Pros Qualio provides a seamless transition from the first inquiry to the product handover. Qualio is easy to use and implement which was the most important thing when selecting a system to use at my company. I needed to ensure that employees are comfortable using a system and focusing on creating documentation and other items and not worrying about how to use the software. Cons As with any system there are always features that you wish existed. However, Qualio does a great job at accepting ideas and implementing them over time. Reason for choosing Qualio Ease of use, affordable, and the system includes all of the functions that I need. Qualio does not overcomplicate pricing and offer module add-ons which quickly add up. Qualio has been super responsive to all questions and issues. They recognize where problems exist and where improvements can be made. They pay attention to the customer's requirements (needs and wants) and they implement them to improve the functionality and performance of the eQMS' features. Qualio is always working on new things to help facility the end user's IeQMS and remain compliant within the industry. Pros The ability to have all documents maintained electronically in one system. I managed a manual QMS for 13+ years...it was manageable, but Qualio made it so much easier! The change control element and the Training module was a huge bonus - especially when this was originally done manually all those years. Cons The cumbersome document editor seemed old and outdated and was not easy to use. However, Qualio has made many improvements to the document editor making it much easier to create and edit documents. February 1, 2022 4.0 Qualio serves as my document repository, my "source of truth" for all required records within our 13485/MDSAP compliant QMS. Recertification was completed in 2021 and the auditor noted the speed with which all document records were presented, without a backroom runner! Pros Software is easy to use and navigate, and to train others to use at different levels. Record and report output is quick and organized. Cons Software has presented with many fix opportunities. That said the Qualio team is quick to remediate bugs and provide module upgrades that address new user needs! Reason for choosing Qualio The selection of Qualio was made by my predecessor most likely based on value for the price. Since we have Qualio we never had an issue finding the information in our Quality System. Pros Easy to follow the directions, and create new procedures, forms, and events. Easy to find any information, approve, and review the documents. Qualio is constantly making improvements to the system making it more efficient. They are super responsive when it comes to new inquiries for product enhancements or general support questions. Cons At the moment we have not experienced any major issues with Qualio. It facilitates good review process Cons Qualio does not keep resolved comments. When someone completes review and click ‘Mark as reviewed’ in Qualio, no email notification is received. For an existing table, adding multiple rows at a time is not possible. Only one row can be added. Unable to copy the contents across multiple rows. There is no functionality to replace one character string with another. Doesn’t notify if a particular reviewer completed review. Doesn’t allow comments by a particular reviewer if that reviewer completed review. Not possible to filter for comments from a particular reviewer. Can not add multiple rows in table. All documents in all states should be visible to all users. Can not delete comments. If a new document type is needed, it's literally just a few clicks away. I like the intuitive navigation and the ease of adoption by the end users. Cons At this time, the only place I can fault Qualio is in the data reporting capabilities. Running basics like how many open/closed NCRs or how many SOPs approved is fine, but without more capability built out, or an external API (like a BI report or crystal intelligence tool), I can't get to more data within records. I do know they are working on this however, and generally at the start up level, you're not yet in need of super detailed reporting within your QMS yet anyway. The basics they provide will more than get you off the ground! The dash board is comprehensive and is critical is assessing status of activities. Cons The inability for a manger (such as myself) to have visibility to my direct reports training status as well as the status of other assigned activities for items that I have to manage. Our Quality group has full access but there is no intermediate option to control access to certain areas while allowing operational managers to be able to manage applicable information. So I have to resort to asking QA "where is this SOP in the approval process" , "who's training is outstanding", or " who started the draft version for a SOP?" etc. Since we are so restricted, it hurts work flow. Another layer, just below full access, to allow us to manage our over arching responsibilities, would be helpful. One thing forgotten or not done on time can lead to critical or major reviews. We want to avoid that and also ensure the QA managers are using their time effectively and not chasing paper. We are still Completing implementation and will be able to measure the efficiency, time saved and capacity developed by end of the year! Pros I think the ease of implementation and support. Ease of use… “does what it says”. We still need more time with it but my employees seem excited about it! Cons I am not sure at the moment. There were some Minor hitches with implementation . But no feedback on this yet! Reason for choosing Qualio Ampleloguc was a bit convulated. More of a tracker than a true work on line software. We would not have been 100% paperfree! I don't believe Qualio provided me with a good understanding of the capabilities of the system and how best to set it up. Pros I do like the Document Lifecycle management and the control of documents. Need the ability to have separate libraries, (i.e for Technical Documents) and not by tag! Cons Cost....Not much of a value when compared to manual systems Most everything in Qualio requires the same effort as a manual system (document control/life cycle is the exception, although some software offers version control!) I also resent the price increase applied this past year and the inability of Qualio to negotiate or justify the increase. We are actively evaluating other suppliers. Review Source SM Stephanie M. Qualio has been great for maintaining the quality system from Complaints, NCR's, CAPA's etc. Pros Templates are helpful in guiding content creation across the organization. Events are great for managing approvals and maintaining evidence. Cons Training module doesn't provide a matrix type status, i.e. Documents versus all used and training requirements/status. Their platform is updated from time to time which improves the experience (for example, document editing and reviewing has been improved over the past couple years). Cons Perhaps out of scope, but Qualio would be great if it could be linked to some form of inventory management system. For example, in quality events sometimes specific materials need to be identified and currently there is a lot of double-entry in our system (Qualio, then in another spreadsheet or software). Also, there are some minor inconveniences that continue to exist, such as links that go to a superceded document. Perhaps there could be a feature which allows for smart linking to a specific version vs. most current version. Review Source JR Judson R. We love the system. Pros We easily pass cGMP complaince audits utilizing all features of Qualio. The ease of use and being able to quickly pull up any documents requested has impressed many auditors. Cons Initially the search feature was a bit clunky, but there has been improvements. No issues now. Reason for choosing Qualio Ease of use and an all in one system to handle all of Quality. Cons Small cosmetic and quality of life improvements are needed in specific areas, yet they are the exception to the rule in most cases and do not seriously impact the system's value.
