I have had considerable experience in almost every module in Glue up (1+ year) and I can say that I appreciate the contacts and event data gathering that assists us in reaching our equity goals.

Pros

We like Glue Up for the ability to integrate several different areas of work into one platform, simplifying tasks and data.

Cons

Some features are not available yet, or are pretty basic. ( follow up surveys) Some advances features require an upgrade to your plan.

### "Associations with active members and content - Keep Looking"

The backend is easy to figure out, but you have to be willing to spend time troubleshooting workarounds to make it work with the front-end. Also the home page and certain other pages are locked and require you to request help from their in-house developer regularly. Which means they either need to hire more developers to assign each account, or they need to make it easier to update content directly without requiring their developer every time. Doesn't need to be completely like a shopify experience where you can drag & drop (although that would be nice), but you guys do need to loosen the reins a bit.

Pros

Ease of use in terms of backend searches, reporting and updating front-facing site content. Emphasis on backend -- the workflow to onboard and manage users undermines all that's good, and creates more work.

Cons

The most important thing of all -- a streamlined MEMBER experience. Where to start: 1. Registering and completing your profile page does NOT auto-populate into the actual database where it counts. It's just profile info for your profile that's akin to a company only social media page. For all its AI features, it should absolutely be intuitive enough to populate as a member profile in the actual database. Herein starts all the company access and manual login issues that will require you to create a position just to handle -- which again, could be streamlined with one single autofill and then that hire could instead be used to grow your membership using the tools this site offers more effectively. But priority above all else -- it creates more steps for the members and when your members pay a significant amount to be able to access their account and exclusive content, it should damn well be a seamless process. Super basic. If I go into every other detail that trickles down from this one detail, I'd be here all day. But make sure to at least ask these questions at consult/onboarding stage.

And one other, can't remember but their main feature was the "community portals" that function like social media pages among members, which is not a need/priority for us. Yours happened to also offer to ensure firewall and easy access to member only content.

Their backend and front-end was a mess and we were paying double per year. At least your website/design/page formatting is straight forward and visually far better. But the clincher for the move was onboarding members and making firewalled content easier to manage. You are better at the firewalled content management part, but we clearly did not solve our member management issue, might have even exhausted the issue further.

The experience has been very good with the team being very responsive. The team always gives us assistance when we reach out.

Pros

Being able to send out mass emails to our members. It makes membership engagement easier while also being able to see how many people are engaging.

Cons

Not being able to create membership payment plans. Some of our members would like to join but can only pay on a monthly basis and not the full yearly amount.

Glue Up is a great option for any size entity. Representatives were very informative of program features. There were plenty of training resources available. Our account Manager checked in with us throughout the year to see if we had any problems or to just update us on program changes. Price was very reasonable. We were up and running quickly.

Pros

Ease of maintaining memberships with one app. Members are invoiced automatically by the software through email instead of our old way of using a database to create/print invoices and mailing them. Sending a mass communication to members is very simple as well. Great option for our small, county owned golf course club.

Cons

I wish it could generate a report of account balances for each member to keep a record of all past due amounts. We have only used Glue Up for about 6 months, so maybe I just haven't discovered the right option yet. I can view individual membership accounts and outstanding invoices. I would just like to print a report of all member balances as of a specific date for Board review.

\[sensitive content hidden\] with Glue Up was quick to follow up with the inquiry. He showed a demo of the product after talking with me to see what our club needed. Price was very reasonable. I originally just wanted a foolproof membership program to invoice members and process payments easier. He showed me several features that would possibly be useful for the club as we progressed.

Our bookkeeper would change the membership database unintentionally which created problems trying to generate invoices. She also would confuse payments because there wasn't enough detail on the invoices. I was looking for an option that would be easy to learn for non-accounting experienced employees for a reasonable cost since we are a small entity. Also figured it would provide an easier way to report club activity to the Board.

It has been good onboarding was difficult and needs improvement. We were told things that really didn't happen and data merge did not do what we were told it would do.

Pros

Event registration and management is easy you can tell the platform started as an event management software.

Cons

Finance fees on ticket transactions and cost of product. Managing memberships and contacts is too cumbersome. Need more ways to manage and merge memberships for groups.

Cons

It can be very technical, and it has limited templates for Campaigns. We would also appreciate the ability to load our own templates.

Overall, my experience has been somewhere in the middle. Customer service has drastically improved (including response time and helping us solve issues) from the time we started using it in early 2023, and we've had great customer success managers. However, there are some things to be desired, but it looks like a few of those, including API use and calendar integration have been or will be implemented in 2025.

Pros

For the most part, uploading data is easy, log in is easy, and event creation is easy.

Cons

Sometimes, e-mail addresses for contacts will randomly get put on a suppression list and you don't always know it, so password resets don't always get sent. Customers have overall problems using the app. They don't always find it intuitive. For instance, checking in to events on the app could be better. Possibly the biggest thing is 'registering' their accounts so the system recognizes them at log in. Another major issue is how chapter memberships flow down from the umbrella instance and aren't viewable in other chapters, although I understand why this is the case.

It's great to have a proper CRM / AMS with all our membership in one place. It has also helped us think through our decisions as an association.

Pros

We have been pleased with the customer service, ease of use, and the event capabilities of the Glue Up. As the communications director, it has given me more ways to connect with the membership. It's a great value!

Cons

We had some minor struggles with our own understanding of the dues collection setup the first time around. But customer support got us back on track, and we're all set up for next year.

Although using Glue Up is new with my organization, it's been fairly easy to learn and the support through the setup process has been EXCELLENT! I can't wait to see what we can do together!

Pros

The interface is user friendly and will increase member engagement. I love how we can customize our events with their own mini-web page that allows attendees to comment and really get one another excited about what's to come.

Cons

It doesn't have an available storefront, which I misunderstood, but hopefully it's a capability that can be integrated at some point.

Our GlueUP experiences has plenty of positives including the ability to bring everything under one roof and allow our memberships team to clearly see all contacts and members without constant export and import/sync with other software.

Cons

Some email marketing functionality is still a little clunky as compared with other purely email marketing software.

What I like most about Glue Up is its user-friendly interface and the seamless integration of multiple event and membership management tools. 1\. I have to sign in several times due to security measures. I agree with the security; however, you must leave at least a couple of months without deleting the information.

Pros

Having all our contacts and memberships in the same place makes it easier to manage, the campaign module allows for nice personalisation of mailings, and the events platform is really well developed and gives our events a professional and cool outlook.

Cons

The platform sometimes encounters bugs and has some inconsistent configuration in some modules but it is constantly evolving and the tech team is super responsive to feedback.

Pros

the number of times we have gotten "Error 404" and how often the page freezes.

A very practical and useful platform for an organisation like ours (Chamber of Commerce) ; it combines features that usually require different apps and platforms so it is great

Cons

I am still working through the distinctions between "member," "membership," and "contacts." Since we had already acquired GlueUp in 2021 and someone else set up the content at that time, I now need to review each entry individually. This process is time-consuming, especially when it comes to removing individuals who should not be on the platform. So, yes, this is a significant downside.

Cons

For small organizations with many contacts, but low-income / lower budget for operations (especially in the non-profit space, where profits are usually used for dedicated projects), it may be pricey.

Lot of features like email campaigns, event set up, registrations and payment gateway options.

Cons

Wish Glueup is not recognised as a mass email system by the computers. This does not happen with all organisations and depends on internal firewall settings of a company though.

Glueup definitely made CRM and event management easier for us and it is nice to have everything consolidated in one system. Having it online grants us access to the system everywhere, especially during this time of uncertainty and WFHs.

Pros

Event page has many templates to use, each with a different focus, so we can set up a new event page within 15 minutes. New payment menthod, Adapay, also allows us to check online payments instantly and making refunds is much more convenient comparing to it was in the past. The new feature "waiting list" is also great as it can clearly differentiate itself from the approval list.

Cons

While having many pre-sets templates made everything faster and easier, the backend set ups could provide more flexibility (small things like, we can only set up the event date and time, but we can't change the title of that section, which is always "SAVE THE DATE"). It would be nice to make many small feature editable, both for events page and email campaign designs. While having Adapay is a huge improvement, making partial refunds can cause issues. For example, two tickets were paid by one payment, then only one ticket was refunded, but the "total revenue" in event dashboard still shows two tickets.
