The program is straightforward and easy to use. After getting everything set up and spending some time becoming familiar with the system, it has become a seamless part of our operations. We have been using it for nearly a year now, and it has proven to be a reliable and user-friendly solution for managing our processes. Pros We are an educational manufacturer of rock, mineral, and fossil kits. We manage a large inventory, and MRPeasy has been a great tool for tracking inventory, generating purchase orders and invoices for both suppliers and customers, and managing the entire manufacturing process from raw materials to finished kits. We also use QuickBooks for our bookkeeping, and all invoice information transfers automatically from MRPeasy into QuickBooks. In addition, as we were setting up, customer support was readily available to answer questions. Cons For cons, this is less about MRPeasy and more about QuickBooks. When we receive payment and close out an invoice in MRPeasy, it automatically transfers to QuickBooks, which works well. However, if the payment is deposited in our bank first and we close out the invoice in MRPeasy a day later, QuickBooks has often already generated an invoice to match the deposit. This can result in duplicate invoices in QuickBooks and requires some cleanup. It is a bit frustrating, but to be clear, this is not an issue with MRPeasy. I have already recommended this to many small business. Great visibility to cost structure, efficiency in production. Nothing but good things. I have used SAP Business 1 Manufacturing module and Netsuite, I love MRPEasy way better. Cons Lack of controls, not a big issue for small business. Template design flexibility. Way better than spreadsheets and customer service is very responsive when you have issues. Pros Great value. Robust enough to work for most manufacturers. I'm even able to find in system work arounds for a few use cases that aren't planned for in the software. Cons No good way to back date entries. As a small business you don't always have time to record everything into the software. This effects summary reporting. If we ship out an order on the 29th, but it doesn't get record until the 2nd. You can't make it appear in certain reports for the correct month. Multiple steps to workflows can be cumbersome. The software seems designed for a team of people. A sales person putting in a SO, another putting in request for shipment and someone in the warehouse pulling and releasing the order. We are a smaller company that primarily uses MRPeasy for cost tracking across complex manufactured products. The multiple steps can feel cumbersome at times. You really can measure almost anything about your production processes and plan your manufacturing, purchasing and delivery for weeks and months in advance if required! Cons Due to the flexibility and potential for customisation, it can however sometimes be a little tricky to find the 'best' or most efficient way to reflect your manufacturing process in the system. Also sadly missing the features to create recurring Customer, Supplier and Manufacturing Orders, this would be a huge time-saving feature. However, it is possible to easily create a copy of the existing orders if the details are the same: Open the relevant order (CO, MO, or PO). Press the "Copy" button. It’s perfect for the "brains" of the operation (planning/stock), but it feels a bit clunky and expensive for the "hands" (the shop floor). If they improved the iPad interface and offered a "light" license for floor workers, it would be a 5-star product. Pros The core production planning and inventory logic are dependable. It does exactly what we need for managing manufacturing orders and tracking raw materials. For a small to mid-sized manufacturer, the underlying engine provides the necessary discipline without the overhead of a massive ERP system. Cons Pricing: While the admin cost is fair, paying $50+ USD per worker just to have them "punch in/out" on the floor feels steep, especially since we don't use 70% of the features (like CRM or POs). UI/UX: The interface is outdated. We use iPads on the factory floor, and the layout isn't touch-friendly—the "Stop" and "Go" buttons should be much larger. Regional Logic: As a Canadian company, we’d prefer CAD pricing. Additionally, we’d love a smoother "currency toggle" in the UI. We buy materials in USD but pay labor in CAD; managing this across the system could be more intuitive. As all of us knows, adopting to a new software takes time, they are not one size fits all since it's not custom made to our specific needs. However, MRPeasy comes close and does a very commendable job in making our company better in terms of inventory, production and so forth. The option to create and download db backups is also a welcome feature. Pros MRPEasy is straightforward to use. The help docs are great and available right where you need them. And the price is good - we moved from something that looked a little nicer, but essentially did the same thing. Happy customers. Cons It uses a system where, to access further parts of an order details - say adding a payment - you need to create an invoice. In doing so, the page refreshes and extra parts appear. This seems logical but modern gui's dont usually work this way. Once we understood that, it was plain sailing. We have found that it ticks all our boxes and is fabulous value for money. With only a few employees, we have to make sure that the inventory management systems we use can be implemented quickly and efficiently and MRPeasy ticks all those boxes. Cons We sub-contract our hot works to a third party who works within our building, and so trying to integrate this to the system is a little challenging at first, but we have found a work around. It appears that MRPeasy may not be fully optimized for your current workflow. In MRPeasy, parts are deducted from inventory when they are actually consumed by workshop workers. This can be done either per each part separately or all at once. When workers use the simplified Internet-kiosk interface, parts are automatically deducted after they complete the first manufacturing operation of a manufacturing order. If, for any reason, workers do not report their progress, you can use the 'Finish as planned' button. This will automatically consume all required parts. However, for the most accurate and detailed overview of production, we strongly recommend asking workers to report progress in real time. Would be better if made available in modules as many of the features are not applicable to our operation, e.g accounting. Pros The stock control system is efective and easy to use. Training manuals are excellent. Would be more useful if the BOM was not necessary as we add stock out as the build progresses. Cons A limited number of stock items in the basic version meaning we had to upgrade. Many of the features are not applicable to our operation but we find ways around that. As I say, MRPeasy has made it easy to track and managed all of my client Purchase orders, all of the stock that goes with that and allowed me to focus on what matters most to me in my business which is getting production out the door as quickly and accurately as possible. Pros MRPeasy gives you one central repository for all your order and manufacturing information with cross referencing available from almost every page. After two years of battling with spreadsheets that only I can understand, MRPeasy has simplified and streamlined my manufacturing-process paper trail and given me valuable reports for traceability. February 4, 2025 5.0 MRPeasy has allowed our specialty food manufacturing business to streamline. Because of the integrations we have been able to automate all orders from our various sales channels and keep ahead on what is needed to fulfill those orders. We have cut our office staff down from 2 full timers and 1 part timer to 1 part timer. We have also cut down our shipping person from 40 hours a week to 20 because we now have real time inventory and the shipping person doesn't have to plan and count everyday what can go out. Pros It is cost effective but still has tons of features. There were more expensive programs that didn't give me all the things I needed for the business. Cons It is not super user friendly. It takes sometime to learn all the ins and outs. The help and documentation are outstanding, and the support is quick and responsive. Cons The price. We are a very small company and would like to do many things professionally, even at a small scale. However, given our current revenue level, the pricing makes it difficult to justify the higher-tier plans, even though many of the features could be very useful already before scaling. As a start up, we do not need the complexity and cost of a large ERP system. Using MRPeasy with it's integrations to finance and CRM tools allows us a level of flexibility as we develop. The support is excellent. The online materials as an introduction and ongoing support are great, well written and easy to navigate. MrPeasy is a great addition too. Pros This is an intuitive system. It is straight forward and simple to understand. The interface is simple and all major functions are easily accessible. The support system is great, all tickets are responded to within 24hr and the majority of questions resolved in that period. Cons Serial Numbers not being able to be displayed on paperwork such as MO means we overwrite Lot Numbers. The definition of WIP is sometimes confusing. CEO Cosmetics Used the software for: 2+ years ### "The most complete MRP tool for our Cosmetic Production Manufacturing Operations" December 30, 2024 5.0 We are using MRPEasy as our Production management tool for all our cosmetics filling production, whereas it's for our own brand or for our customers. We also use it as our inventory management tool to process all our purchase orders, packaging consumptions during productions. We also use the CRM option to plan all our customer orders, and this is really brillant. Basically, it's our complete backbone for all production related tasks about managing our cosmetic production process. We can also have all the tracking on batch that is highly critical in cosmetic, and it enables us to be fully GMP compliant. I can only recommend MRPEasy as it is really one of the only tool we found out that is not only super powerful, but can be adapted to any type of manufacturing, with a very good quality/price ratio and plenty of features that are really useful. On top of that, we have seen over the last years a real evolution of the software, which is constantly being updated with meaningful additional features. Pros A complete MRP processing platform that can be adapted to any type of business, and that can be very customised to all our specific needs, with a very powerful and user-friendly frontend view. We can run our entire Cosmetic production business for our brand and for our third-party customers from this application, at the exception of "formula" specific work (which is run by a specific professional cosmetic app). We can run from purchase order to CRM to Manufacturing Order and Plannification within one single app, and this is very powerful. The speed and reactivity of the SaaS platform is also great, which makes it very pleasant to use. It also let us being fully GMP compliant thanks to the traceability function which is critical for Cosmetics Manufacturing. Cons Sometimes, some operations are quite repetitive like adding a file to many different items: manufacturing order, item with batch produced, inspection, ... But it's manageable. It also lacks a bit of ready made integration, like direct integration with several apps we'd like to use, or through connector. It has improved our cost controls, inventory management and overall efficiencies. Pros MRPeasy is so straight forward to use. It all is set out in such a logical manner. Cons All our international suppliers require prepayment, I would like to be able to send the prepayment invoice to Xero, but unfortunately it can't be sent until it has a payment against it. Kantata was very expensive and did not appear to have additional features to support the higher price.
