I have experience in Oracle Eloqua, SF Marketing Cloud Advanced, and SF Marketing Cloud Engagement. I find MCAE (Pardot) to be easier to understand and deploy campaigns than it's sisters in the Salesforce marketing product line. Keep in mind that Pardot operates best when adopting a no duplicate record strategy in Salesforce, meaning it is ideal for an ABM go to market strategy. Also keep in mind that Salesforce is putting effort into beefing up Data cloud and marketing cloud advanced and therefore Pardot may not be supported as well in future years.

Pros

Pardot is a fine tool for orchestrating B2B ABM marketing strategies and flows. It works fairly seamlessly with Salesforce and the initial integration is not too complex. Linking to contacts and leads is straightforward and setting up automations and journeys is quick once you get the hang of it.

Cons

UI feels old and outdated. No native connection for Form Assembly (though a form handler is available). No out of the box connections to Campaign members. Marketing attribution logic is confusing.

Switched from

[Oracle Eloqua Marketing Automation](https://www.capterra.com/p/64036/Oracle-Eloqua/)

We made the switch due to company consolidation of it's MarTech stack.

Drag-and-drop editor and reusable templates make it easy to design professional emails without needing deep HTML skills. Features like A/B testing, dynamic content, and predictive engagement ensure that every email is optimized for performance. Whether it’s a one-time campaign or a recurring newsletter, Email Studio gives us full control over design, delivery, and analytics. Journey Builder where is all about orchestrating customer journeys across channels, allows us to design automated, multi-channel customer journeys — meaning we can deliver the right message, at the right time, through the right channel.

Pros

Undoubtly the best tool for communication with clients. The main modules we've been using such as Email Studio, Journey Builder with Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Web Studio enable us to manage data, design campaigns, and automate customer journeys at scale.

Cons

What I least like about SalesForce Marketing Cloud is logg off time out which is by my personal opinion extremely short.

Switched from

ITS SO PERFECT. VERY EASY TO USE, CONVENIENT, CAN EASILY UPDATE INFORMATION.

Pros

It's quite different; it would be hard to fake extensive experience. You could learn how to send emails and make lists in a couple hours, but learning how to put it all together took me months. There's also no sandboxes to learn on and I personally could not have done it on just the Trailheads. Although the Trailheads might get you to the point of being able to talk about general functionality.

Cons

EVERYTHING, SALESFORCE IS VERY CONVENIENT TO USE.
