From my sales person \[sensitive content hidden\] , who met with me multiple times to make sure I knew what I was agreeing to, to \[sensitive content hidden\] all of the people have been incredibly patient, nice, and eager to help. It really did make the process pretty painless.

Pros

Our CRM onboarding team was knowledgeable, dedicated, and went to great extremes to get us up to speed, answer questions, and prepare us to be successful. \[sensitive content hidden\] were a dynamic duo. This stuff can be complex and a huge headache, but they made it enjoyable and did an incredible job for us. We would highly recommend Glue Up and their services and team mentality!

Cons

The only con I would relay would be that the technical meetings...the "how to's" along with the MY Glue Up development trainings, could be a little more in-depth and step-by-step. There are a lot of assumption that comes into play when someone is delivering the educational pieces, and a little more specificity would be helpful, in my opinion. That being said, there are many resources, and it's great that you can go back in and take the training any time, and in addition, work with tech support if you still have challenges or unanswered questions.

I have found all the staff, sales, implementation, account management and support very helpful. They are patient and timely. The membership management and event management (including all connections to the finance application) work well. They give you great visibility and look very professional. Users can easily access their event registrations and membership invoices, and it is easy to communicate via the email templates. Although a little basic, they really do cover everything you should need. The easy-to-market event templates have saved us so much time. This is a great application and a great value for money.

Pros

Event Management and Contact Management were easy for the user to navigate and integrate into our website.

Cons

Although integration was quite simple, you did have to (with Glueup's help) integrate and set up on your own.

Pros

The chapter management functionality within the overall system is great. I also really like the Facebook style community forum functionality and ability to create events for your community.

Cons

There is a lot not to like however compared to other membership management systems. The EDM system is incredibly dated, lacks programability and design functionality, is clunky, and if you want to do anything more than write some text it severely falls down - it cannot manage images and emails do not come through in high res or correct formatting in Microsoft Outlook. The event page lacks adaptability if you want to create well designed event landing pages with your own branding. The event ticketing functionality is also very limited in the data it collects and how you can run ticketing, add-ons and session registration. If you care about your branding, want to use this as a high functioning CRM system which can send well designed emails to all email hosts, and you expect a lot out of your events ticketing and platform management then GlueUp isn't for you. It is great for taking member payments and registrations but otherwise it is overly complex with a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles without meeting basic association management comms, marketing and event requirements.

Glue Up is constantly adding and refining new features and has excellent customer support. The member community platform is well designed.

Cons

Managing contacts in the database is a learning curve. There are multiple places a contact exists which isn't always intuitive.

Overall experience with Glue Up was very positive! The software is modern and user friendly with a lot of customization to the data collected and displayed. Staff are great and the onboard process was pretty well documented and largely helpful.

Pros

The software interface for users is very modern and the social media-style community makes the experience very approachable. The workflow and automation for membership is going to make my life, come renewal time, SO much easier. Price was very reasonable for all it includes!

Cons

We were sold on the promise of a couple features that weren't actually available so that was frustrating (ex. shopping cart for purchase of tickets to multiple different events). I also wish the integration with QBO was more robust for custom invoices.

The team was supportive throughout our website project and worked closely with us to bring it to life. Like any new system, there was a learning curve, and we did experience a few technical hiccups early on, such as a data upload that required some manual adjustments. Training new staff has taken a bit more time than expected due to the platform's complexity, and some of our project meetings felt a little rushed. However, we recognize the Glue Up team is balancing multiple clients, and they’ve always made an effort to support us when it matters. Despite a few bumps along the way, we’ve seen the benefits of using a comprehensive platform like Glue Up and are excited to keep exploring its full potential.

Pros

We’ve really enjoyed working with Glue Up because of how versatile and user-friendly the platform is. It allows us to manage our membership efficiently, host virtual events with ease, and even create micro websites—all in one place. One of the standout aspects of our experience was the exceptional support from the Glue Up team. They were incredibly communicative and responsive throughout the entire website development process, helping us bring our vision to life and ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

Cons

While our overall experience with Glue Up has been positive, there were a few areas that proved challenging. During a mass data upload, several sections didn’t transfer correctly, which required us to spend time manually fixing the issues. The platform itself isn’t very beginner-friendly, and because it’s not widely known, it’s been difficult to get new staff up to speed quickly. The website development process also had some hiccups—we had to make several rounds of edits because the structure for submitting content wasn’t clearly outlined from the start. Additionally, the biweekly meetings felt rushed, limited to just 30 minutes, and often gave the impression that the team was stretched thin. In one instance, the Zoom link provided didn’t work, and after 15 minutes of no response, we were only left with half the time and weren’t offered an extension. While we understand they may be managing many clients, it was frustrating to feel like we weren’t a priority during key moments of the process.

This platform tries to do it all for associations and does no one thing well and almost everything poorly. Navigating around is slow and difficult; members information is difficult to organize; reporting functionality is very basic, limited to filters; information is scattered, not allowing you to compare and analyze critical data; email builder is awful; deliverability is bad; website content management is locked down so you have to wait two weeks to make any type of update; customer support is slow and terrible, revolving door of new staff and account managers. Don’t be fooled by the low annual fee, you will pay for it either by having to hire consultants or additional staff to manage it for you, or spend all of your time trying to figure out how this slow, bulky, cumbersome thing works.

Pros

It’s easy to access your members and contacts, but that’s it. They’ve put a lot of thought into functionality and set it up logically, unfortunately not from a simple user experience point of view.

Cons

No flexibility; difficult to navigate; cannot customize many of the communications messages; website content management is very restrictive; customer support responsiveness is extremely slow.

While we’ve suggested a few improvements, overall Glue Up has been effective in managing both events and memberships, and we find the platform to be user-friendly and well-aligned with our operational needs.

The interface is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. Ease of completing actions such as events set up, member details changes, campaign creation etc are great.

We have suggested a few improvements to our contact at Glue Up, there are a few limitations within certain modules - e.g. transitioning members in bulk to another member type, allocating partial payments to invoices, being able to process a partial refund without voiding the entire payment record, being able to export relevant information for event reporting

Screenworks experience with Glueup has been extremely satisfying. Where we were once using multiple programs to meet our business needs we now have all our needs managed through the one robust program which also provides accessible customer service to help address any queries.

Pros

Glueup is a critical resource for Screenworks, predominantly because there are so many functions within the one program and it also supports a broad range of complementary plug ins. It is simple to use and addresses what we need for membership management, marketing and events. Screenworks uses Glueup's contact management for our multiple databases, campaign management for our EDM, newsletters and media releases, Communities to enable our members to communicate directly with each other, the event management capacity is robust and we use it for event promotion, ticketing and registration and financing. Their help line and customer response is always prompt and assists with any problems we have. There are regular and comprehensive training programs available online which are valuable for training staff.

Cons

The program costs have increased significantly over time as our membership, emails and usage increases, however Glueup has always been open to negotiating pricing to meet our organisations needs.

It has made it incredibly easy for our members to renew their membership independently. After renewal links were sent to eligible members, approximately 70% renewed their membership within the first 24 hours of receiving the link.

We wish their was a function for members to renew for multiple years at a time. This is somewhat serviced by the auto-renew function, but it would be great to have both options

Our community had a significant growth in the last few years and we decided to implement a membership management platform. This is how we found Glue Up. We use Glue Up for managing our members data base, for events management and for communications. We also tried the community page, which is very similar with a facebook group page. This did not work for us in the end, because our members were already used with another way of keeping in touch, so we dropped the community page. Since it's a complex platform, we are still learning and observing what works for us and what doesn't while using it. It was difficult to identify all details from the onboarding period since it was our first experience with a membership management tool.

Pros

The events management is my preferred module. We even use it for hybrid events combining online and on site events, and it was appreciated by colleagues from other chapters. You have everything you need in one place (set-up, public page, analytics, comms, attendance, survey, badges, certificates). Also works well as data base for members and contacts, connected with all other modules. Our dedicated contact person is very responsive and supports with any questions or case study we have. Very good analytics for all modules. You can see what reach you have with newsletters, membership data, financial data, events data.

Cons

The community page did not work for us because we already had another solution that was well appreciated. Also, we cannot use the payments module at full capacity due to local methodologies for payments and accounting.

Customer Service is great. The platform is easy to learn and when you run into any tech issues Glue Up support can help solve the problem with a quick response rate.

Cons

There seemed to be some issues with the QuickBooks integration that caused issues for our accounting. That has since been resolved but it makes we wary to trust the system completely.

So far the overall experience has been positive. We have been engaging with the training modules and meetings and they have been very helpful. We have also engaged with GlueUp via other organisations and have had a positive experience.

Pros

GlueUp is intuative and systematic in it's coinstruction. Support us great and resources that are provided are clear and allow access as needed. We are looking forward to using the tools associated with newsletters and other communication tools.

Cons

We are an NPO and there is currently no donation option so we are using the event management to "sell" tickets as a way to donate. We are eager to see how GlueUp develops this option going forward.

Overall, my experience has been somewhere in the middle. Customer service has drastically improved (including response time and helping us solve issues) from the time we started using it in early 2023, and we've had great customer success managers. However, there are some things to be desired, but it looks like a few of those, including API use and calendar integration have been or will be implemented in 2025.

Pros

For the most part, uploading data is easy, log in is easy, and event creation is easy.

Cons

Sometimes, e-mail addresses for contacts will randomly get put on a suppression list and you don't always know it, so password resets don't always get sent. Customers have overall problems using the app. They don't always find it intuitive. For instance, checking in to events on the app could be better. Possibly the biggest thing is 'registering' their accounts so the system recognizes them at log in. Another major issue is how chapter memberships flow down from the umbrella instance and aren't viewable in other chapters, although I understand why this is the case.

Having all our contacts and memberships in the same place makes it easier to manage, the campaign module allows for nice personalisation of mailings, and the events platform is really well developed and gives our events a professional and cool outlook.

Cons

The platform sometimes encounters bugs and has some inconsistent configuration in some modules but it is constantly evolving and the tech team is super responsive to feedback.
