Pros

Not much, liked the analytics if I have to choose something. It's hard to find something else that I can say in the pros.

Cons

Everything, from the clunkiness to the non intuitive very difficult to do what you want to do. Has not an ounce of intuitiveness with this software. Although there are some useful softwares, it's just not that user friendly.

Pros

Pardot automated the prospect warming process. We've set it up to respond to quotes, alert internal staff and add them to a mailing list. The mailing list is the automated and changes based on their actions. Eg. if they enquire about product A in a week we send a follow up email about product A. If they click a link in the email we send them a second follow up the next day. If they didn't open the email then we send them an email about product B a week later.

Cons

The biggest drawback is Pardot works best with Salesforce. We have salesforce and it's great but for people without salesforce it might be an added expense.

Pros

The ease in compiling already coded html and sending to a distribution list; the testing options, and rendering accuracy.

Cons

The difficulty in creating an email from scratch within the software or editing an email within the software. Editing text is fine, or switching an image, but changing layout is incredible difficult and I wind up copying and pasting the html into an editor like Dreamweaver, adjusting, and then pasting back in which is inefficient.

Pros

Wonderful tracking for leads and creation of drip campaigns. Any company who’s expanding their lead generation efforts and looking to hasten the velocity of closing prospects will definitely find this useful, especially since it is connected to Salesforce.

Cons

Interface and usability needs a lot of improvement. Functionalities for creatives and marketers can become too time-consuming and limiting, especially in terms of customisation of drip emails.

Pros

It's easy enough to set up drip campaigns. I ended up using a third party provider for a CDN for my images.

Cons

Pardot was bought by Salesforce, but the integration of the product with Salesforce is still underway. Some of the integration isn't done yet, or isn't immediately obvious when using the tool. I think overall I still prefer MailChimp, even if using Salesforce.

Pros

There are several features that are really good about this product: - Its tight integration with Salesforce makes it easy to sync contact, accounts and campaigns. Most of the other email marketing tools lack in that capacity. - The general product UX is also really simple and easy to use. - The customer service is awesome. I've never seen such a quick response.

Cons

Although it has tight integration with Salesforce, but I'd very well like it to be part of Salesforce platform so that we don't need to sync data between two systems. And Pardot can directly help market to contacts in Salesforce. Plus I'd like the support for web-hooks as completed action which gives endless possibilities for integrations.

Pros

Easy to use and configure. Great reporting and workflows. Engagement studio is a game changer and will definitely drive results.

Cons

Drilling down on reports isn’t as intuitive as the rest of the tools. When running a campaign, it isn’t as easy as point and click to get to the results. You have to know where to look and go.

Pros

It's extremely powerful. I love how easy it is to populate lists, track reports, websites, emails, etc. We used to have Constant Contact here but glad we switched over to Pardot.

Cons

I'm a graphic designer for a 2 billion dollar company, and the ease of use when it comes to designing can be a struggle at times. It can be glitchy when designing landing pages and emails. For example, when I upload an image and then need to adjust a word or picture on that image and try to replace it, there is an option overwrite over the old one, but it never allows me to, causing us to have to import two images and delete an old one. Kind of a pain. When it's a finished product, our newsletters look much improved compared to Constant Contact, and we overall have a much cleaner look using Pardot but would like to see some more design options and improvements soon.

Pros

Seamless integration with Salesforce. Powerful email and automation capabilities. Easy to use. Awesome support team and certification program. Great for our small but mighty marketing team!

Cons

Since Pardot provides broad enough features that can work for almost any business, sometimes you need to get creative and use multiple features in conjunction with one another to achieve your team's unique, desired outcome. It has a learning curve, but it's ultimately a benefit since it forces you to think strategically about how you use the product.

Pros

Integration with Salesforce. Lead scoring, email deliverability. The nurturing and drip automation features have come a long way over the years.

Cons

Customer service, workflow building UI could be a bit simpler, email editor has a lot of problems, too. It gets rather expensive as you add what should be considered basic features nowadays.

It integrates right into Salesforce. I can send data right to it and from it via Salesforce. Good way to keep up with the Prospects list.

Cons

Not super fluid or easy to use. It works but takes some finagling to get what you want. Seems somewhat limited to me.

\- The tool is feature rich and comprehensive. It is also more useful in terms of features than any other CRMs I've used- Also suitable for smaller businesses like us- Good customisation options

\- Limited free features and the paid is slightly on the premium side - Needs some getting used to for beginners

The tool comes with so many features to help create, track, and optimize marketing campaigns and ROI across the board. Although I didn't get to use it for long (because I left the organization using it), I would say that so far this was my favorite marketing automation system

Cons

It's so expensive! For a startup marketing firm, this tool would be an important part of the marketing fabric but the cost is just not in reach

Pros

It is incredibly robust. My favorite feature is Page Actions, which allow us to keep track of prospects as they move around on our site and act on them when they visit pages that we have deemed most important. I've also found a lot of value in the ability to assign completion actions to certain prospects' actions. It is completely automated and saves us time in the long run.

Cons

It seems like there are still a lot of areas where this product could be improved. For being owned by Salesforce, it seems the integration isn't quite as tight as it could be (eg., it takes up to 24 hours to sync some data between the two). Another pain point is lack of mobile optimized landing pages. We have had to have one of our developers devote his time to building out pages that are mobile optimized since the product currently lacks that feature.

Easy to use, simple enough to learn without prior crm software knowledge. I learnt most of it after about a week or 2. Very user friendly!

Cons

If it could be cheaper I think it would be used more widely. Although i do find this product to be value for money, I would like to see the price drop comparable to other products.

Pros

Integration into Salesforce is the #1-10 reason why you pick this software. It does have most of the functionality of other marketing suites.

Cons

The UI is just not there. It is very clunky and non-intuitive. It just doesn't make sense. When you want to do something, you really need to have the manual next to you. Tools like this need to be easy for everyone. You shouldn't have to hire a tech person just to run your marketing software.

Pros

The marketing automation features are best in class. They allow any larger marketing department to be more efficient and effective. The program is easy enough to use for anyone who has ever done any marketing email or automation and the program can be a great tool.

Cons

Getting customer support has been problematic. My company has issues with email delivery to certain ISPs and we have reached out to Pardot for help on several occasions. We have not received too much help.

Pros

I cannot say enough great things about Pardot. This tool has allowed our small team do the impossible. We are able to communicate to our prospects and clients on their time, with information they are interested in. We are able to easily see what channels are performing and which are not. We can tweak our campaigns on the fly and we tracking our prospects and where they are coming from even with very long sales cycles. The tool took a little bit to understand at first, but once we got the main concept the tool is so super easy to use. Getting help and support has not been difficult and they are very easy to work with. LOVE the SalesForce integration. We couldn't use the tool without it!

Cons

I don't have any complaints. Took awhile to get used to Pardot's meaning of "campaign" but now we have it :)

Overall it is an okay tool with a bit of a learning curve with so many silos to create an email.

Pros

It is a solid email marketing tool with your standard templates, reporting, and some analytic functionality.

Cons

I don't like that there is no way to use data from your list to schedule times that are optimized for opens. I have used other applications with that functionality and makes A/B testing that more useful.
