Massive post-sale cognitive dissonance - not saying Hubspot is better, but I'm really regretting this purchase

Pros

Robust, customizable system with many features

Cons

Byzantine and near to no onboarding - we have had it for 3 months with no clear onboarding process - all we get area bunch of random links from our sales executives and sale support - They do a great with their Sales CRM , but fail miserably with their Pardot/Account Engagement

I've used Pardot in the tech and manufacturing industry and have found the tools to be intuitive, easy to grasp and accomplish what I need to do (build campaigns, generate leads, nurture prospects and enable sales teams to close more business faster.

Pros

Easy to pick up quickly

Cons

Sync with CRM can be complex. Lots of details. Make sure you are involved in the integration from the start.

I have used Pardot for several years, but it stills leaves some to be desired. While the distinctions are clear, it doesn't seem to offer a marked advantage over free email clients, especially for a SMB.

Pros

email marketing templates are helpful and time-saving

Cons

emails end up in spam folders much too often; cannot say with confidence that it is worth the money.

Email Marketing, Landing Page Builder

Pros

The ability to make marketing emails and landing page builder is good. The social media scheduling is convenient.

Cons

When we went through the Demo for Pardot, we were promised the world and delivered a headache. Their SEO tool doesn't work, the social media scheduling doesn't tell you your optimal time to post and the everything is very confusing to set up.

Pros

I was using Hubspot before I switched over to Pardot. The best thing about the change was the incredible integration with Google Adwords. It was able to completely integrate with Adwords and helped give advice for better ways to improve.

Cons

This was super costly. That is my biggest complaint. I worked with the sales rep, he was awesome, and was able to get a good discount, but it was still very expensive.

The biggest way Pardot empowers their users is by their extensive blog with tips and tricks to get their marketing campaigns off the ground, their amazing customer support and their partnership with willing and able consultants and implementation specialists. The system is user friendly with a consistent UI that maintains familiarity between different functions. Immediate integration with SFDC, and the ability to connect with several other systems, makes Pardot the best choice to get tracking on all areas of your marketing efforts. The ability to run a campaign, whether a product launch, webinar or general lead nurturing, from start to finish out of one system is great for SMBs with limited time and resources. In addition to being a beneficial tool for marketers, Pardot also makes sales teams more efficient by allowing them to follow up with the leads that have expressed the most interest and not waste time on ones that are not ready or have grown cold - and instead add them to a lead nurturing campaign that will alert them in that lead takes action again.

Pros

It's great how it syncs with Salesforce. Importing new lists is easy and so is creating automation rules.

Cons

It does the job, but it's design functions and usability for email aren't stellar compared to others that are way cheaper. Other email builders like campaign monitor, mail chimp and Hubspot have better design options and are much more straightforward!

Overall, it is a very good product. Certainly worth the investment if you are can invest the time and resources to improve your marketing efforts.

Pros

As with most Salesforce products, it is easy to use and integrate into your org. It can be used on a base level or can be full developed. This tool has been very helpful in updating and improving our communication plans and marketing campaigns.

Cons

Salesforce products sometimes value clicks over code too much. I am not a programmer at heart but there are certain times when using this software (as with most Salesforce products) that the default click-based approach limits what you can do. Thankfully, if you have programming skills, you can get around some of these limitations.

Theres potential but so much holding this back

Pros

It integrates into Sales force which is a huge plus. It gives powerful insights across campaigns.

Cons

It's very clunky and definitely not user friendly at all. There isn't not even a tutorial, so I was trying to learn step by step myself how to work this. Also I've had negative experiences with customer support.

Pros

It links up with our Salesforce so it makes the marketing to sales handoff much easier. It is very thorough in the reporting aspect.

Cons

It is the opposite of intuitive. It takes lots of practice to figure out how to use it, and they don't let you try it out until 8 weeks of training is over with. It makes the learning process much slower.

Pardot is the most complete marketing automation system available on the market today. We originally selected the tool because the quality of the email marketing tool far surpassed every other MA vendor, but Pardot has consistently delivered an excellent experience in every way. The system integrates with our CRM perfectly, offers sophisticated content distribution and automation options, and delivers incredibly accurate real-time prospect tracking. Pardot helps us motivate prospects through every part of the funnel faster and more effectively than any other tool. It allows us to deliver relevant, personalized messages to better connect with our future customers.

Cons

We love everything about Pardot. You will hear a lot of feedback from other vendors will about how the system's reporting/analytics package is not robust enough but we haven't found that to be the case at all. The system is incredibly easy to use, and the more thought you put into your campaigns, the more intelligence you'll be able to derive from them. Pardot does everything we need it to do and does it incredibly well.

It is a great tool that provides you with great business intelligence over prospects that visit specific links you send over emails or when they visit your website.

Cons

It can be a bit confusing at first because it requires a lot of clicking to get to a place or to create lists.

I liked how powerful Pardot was and the sheer number of people you could manage in the system. It also had nice Salesforce integration. However, the hard to edit templates and complicated back-end made it difficult to use long term.

Pros

Pardot is great for sending out mass emails using simple templates. I also like the ability to sort a person by their "pardot score"

I do NOT like how hard it is to edit templates and how clunky and hard to find everything is

\- being part of salesforce means that it is a credible and reliable piece of software - their customer help service is second to none - the resources they have to offer are fantastic - super intuitive and easy to use/learn

Cons

\- the PRO version is quite expensive - Pardot does not have as much integration functionality as some other CRM tools out there on the market

It's cheap. Like almost free with our SFDC subscription. Makes it hard to rip and replace when you're a small team.

Pros

I like the insights that you get from sent emails. It's not better than many of the tools out there but I appreciate the simplicity of the reports that surface only the data you need.

Cons

Pardot jargon is different than other tools terms for marketing automation. When something breaks, it's hard to identify and even harder to fix Programatizing emails is harder than it should be. And having to create multiple email templates seems inefficient.

Pros

I've worked with a bunch of CRM platforms for marketing automation and customer communication. When you're using Salesforce it's really important to find the right platform that can sync all the information you need for seamless automation. Pardot, because it's part of Salesforce, has all the capabilities you need!

Cons

I don't think Pardot is super user friendly like other platforms. There's a bit of a learning curb when you want to understand how to use the platform, set up automations, etc.

i really enjoy using Pardot to empower my sales team. i would strongly recommend taking a few courses at the start to make sure that you use and set up your system properly.

Pros

i like how pardot is ready to go the day you buy it. lead scoring is set up to work for your team day one.

Cons

when working with automation rules, everything works retroactively, causing potential problems.
