President Building Materials Used the software for: 2+ years ### "MRPeasy works well for the small manufacturer" January 30, 2025 5.0 Overall has helped us to have clarity on where we are at on each job and given us a lot better view looking forward. Pros It has really helped with our scheduling and inventory. We use it to manage product and people from the purchasing of raw material to shipping finished goods. For the money it is the best program we've found. Cons It is really hard to get a detailed report on a manufacturing order. I like to see how our projected time matches up with actual on each process but I haven't found a way to do that. We have to create our own reports which means a lot of double entry. Someone always answers a call for help. Pros integrates well with both Xero and WooCommerce. This was a fundamental choice for us. Cons There are a small number of things that could be improved. In order to send an invoice I have to either switch to Xero and send from there, or download the invoice and attach it to an email. January 29, 2025 5.0 Im very happy with MRP, I would just like if the price was a little bit lower in my opinion. But overall it is worth it in the long term. Since this software will help me alot. Pros I really like that the software is very complex and have alot of functions. Functions I didn't think I needed but really want to use now. It is very quick to use and find items etc. I love that I can have control of basically everything. Cons The problem I have is that it takes a while for me to set my inventory up with MRP, but thats most likely because I have not had a great stock control earlier and I have choosen to convert alot of products to BOM in order to have full control of the products cost, time to make and stock for each part. October 4, 2024 5.0 Overall it has done everything we need it to do, and it’s easier to use than 3 other systems we tested, while still being a very capable platform. Pros We only use a small fraction of its features. I like that we can use it with the very simple workflow we have now, and activate or start using more features as we grow. Cons Write offs - you can only write off one item type at a time using the normal web interface. We have some parts that get scrapped during production, and when we write them off it would be useful to enter them as a list rather than one by one. The chat bot is also super helpful when you don’t know how to do something, and need help. Pros It’s an easy way to track all builds, parts & inventory. As someone who’s never used a parts/ordering system I have found it User friendly. Cons I wish there was a way to auto email the vendor the PO directly from the PO once it’s been created, instead of having to download it and send it manually. Pros Integration into xero is good. Very good intake done by the sales team. Made by engineers so technically stable. The interface is clunky, but just managable. Cons The support side is as flexible as a wooden door. To have 3 small things done to the layout of invoice and packing list, they charge 23 hours x 150 USD = 3450 USD development work. Previously, I was maintaining several complicated excel files to manage our production. Switching to MRPeasy eliminated all of those and greatly simplified our processes. Currently, I have a virtual assistant that takes care of all aspects of our order fulfillment using MRPeasy. It's very hands-off for me now. Very intuitive and easy to learn/train to. Cons Videos move at breakneck speed, but you can rewatch as many times as needed. Most users had this observation. Also what I like is the continuous updating. Also in case of support the response is relatively quick. Pros Back then, the most important feature was the multilayer BOM. Most competitors were only able to go 1 level deep. Or otherwise the costs would go up significantly. Also for us MRP easy became essential for stock management, purchasing, supplier management. The interface is also very intuitive compared to other softwares Cons During procurement, you have to send a mail, this process can be improved. It opens directly to your mail account, but only a link to the PDF document. I want to attach the PDF. It takes the general contact information, instead of the responsible person of the company. Next to this it messes up the layout of the mail message. From the start, they were very helpful as we implemented and transitioned and continue to give us top notch support - even though we are a tiny business. Pros One of the only MRP systems that fits our needs. We are a small manufacturer that sells wholesale to our dealers, and keeping track of our inventory and forecasting future manufacturing needs and purchasing requirements are key. has allowed us to meet both of those goals. Also, there customer support and success operations are very responsive and top notch! Cons While it is good at the order processing function, there are some tweaks that could be made for those of us that drop ship to our dealer's customers. No deal breakers though - this is an excellent product. It's multi-functional, yet understandable to standard users who just want to get a job done. " August 1, 2023 4.0 was already partially implemented when I joined the company, and I did not have any previous experience with MRP systems when I joined. I initially thought that it was not the most user friendly system. It looks very "old school". We have been trying a few different systems, exact because our finace department uses exact, and we also gave odoo a try to perhaps move to more of a ERP system. However I felt that both exact and odoo was inferior to MRP easy, BUT, for the functionality that MRP easy offer I do feel that you charge a very high price for it. We pay 79 per user simply for a MRP system when for instance Odoo charges 39 for a ERP solution. We will definitely move away from MRP easy in the future, when we grow our manufacturing team, if you do not change this. I want my employees to be able to use functions like bar code scanning on their tablets without having to pay enterprise / professional subscriptions for them as well. Pros I like that it is quite easy to customize the views, (once you have learned how to do it). The amount of customizable options are also very good compared to some other programs. Cons I do feel that sometimes it is not completely logical to me where to find the settings, the way you have decided to put some settings under enterprise, some settings under professional etc makes it hard to find what I am looking for.
