Pros

To be honest I found Pardot much better before it was acquired by sfdc. It's a full feature marketing automation solution and allows for omnichannel outreaches and follow-ups. Form handlers are great for helping identify duplicates.

Cons

in the quest to build a product that works seamlessly with salesforce, pardot has been made sloppy. The automation campaigns are not the best and need improvement, they are not as smart as the one's on marketo or eloqua. My suggestion is for Pardot to focus on being a top notch market automation instead of a perfectly integrated solution.

Pros

It was great to have the information ready at hand and it was easy to keep in touch with customers based on the information I received.

Cons

The software was cumbersome to use. It required a lot of manual checking of accounts to get the information that I needed.

Pros

It had all the features we'd expect from a marketing automation solution, and had a nice visual interface to work with. Lead scoring capabilities were good as well, along with customization options.

Cons

I found the salesforce integrations clunky and not up to expectations. The promise of an amazing integration given both are now under the salesforce umbrella wasn't the case from my experience, and I found the transition to Hubspot much more powerful.

I love the engagement program it's easy to set up and the reporting features tell me what's working and what's not.

Cons

The customer service hasn't been the best since they removed the chat support feature. Now the only support is via email or open hours.

Lead Deck Pardot's Lead Deck gives you real-time activity updates of prospect's activity. If a prospect visits your services page, you can receive an update on your screen, and send them an email in one-click.

Cons

Not many integrations While Pardot does have native integration with most of the popular CRMs, they only have 32 third-party apps, which is significantly less than other tools, such as Marketo.

Email automation is key for any sales team. With the features and functions in Pardot, the Marketing and Sales team will be on the same page and working together on the same goal, turning a lead into a customer.

Pros

\- Reporting view - Able to see what specific link the prospect clicked on - Ability to %age in real time - Integration with SFDC - Send emails on behalf of specific person and replies go to specific person

Cons

\- Inability get email notifications when a prospect does an action or reaches a lead score - The UI for sales reps in the Pardot section of SFDC. Seems difficult to use the data for action

This product is easy to use. It does automate a lot of marketing leads. It does have a lot of features that we don't use.

Cons

This product is slightly more expensive than other products I have used, but it goes well with our other Salesforce software.

Better than mail chimp for professional businesses, but can be overly complex at times.

Pros

I like that you can create renderings and very interactively build emails.

Cons

It can be very complex to do little tasks, like adding in a photo. Not to mention if you want to change the template, you need to have CSS/HTML background.

Pros

Pardot offers a lot of functionality for a relatively small price tag. Some of it is even free, and for things that you'd often pay quite a bit of money for at other services. There are a lot of integrations with Pardot that make it useful for a wide range of scenarios. Email templates are pretty nice. Form automation is simple to configure and offer a lot of features.

Cons

If you want to do something outside of what the system offers, it's very difficult or impossible (that being said, the system offers a lot of customization options out of the box).

Pros

It's very user friendly, my sales associates do not have to be super technically savvy to use and understand it. As a sales coach, I use Pardot to show my associates the effectiveness of their email campaigns. Some send too many emails, and some don't send enough. By using Pardot in conjunction with a call recording tool, we can evaluate better if they are relying too heavily on email and not using best sales practices.

Cons

I like everything. It's a fantastic tool. There's really not anything I would recommend changing.

Pros

Integration with Salesforce allowed realtime sharing of contacts to create and execute marketing campaigns.

Cons

I thought it was a little pricey. Compared to other products it was higher priced. Part of this is likely due to the pre-built integration with Salesforce.

Soooo many options. Very flexible set of tools lets you adapt Pardot to your end goals. I have been able to use Pardot in several very different scenarios to a high degree of success. (BTW - it's kind of cool how my colleagues throw problems at me and I'm like, "Hmmmm...Pardot has a tool for that...here, let's do this and that and bingo! Success. Done. What else you got?")

Pros

Pardot is user friendly and I really like to new layout. The capabilities and insights it provides for marketing automation is great and allows us to connect with salesforce to see marketing activity and true deal flow.

Cons

I think there are some inefficiencies as it relates to video. You can't set automation rules for videos. While wistia is part of Pardot, I think there could be more flexibility to incorporate video into drop campaigns etc.

Pros

The tool has a lot of capabilities, it's nice that it's a Salesforce product. The drip functionality was just was just upgraded and improved, I think that helped its usability.

Cons

It's very cumbersome and not at all intuitive. I would not recommend this as a first automation tool for teams just dipping their toe into it.

Pros

The product integrated well with Salesforce.

Cons

We tried to use this for social media management. We do not get a preview of how a social media post will look for any of the networks, so in several instances we’ve had to delete a post and then repost it through Hootsuite or the social site directly. Also, @ mentions do not show up on Facebook as they should, only simple @text without the link.

Pros

It's pretty good for people who don't understand more difficult programs for designing. It's pretty basic, but it offers a lot of range from drip campaigns, to landing pages to creating email blasts. If you're just getting into marketing automation this could be the program for you. Since it's owned by Salesforce, switching between the two is pretty seemless.

Cons

Basically the same as the pros. It's basic. If you're looking for a marketing automation program that you have more control over, keep looking.

Integrates well with Salesforce Most functions for email automation are there Customer Service is better than most

Cons

In a multi-business enterprise does not integrate well with preference center. We were unable to track preferences of multiple product categories and businesses with Salesforce. Once a user opted-out to get her back into the system is impossible, must call Pardot for that.
