Many hours were spent trying to make MemberPress do what it could not do. Although the product is good for a new business, its really bad for a decades old one. We thought we would be able to load all the members in, apply a membership type to them and get a bill sent to them. But no, they all have to sign up individually. Its ridiculous and cost us a lot.

Pros

The MemberPress Groups and Rules are easy to use.

Cons

When we bought MemberPress we thought we would be able to load our existing member database straight in. After a month of trying, MemberPress finally informed me that it was just not possible. All the members had to sign up individually via the website. This was a massive inconvenience. We haven't completed the transition yet, but I know there will be a lot of members who just cant be bothered and we will lose them. Our members are our bread and butter. So we have lost income by switching to your product.

Very good app. I can earn more than I pay.

Pros

MP has so many functions that help me create a professional community for Microsoft Excel online learning website. I can create rules that control the way members use my videos, courses, and posts. What I like most is email function that I can send to each member in order to communicate, suggest, and help.

Cons

MP should create more videos showing frontend on how user enrolls to course. When I change status from pending to complete, your app works very good for a period of time. Right now I have to enroll courses to each member manually. There is no translation page for each keywords in MP app. Please see samples from Joomla : Memberships Pro. I have to use another app to translate English to Thai. If you can lower price for old member after the first year lower than what I have paid, it will not be the least I like about his software.

Pros

The price allowed me to cut costs by a lot in my business and once I got the hang of it it’s very easy to use

Cons

Initially I found it really hard to figure out how to get started but their support team was really helpful. I’m not very tech savvy but Now it’s very obvious how to use

MemberPress ticks all of the boxes for our clients. It makes the membership subscription process 100% easier for our clients. Compared to the other membership plugins that we have had the opportunity to use, Membership by far has been the best one by far!

Pros

Easy to install and set up. It integrates into WordPress very easily. Setting up a payment processor and additional Add-ons is extremely easy. Setting up rules is simple and effective. Setting up membership plans is a breeze. Support was able to answer any questions that by email which was great.

Cons

It's repetitive if you need to manually set up subscriptions and transactions for existing WordPress users if you manually import your list. It would be nice to be able to one click make all account active and then take subscription payments for the next billing cycle. The membership plan page options to display the plans are horrible. You do need to have some CSS/Programming knowledge to make this look nice. It would be nice to have a comparison table to showcase the membership plans nicely.

MemberPress has allowed me to get my training programs on line quickly and easily. If you are a mid-tier WordPress user you should find it easy to use. For beginners, the online help and support are great and simple to follow.

Pros

I decided on MemberPress because I wanted to create a membership site for my courses - it seemed like a logical fit. As a web designer I have used and trialled a lot of plugins over the last few years and I found MemberPress to be intuitive in most of the setup. Where I couldn't work it out the support documentation, along with videos made it simple to follow along and resolve any issues. It was quick to setup and get started - and now it is generating income - the lead time was short to market and that is every marketer's dream.

Cons

I did find the rules for linking the courses to the memberships a little less intuitive , but once I had watched a couple of support videos, got going with that quickly and easily.

MemberPress gave me both memberships and course delivery in a user friendly format which also looks good on the front end without any customisation.

Great. Love the software. The support has been life-saving.

Pros

Software is easy to use, support is GREAT, and it integrates with Thrive Theme Apprentice with no issues.

Cons

I'd like it to be easier to sell stand-alone (complementary) products with my memberships. Or to create ways for a person to purchase several things at once. I have not used MP with WooCommerce, so that might be an option there...IDK.

Very positive. Worth the money.

Pros

Easy to install and use. Never had any issues with WordPress compatibility. Very sophisticated options for permissions management.

Cons

Some of the key pages are difficult to edit - e.g. checkout - without more advanced CSS skills. If you use a Theme editor it's difficult to keep core pages on brand. Also, while range of add-ons is really good, documentation on how to make them work with MemberPress could be substantially improved.

Memberpress makes it easy to manage Membership sites, so have been awesome expereience using it.

Pros

The main feature I like in Memberpress would be the way content protection rules work (once created, these apply automatically to that type of Content). Memberpress also helps you create checkout pages easily on the Website. Also, you can have one time payments option or can create monthly subscriptions.

Cons

None, that I can think of at the moment.

So far so good. Someone suggested I try another, less expensive option for my membership site, but everything is working so well with MemberPress that I didn't think the money I would save was worth the trouble.

Pros

MemberPress was so simple to set up. I indicated what pages were to be protected. Set up the various membership levels. Integrated it with the Stripe payment portal. In less than an hour, I was done and people were signing up.

Cons

It took me a few tries to figure out the membership levels, but that's not really a fault of MemberPress. It was more me trying to do things too fast and missing steps in the documentation.

MemberPress was not the first membership site software I tried but it will be the last. My limited technical knowledge made it simple to install. I am looking forward to moving all my courses from another product to the new courses function.

Cons

The installation did require some tech knowledge but it was simple enough after a little from the customer service department.

Pros

I found this product incredibly easy to implement into my Wordpress site. It has allowed me to easily create memberships for my web application. It did take some time to go through the documentation to make sure it was set up properly, but it wasn't overly complicated. I ran into some confusion with setting up Paypal transactions but the Memberpress support was quick to respond and provide guidance.

Cons

I wish there were some additional features for customizing forms and emails to have them match branding on my website.

MemberPress does what more expensive apps do for a fraction of the costs. Not only have I used MemberPress for my 8+ online courses but I've also recommended it to other coaches and colleagues for their online courses. It's super user friendly too.

Honestly- nothing I can think of. I use aweber for email and it integrates beautifully.

At the end of the day MemberPress delivered more than expected for the least investment of time and money.

Pros

MemberPress made it possible to free up the most time-consuming job of my membership site: student access to course files. Absolutely love being able to design and implement coupon codes in the blink of an eye allowing me to simply track source of sign-ups.

It takes an investment of time for the non-technical user.

I have grown my community to over 150 members thanks to Memberpress. I love that it handles every transaction, allows for custom fields upon purchase, and the fact that there are member-specific pages that I can fully design myself using my preferred plugin.

Pros

Memberpress is user-friendly and I love that I can create member-specific webpages that are completely customizable!

Cons

I am trying to learn how to incorporate e-courses using Memberpress. I do wish the software incorporated memberships, courses, AND digital download sales. Additionally, I see cart abandonment occurring because there are several fields to fill out on my website AND on PayPal if the customer doesn't have a PayPal account.

So far the experience has been stellar! They answered questions quickly while we were setting it up and we have had no hiccups or issues with memberships processing properly.

Pros

What I like most about this software is how easy it was to set up and implement it and the fact that you can set it and forget it. Customer support is fantastic and out of all the software we researched this one had the most to provide us for both settings and integrations with other plugins. We have already paid for this software from our memberships sold!

Cons

There are not too many features missing, although for future developement it would be nice to see some expanding referral/affiliate options.

Pros

It's overall use is pretty easy. I have liked everything that I can do so far.

Cons

There needs to be a better way to run reports. I also have had problems with people that are no longer members still showing active on my reports but not on my screen. It has been the one problem that no one has been able to help me with.
