having to select the return arrow. With each new page I open, I am required to select back.

Pros

I really like all the features HiMama has. We are not using it for that long and it is already of great help. Imagine when we master the use of HiMama! But, what I like the most is the reaction of the parents when they receive something generated by HiMama software. That gives our center a sense of "high class" institution.

Cons

To me it's a little pricey. I think $10 to $15 less on the monthly fee would be fair, or they could allow to create more than one classroom for the price.

Reason for choosing Lillio

Because HiMama use the Ontario Framework for Early Learning.
