### "EHR 24/7, Office ally's EHR solution"

April 26, 2022

5.0

Office Ally's EHR 24/7 is great. Anything we have an issue with the customer service is happy to teach us, and if its complicated or necessary we can schedule training for employees and staff on different aspects of the service.

Pros

It works hand and hand with Practice Mate, so that your entire practice can be integrated through one electronic system. Patient scheduling, medical records, prescriptions, patient charts, billing, claims, payments, invoices, all in one.

Cons

There really are not many drawbacks to Office Ally's Practice Mate and EHR 24/7, I highly recommend them for any practice looking for a comprehensive software solution for their business.

### "Office Ally is great"

September 12, 2023

5.0

Overall EHR 24/7 is great. I have used 5 different EHRs over the years and EHR 24/7 has always been the most reliable and easiest to use. My employees all prefer it over any other system as well.

Pros

Price and ease of use and customization. You can add links into templates and either click them to insert into the chart or use them as reminders.

Cons

Current medication list features need to be fixed. It duplicated the medications in the patient's medication list every time you write a prescription so you have to constantly manage the current medication list to reconcile it (which is something you are supposed to do anyway honestly.)

Reason for choosing EHR 24/7

Practice Fusion's billing side is worthless.

### "Poor quality and incompetent support help"

February 14, 2018

1.0

I have been, sadly, an Office Ally client for about the past six years. The only reason I'm still with them is because they make it too difficult to leave: they'll pack your client demographic information not the progress notes should you wish to migrate to another EHR/PM service. Customer Service / Tech Support is a joke; they're mostly just gatekeepers who will do everything they can to convince you that a technical issue is something on your end and not theirs. Here are some examples of what I;'m talking about.... 1. Patient Ally, their feature that allegedly allows clients and their patients to swap documents in a HIPAA-secured environment, more often than not fails to properly function. I've tried to send documents to my clients, and vice-versa, and they cannot be retrieved. When I complained about this, the "tech support" person tried to slough it off as a problem with either my computer or my client's His argument was that "if large numbers of our customers aren't complaining about this, then it's not a problem." I now use Adobe Cloud instead. 2. When using the accounting and claims management features in their practice management platform, Practice Mate, in order to post payments to a deactivated client account, I have to re-activate it, post the payments, then de-activate it again, which is a time-waster and unnecessary. When I addressed this with tech support, his unbelievable answer was: "Well the LOGIC is that if you're no longer seeing a client, then you won't be taking any more payments on their account." I had to explain to him that managed care can take weeks or months to pay claims, and also that some discharged clients owe past-due balances. His response was dead air. 3. The EHR platform has a penchant for bumping you off AS YOU'RE WORKING IN A CHART, which means you lose all the data and have to log back in and recreate it. This usually happens between 5-7 pm EST. The two times I reported this to "tech support," they told me it was probably my computer or my ISP and it wasn't their problem, again, because tens of thousands of other Office Ally users hadn't complained about it. Yeah, the cost is low, but if you're a sole practitioner like me, without so much as a receptionist, these inefficiencies can cost you in time and money.

Pros

Relatively easy to use.Fairly good integration between EHR and Practice Mate.

Cons

1\. Many of the features don't work properly. 2. Some functions are not the most efficient and actually waste end users' time. 3. "Tech Support are mostly gatekeepers. When you call to report a problem, their typical response is that if thousands of other users haven't already called to report the same issue, then it must be your fault and not theirs. They also refuse to let you speak to a supervisor or manager, their typical excuse being "They're all in a meeting." They claim to write "job tickets" and promise a callback, but of course they never call back and the issue is rarely resolved.

### "Great slim and affordable EHR for small practices"

September 6, 2023

4.0

This meets our major requirements affordably. Patients are able to communicate with me via the portal, schedule appointments and pay bills. We cycled through several EHRs for small practices and my staff and I agree this one has been the best in terms of ease of use, responsiveness of support staff, integration with practice management, and simplicity of interface.

Pros

It's easy to use and customize for my small practice without having to navigate enterprise-level features that we don't need. Training is simple so onboarding new staff members is quick. Key integrations with eRx, labs and practice management have been seamless, and the pricepoint is an order (or two) of magnitude lower than large scale options such as Athena or Epic. I like the ability to easily free text without opening and closing multiple windows.

Cons

Patient portal still needs work to improve integration and features. Patient access to chart is limited and requires active monitoring (e.g. routing reports to the portal). I don't report statistics for Medicare so can't comment about utility for that. Chart management features such as searching for specific diagnoses or medications is clunky -- can't use \* to fold multiple related diagnoses into the same search.

Alternatives considered

[Epic](https://www.capterra.com/p/122278/EpicCare-EMR/)[athenaOne](https://www.capterra.com/p/98735/athenaOne/)[Amazing Charts](https://www.capterra.com/p/80992/Amazing-Charts/)

Reason for choosing EHR 24/7

1) ease of charting -- fewer dropdowns and opening separate windows for documentation; 2) streamlined for small practice so I'm not bogged down in features designed for large enterprises and big multispecialty groups; 3) cost -- 10-100x less than most alternatives.

### "Chiropractors view on EHR 24/7"

December 11, 2023

4.0

Overall the system is a cost effective EHR and can be made to work in a chiropractic setting, but it does feel like work arounds are needed. It is not flashy, but it gets the job done. Some upgrades are overdue both visually and functionally.

Pros

SOAP notes are generally straight forward, creating follow up visits with information from previous visits is fairly quick. Reviewing notes is easily managed with the overview.

Cons

Interface is a bit dated. While there is an option to create custom forms, its not very intuitive and was not very appealing for daily use. Would like to see more chiropractic specific features (system clearly targeting medical), treatment plan tracking, etc. The ability to create an intuitive form that ported the information to the SOAP layout would be great. In house payment processing is a must.

### "Great system with some drawbacks"

November 11, 2020

4.0

This is a great system if you don't need advanced notifications of appointments, or want outside vendors to interact with the system for reviews. And, if your clinic doesn't care that the clinician can't look at the financials or schedule, it works well. To us, this was a huge drawback. But, we loved the ease of use for the actual charting.

Pros

Charting is quick as long as you use Text Blaze Snippets on chrome with it. Otherwise, it can be long. It is customizable by the provider and for specialties which is nice. Each specialty can have their own template. Adding patients is easy. Re-prescribing doesn't require an actual note, so the MA's or RN's can do this and send to provider for authorization. Uses "superbills" for charting, meaning you can bundle specific CPT codes with allowed ICD10's. Interacts with their billing clearinghouse for rapid notification of coverage.

Cons

It is segmented. You can't look at the patient financial's without going into a completely different system (the practice manager). Same goes for scheduling. In other words, if you want to schedule, you have to be logged into 2 systems they have that communicate. But, requiring you to have multiple types of browsers (not just tabs) up and running. The system only allows notifications of appointments outside of a 24 hour period, such that if you wanted to setup notification of appointment on the same day, ie. 3 hours before appointment, it doesn't let you. And, there is no system outside that interacts with officeally. So, if you want to do patient reviews, emails, etc., you have to manually upload your file to the outside vendor.

Reason for choosing EHR 24/7

Cost for Advanced EHR and the ease of charting. For us, quick charting is the best. AdvancedEHR was expensive and took too long to chart. We switched to WRS health after a year with officeally. Clinicians didn't like the switch as OA is easy for charting, but the staff likes WRS for the front-desk. In the end, we are still looking for a viable option.

Switched from

[CharmHealth](https://www.capterra.com/p/120340/ChARM-EHR/)

We had used OfficeAlly's clearinghouse for years and were happy with them. And, Charm does not do billing well, plus the charting took too long.

### "Priced right, but takes some set up and getting used to."

December 12, 2023

3.0

I've been with this system for 8 years and haven't found a reason strong enough to get something different. I think that speaks a lot.

Pros

I like the price of this product, mostly because my whole clinic is run through this system. Notes, claims, payments and scheduling all can be done through this system. I also like that, once set up, is easy to train front office workers on it.

Cons

Set up took a long time. It's now very personalized but not exactly how I would want it, but good enough.

Reason for choosing EHR 24/7

Cost and that it had EHR, billing, and scheduling all in one for the low cost.

Switched from

### "Ease into EHR 24/7 intuitively"

December 30, 2025

5.0

It has been very manageable and the training videos and in-person sessions are all readily available. Any training can be scheduled at our convenience and without interruption to patient encounters.

Pros

a valuable feature is the quick flow from visit to claims. There is opportunity to see the patient, document and review before validating it all by signing off on it for proceeding to the billing management part of the process. It goes without a hitch of delay. It is intuitive and easy to learn. Implementation and ramp-up time is minimal.

Cons

It did take me a minute to understand the need to label documents clearly for their content. Without taking the time to develop a clear name for each type of document, it may delay being able to locate them later. Planning in document filing is key.

### "OA is affordable "

December 29, 2025

Overall it is a great buy for the money. Easy to use. I just wish we could use a tablet for the patient’s signature

Pros

What I like the most is that it is reasonably priced. Also that it is easy to learn. One can make templates.

Cons

You cannot use a tablet for patients to sign as proof they were seen at that visit also I don’t like that on weekends there’s updates so I can’t do my notes. It should be done around 2am central time so it wouldn’t interfere with someone who wants to work prior to that

### "EHR immunization registry"

June 15, 2024

4.0

Overall excellent customer service with tech support, but the folks that run the immunization registry are the least helpful. They do not reply to email or answer their calls. We are considering transitioning to another system with similar capacity but more responsive customer support.

Pros

Easy to navigate after you have manually created your set up

Cons

Able to integrate with state immunization registry data exchange. However,if you have 2 offices with parent-child status, you are not able to transmit data from the child office. I have provided all necessary information to the immunization registry department at office ally to transmit the correct data but they are yet to get to me after 4 month. I am almost losing my VFC status as a result of this.

### "My EHR Review Question and Answer"

September 11, 2023

5.0

I am resolving any question that a patient has by being able to read each note put into EHR for that patient. In order to let them know why they have not received there DME items yet. Or if they called because they want to make changes to there DME items I can read the EHR notes and let them know what the next step is.

Pros

I like that I am able to pull a patient that I am working on up and read my EHR notes and other people in my company's EHR notes which helps me to resolve any issues I am having with the patient's account by reading the other employees notes.

Cons

The least thing that I don't like about EHR is the part on the view EHR screen, when you have to save the note by1) from the progress note box you have to select edit which takes you to the edit note screen2) then you have to scroll down to nurses note (this encounter) to edit the note and make any changes or add to the note3) then in order to save the note you have to open up Nurse property (this encounter) and select print nurses note (to exist)Is there anyway that you can save, edit, and make any changes to a note from the View EHR screen?

### "I'm sticking with OA"

August 21, 2023

5.0

Lots of time/effort to set up. Once done, it has worked well. Occasional outages in the middle of work flow have been difficult. I don't feel like we are using it to the best of our capacity, meaning, there are things we have missed doing and sometimes I find out and go, "wow, that was not set up 5 years ago?? bummer."

Pros

Once you set it up, the EHR is easy to use, navigate, and gives a nice format that is easy to read. We love it.

Cons

I have sent in MULTIPLE requests for things that need to be added/implemented. They have never been done, no response, no follow up. We have used this for 5 years. Still nothing.

Reason for choosing EHR 24/7

Recommended by another practice. They since changed to another system, but I am glad I am using OA

Pros

### "A necessary monthly expenses"

September 12, 2023

5.0

Very good

Pros

I like the ability to generate and save treatment notes, most useful for storing all clinic documents electronically

Cons

I just don’t like having to pay monthly for the service, free would be better

Reason for choosing EHR 24/7

I chose EHR 24/7 because it was integrated with Office Ally

### "Great product!"

September 11, 2023

5.0

It's a really great product and I do love it!

Pros

It's easy and friendly to use and more convenient to integrate with PM.

Cons

If possible, I'd like "Appointments" could show more information about the patient, like Auth Number. Besides, there is one issue as follows: in Patients charts, when I hit "create PM visit", the patient authorization number is lost and I have to add it manually in the claim. I think it is a flaw and don't know why it happened!
