This all in one plugin allows me to monetize part of my content, to sell my coaching services and now my courses as well !

Pros

I love the endless possibilities of settings. This plugin is comprehensive but still relatively easy to use! The icing on the cake is the ability to sell and manage our courses directly in the Memberpress admin. t's intuitive, easy and quick to create and perfectly integrated... I love it!

Cons

It would be nice to have more possibilities in terms of design and layout. Integrations with page builders are a good starting point, but not enough. I do not have enough perspective to provide feedbacks on the management of memberships and payments.

Setting up MemberPress can require you to know and understand a little bit about memberships sites. Once it's set up and configured, I usually don't have to tweak the settings at all. Everything just works. Creating protected content for a course is super easy now too.

Pros

MemberPress allows me to set up basic membership sites as well as fully-customized membership experiences. The code under the hood includes WordPress hooks and filters so folks who are more technically minded can extend it to suit their needs. The new Course Management features allow you to create online classrooms for your users to view a stylish version of your course content. It's quick and easy to build out your course content with without having to worry about spending time customizing layouts .

Cons

Some of the UI is a little clunky. One of the reasons it's been around for so long is because its functionality is robust. Because it's been around for so many years, some of its UI feels a little out of date. They are continually making improvements so this doesn't bother me.

It solves the need of our organization with course and membership management. No plugin in WordPress yet can do such as of writing this review.

Pros

The 2-in-1 feature of Course and Membership plugin for WordPress is very convenient for setting up our course site. The support is also outstanding and helps to solve the errors quickly.

Cons

The limitations in course completion. However integration with other features like gamepress is great

Memberpress has been my main software along the way teaching online, I feel the company is very solid, it keeps improving the product, so I feel safe investing time and effort creating content with this plugin.

Pros

Continuous improvement of the software. Easy integration with PayPal, Stripe and my email marketing software Active Campaign.

Cons

Although doable, is kind of difficult to properly design checkout pages. They should have templates for this :)

It has been easy and seamless to run our membership platform, from registration to member management and even member cancelation process has been easy.

Pros

It is super simple to use, set up and manage memberships with MemberPress software. Having use it for over 3 years we find it to be a great system for our needs. Never had any issues with it so far.

Pros

I spent tons of money for another membership program that was big on marketing but provided NO help with implementation, Memberpress did it all & was easy to use.

Cons

This was a big learning curve for me. For the items I use infrequently I have to look at tutorials.

The setup was easy and straightforward. I was able to migrate users over to the new site with no issues. It went quickly and was smoother than I expected!

Pros

This software is so easy to use. It's been absolutely life-changing for our organization, which started as a brick and mortar business and is now exclusively online. Memberpress makes our site clean, professional, and easy to manage.

Cons

I really have no complaints about this software. It's way better than expected.

We were using S2Member prior to switching to Member Press. The difference in the support was key to us because we were not getting any support at all from S2Member. Support for Member Press is exceptional

It's totally functional and meets all of our needs

We're small so the cost was a stretch for us but it's been well worth the investment

It’s great! Can’t recommend them enough.

Pros

Easy to get set up and running with. Well priced, and works well with WordPress! Very happy with MemberPress software!

Cons

Some hiccups with the course builder. But that could be issues with the integration with the theme on our end. Overall, the MemberPress team has build a great product.

I can't express how amazing Memberpress is in terms of how easy it is to setup your membership. I got a membership set up in a couple days without any issues.

Cons

I don't like that I had to get a separate license for the affiliate platform.

Our membership has grown exponentially and all the moving parts are managed seamlessly. I also appreciate that every update or upgrade is well tested before it comes out.

Pros

We implemented MemberPress in 2016 as a replacement for a 7-year-old bespoke/ hand-coded system and only wish we had done it sooner. Replacing an old system was made easy by MemberPress because there was a way to do everything from the previous - more efficiently and effectively - plus so many new and useful capabilities. Also important, we tried 2 other membership systems first and discarded them because they did not do everything that needed to be done. MemberPress was the right choice, hands down.

Cons

Least - was only that it took a long time to set it up and the learning curve was steep. But it was never frustrating because we had had so many bad experiences prior. Once we started with MemberPress it all went smoothly. It just took a great deal of effort to do it the way we wanted it done.

I've been using memberpress since 2017 and currently use it to run 3 different membership programs on two different domains. Everything in MP is laid out logically and the learning curve is pretty short.

Pros

Powerful and flexible. Relatively easy to set up and maintain.

The best solution for subscription type e-learning or for restricting your content. Sadly it is a little bit hard to customize if you’re new to this and the design with regards to payment methods or log in are flat “boring”. The courses “new feature”, needs a lot of things to improve, I don’t even know how to use it and I can’t use elementor with it and has no quizzes available yet. There is also not enough guide on how to use it, the guy from youtube is confusing. Overall with regards to content protection I love it. I forgot to mention, some customers who request for password reset don’t receive any reply - again maybe I don’t know how to set it up.

Pros

I really love the access restrictions, wherein you can select any content that you want to block.

Cons

The new feature “Courses” needs at lot of improvement and also need more guide on how to use it.

### "Robust features for a reasonable price"

Problems solved: new and existing members can renew and pay their membership online. Extra benefits: members start to recognize the added value of the site as a communication tool with exclusive content for joined members.

Pros

Initial setup and integration are easy, yet required a lengthy process to do it according to the organizations existing membership structure.

Cons

When something isn't working the way we expected, it became challenging to find the right answers in the vast online documentation. Ultimately, the system works as it was programmed to do, but sometimes it was hard to figure out where our setup was not exactly what it was meant to do. (Hence the need to re-read the documentation to find out where the limitations lie)

Both products are robust in their own right, but the overall cost, when including all add-ons, made more sense.

I originally purchased WooCommerce and had a lot of trouble trying to configure it for use with memberships. It required several add-on purchases. And then still was not compatible with my WordPress Theme (despite claiming to be, and this conclusion came from the Authorize IT help group). Whereas WooCommerce customer service was horrible, extremely slow to receive replies, often replies were irrelevant, and where relevant required coding experience to understand/implement...Memberpress Customer service was amazing. Setup was easy without support; however, I wanted to do a few things with memberships that were non-traditional They were very quick with help, and it was very easy to understand, and included screenshots and instructions. It was clear that it was worth the money and effort to make the switch to Memberpress. If they fully integrated with Stripe to allow use of Apple Pay, I'd say it was perfect for what I needed/wanted.

Ease of use (I am not in the computer field and do not code, and it was simple to set up) Designed specifically for Memberships

Cons

Doesn't fully integrate with Stripe (e.g., cannot use Apple Pay, cannot customize Stripe invoices)

### "Amazing Customizable Membership Product"

Pros

I was previously on Kajabi but could not get that product to look exactly how I wanted it to. Nor could I get the function. However, I knew I could on my own site… but that left the problem of managing a membership and payment gateway. Enter here memberpress for the win! What a great solution that is straightforward to use and comes with so many amazing features like automatic emails, rules to guard content, and multiple membership options.

Cons

Testing the features after creating my membership took some time because it didn’t integrate with Stripe as easily as I’d like at first . The accounts would link but they didn’t communicate well enough to send off the test email. However memberpress customer support was amazing in helping me trouble shoot this.

Pros

Its so simple to setup and use, and the team at Memberpress did a great job at their documentation. For my site I use the included courses feature, that is making it easy to track my members progress.

Cons

In the courses, included with Memberpress. The only feature that is missing is the option to use sequence dripping, rather than having 50+ rules per year, for a site that releases a new lesson every week.

In general very happy with Memberpress.

Pros

Love how easy it is to set up memberships. Love the rules and partial access rules feature. Love its integration with Convertkit and Stripe and Divi etc.

Cons

Adding users manually to a membership is a bit complex - you have to add a subscription and then a transaction to it. That process can be made smoother. Also, the documentation can be a little more detailed, especially to find relevant stuff.
