### "Perfect for integrating personalized email drip campaigns with the Salesforce CRM"

2 way sync with Salesforce CRM

Pros

I've looked at several vendors to set up an email drip campaigns, that also are integrated with our Salesforce CRM. The problem I faced is that our sales reps couldn't launch drip campaigns to prospects by just clicking a button. Pardot solved exactly that problem, b/c it 2-way syncs with the Salesforce CRM. My reps loved it b/c now a prospect could be getting multiple personalized (!) emails from their rep with just one click in the Salesforce CRM

Cons

I am really a big fan of Pardot, but the landing page builder is bad. Pardot is build for emails and the landing page builder is just not good enough to use it.

Primarily website tracking and form functionality with lead creation in the CRM. Some nurture programs.

Pros

It's direct correlation with Salesforce. Being a direct part of their offerings, it pairs really well with SFDC and all it has to offer. More than any other Marketing Automation software I've worked with.

Cons

The UI is pretty dated. In fact, it looks like it's from the 90s or early 2000s but they didn't even exist back then. They're making progress with the Lightning UI, but still some room to go.

Engagement Studio is not drag and drop, so it's time consuming to move the pieces of a journey around.

Pros

Pardot offers a user-friendly interface with a great system for nurturing prioritized leads. This software helps to streamline a once complex series of logging in and out of multiple platforms just to achieve one results. A great time saver overall.

Cons

I do not like the payment plan set-up. I feel like there are ways to further incentivize this process.

If I had to put it in a word, meh. Sub-standard support (typical with a Salesforce product). Standard features but kind of hard to configure. Pretty poor functionality in terms of forms. Decent integration with the Salesforce CRM. Overall just not worth the premium they charge when there are other systems out there that do 99% of what Pardot does at a fraction of the cost.

Pros

Without a doubt the best Pardot feature is the baked-in integration with Salesforce. It could still be a lot better, but it's better than other companies (for obvious reasons).

Cons

The cost. Pardot is expensive, unreasonably so for technology that hasn't really evolved over the years, either from a UI or feature set perspective.

Cons

I would say compared to HubSpot it was more difficult to learn how to use Pardot. It is not as intuitive in my opinion.

Pros

The only pro here is that Pardot is a Salesforce product and therefore integrates pretty seamlessly with salesforce data.

Cons

I work with Pardot from a third-party perspective; i.e. I use the reporting features and back-end features on behalf of clients who have accounts. This is one of the most difficult platforms I've ever used and I think it's important from an integration standpoint to know how a platform works for the people you'll be working with. Reporting is not at all intuitive and is often incorrect, and construction of assets like landing pages is clunky at best.

I prefer a competitor to Pardot from a UX standpoint, however, we had to custom build a LOT of functionality with that tool and salesforce to get the integration we wanted. It is great now, but was painful to get set up. Pardot allows for most of the integration functionality we wanted, especially with SFDC campaigns, right out of the box.

Pros

The close, tight integration with salesforce. There are a significant number of benefits for a demand generation engine to use pardot if they use salesforce CRM.

Cons

The UX isn't great. Adding a hyperlink to a file within an email takes multiple steps within different sections of the tool. Versus other tools I have used, where it can all be executed on the same email editor screen. Contact Records are called prospects, which is fine, but we use the tool for customer communications and this confused a few people at first. The test emails take FOREVER to arrive, although that might have something to do with our SPAM filter. The overall navigation within the tool is not as user friendly.

Pardot is a useful marketing automation tool for Salesforce. It gives our sales team easy access to reports and customer lists and they can work efficiently with Marketing team to send out targeted emails As someone who helped the setup, I am happy with Pardot's out of the box integration with Salesforce objects.

Cons

Pardot is a products with rich features, sometime it takes time to identify the best way to get a job done Also, like Salesforce, neither the product itself nor support is cheap

Insights into visitor traffic, email campaign management.

Pros

Less of a learning curve than full Salesforce or other similar customer data tracking & marketing tools. Editing email templates is fairly straightforward. Love the engagement studio functions where page visits to certain pages can trigger emails to known customers.

Cons

Doesn't seem to have as much depth or ease of analysis as I'd like, though perhaps this is due to a limited access account. However, if that's the case, it should explain this to me. For example, on drip email campaigns, I can see the stats for individual emails, or for all emails in a single drip campaign, but I can't find a single page where I can see all stats for all emails sent to all prospects. I want more analytics than I find with this tool. Also, it was a pain to navigate the Wordpress integration and much of the documentation is outdated and redirects to Salesforce documentation.

Pros

Managing drip campaigns and the ability to consistently market to large groups of leads and PROSPECTS is great.

Cons

I wish salesforce emails had the same functionality as engage emails. I like using engage alerts but I do not have that in salesforce. I have created dynamic templates for delivering content but in salesforce not pardot.

Great product for enterprise level companies. Pardot is a full-service marketing automation tool that really has all the bells and whistles. The reporting is impeccable.

Cons

Pardot can be a little tricky to get used to because there's so much functionality. At times in designing emails, I also found it to be a bit slow/buggy/glitchy, something I wouldn't expect from a product this expensive.

We use Pardot mainly for external communication with our clients. The communication ranges from product updates to event reminders. It is easy to set up campaigns and scheduled communications which helps us stay in touch with our clients.

Overall customer touchpoints and communication flows. This has increased our ROI exponentially though so we have decided to stick with Pardot for that reason alone.

Pros

The ability to customize each individual subscribers flow and touch points has increased our ROI by a ton. We've also been able to implement features and customizations that we have never even thought was possible with using other competitor brands.

Cons

The price. Hands down. I know you get what you pay for, but the price point on this one makes it hard to justify with a smaller email list/customer database.

We didn't know we were paying for a "white glove" service, simply because no one reached out to us. That is - until we informed them we were thinking of leaving them and they tried to collect $8K in invoices that were supposedly unpaid over the course of 3 YEARS, yet no one knew anything. No one informed any active admins of the outstanding balance. No one shut off our access. Only when we were leaving due to non performance did they try to collect on a service we were not getting nor using

Cons

Customer support is still strong but not as good as it once was (used to have customer support chat feature but recently got rid of it). Better integration of Pardot campaigns with Salesforce campaigns would be great. More integrations with other tools.

The Salesforce integration is one of the main selling points, and for companies that rely on Salesforce it's pretty important.

Cons

The interface is inconsistent, confusing and irritating for both experienced and new users alike. The distinction between templates and campaigns is a little blurred. As far as email marketing goes, it's missing some really important features.

Pardot can be very powerful. It can do quite a bit, including manage email marketing, lead segmentation, lead tracking, lead scoring, nurture campaigns and more. Best of all, it syncs perfectly with Salesforce.

Pros

The updated interface is wonderful. I also really enjoy the new Engagement Studio when compared to the older drip programs. It's powerful and automation rules, dynamic content, drip campaigns and more really add a lot to your marketing department.

Cons

It can definitely be pricey.

Pros

Great value for money and has helped us take our marketing campaigns to the next level. Seems generally robust and integration with Salesforce improving.

Cons

Integration with Salesforce is still a work in progress (after several years), especially around reporting. Terminology is confusing and reporting at campaign level weak.

Pros

I love Pardot's connection with Salesforce, makes everything seamless and easily transferable. It is also great to be able to quickly and easily design and edit emails within the platform and this is a feature we use a lot.

Cons

Pardot's form integration to our website is not the most visually appealing and is hard to edit (need to know code). Would be awesome to have more "attractive" form options.

Great experience learning and using the tool, but I'd recommend having someone with a Pardot certification being a part of the team so they can help get the most out of the tool.

Pros

I haven't found a better tool for email than Pardot. There are so many features that it's hard to even find time to learn them all. That being said, you can get a lot down with just a little bit of know-how.

Cons

The tool does so much that it be a little bit too complicated at time. Expertise is needed to really use it because sending out bad emails is never a good look.

Pros

If you are using Salesforce and not using Pardot then you're missing out on opportunities to improve your marketing/lead management. The best part about Pardot is how we could easily integrate it with Wordpress (they have a plugin) and then using lead capturing forms to feed leads & folloup with them.

Cons

It does have a learning curve, and sometimes the Wordpress plugin is not quickly updated with new releases thus we had minor incompatibilities (i.e. Widgets not showing up due to the Pardot plugin).
