Pros

If a great lead automation system wasn't good enough as it is, try adding that to a CRM that is pioneering the industry. Pardot packs all the power of the SFDC platform into a lead automation platform.

Cons

The user experience matches Salesforce and can be a little stale. The ability to customize screens and pages with point and click tech would be nice.

Pros

Pardot is awesome for the ability to track and measure the success of email and content campaigns, especially helping with our AB campaigns.

Cons

There's definitely a learning curve for Pardot. While you can search around and eventually find the information/detail you need, if you don't know where to look, you might spend quite some time to find stats.

My company implemented Pardot along with our Salesforce implementation and I've been happy so far. Some things are a little clunky but the new Engagement Studio is an improvement. It's definitely a good option for B2B marketing automation but could use a little bit more flexibility in campaigns and a few other nuances.

Pros

I love the customer support! I'm new to marketing automation but consider myself somewhat tech savvy. With that being said, I occasionally need help in the system. If I can't find my answer in their Knowledge Base (which is great!), I'll chat with their customer support. They are always available when I need help and always answer my questions.

Cons

The way the drop-downs are organized is a bit confusing. If I haven't used the system in a while, and I need to upload a list, as an example, it takes me a minute to remember where to go.

I've worked at companies who run Marketo or Eloqua in the past but helped a client through a recent Pardot implementation for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The best thing it has going for are its deep Salesforce integrations. It has all the enterprise features you'd expect, from effective lead scoring to campaigns with a wide variety of triggers. In closing, my advice, as with all marketing automation tools is to take a good hard look at your strategy and know exactly what you are looking to achieve before you move forward.

Set up was fairly simple, though it took several months. The syncing is seamless, which is wonderful, and there are so many resources to learn how to use all of the many functions of the system. Unfortunately, though we've been able to build elaborate drips and beautiful emails, we found that they often are not actually making it into the inboxes. Our deliverability and response rate have dropped significantly since making the switch

Pardot makes marketing automation easy--their staff is always willing to help, and their onboarding process ensures you have a good understanding of the tools it offers. The Connectors make syncing with Salesforce and other services like GoToWebinar a breeze.

Cons

List uploads are not instantaneous and CRM syncing can take up to a day to complete with large lists of prospects

I self-implemented Pardot which was much harder than I initially thought. But since having Pardot, my professional life has been transformed. Being able to have the drip campaigns running in the background to my prospects, gently reminding them why my business is great has freed up so much time for me. Also the ability to measure everything, from the length of the salecycle to how popular my content is in one easy place has made measuring the ROI so much easier. The only downside of Pardot is that I wish A/B testing was included on the basic version. I'd highly recommend Pardot to anyone considering marketing automation, and the customer support is awesome too.

Pardot is a great tool if you are already using Salesforce since it easily integrates with your Salesforce data.

Pros

Since Pardot is owned by Salesforce it easily integrates all the email and campaign data into your Salesforce account.

Cons

The setup requires a setup process and may require help from a developer who can help set up campaign tracking codes.

Pardot is good in that it is linked to our CRM in Salesforce, but as an email creator it is fairly poor. Compared to products like MailChimp or GoEmail, it is very hard to use and very basic.

Pros

Pardot is obviously linked with an organisation's Salesforce account and records, which makes it easy to track prospects and keep data in one place.

Cons

Email creation via Pardot is very basic. The email creation tools are very limited and are not particularly user-friendly, making it a laborious task to create and send an email.

When I joined SalesLoft, we had Pardot and Salesforce with nothing set up. Tons of inbound leads and no real way to prioritize them. With Pardot, we set up very specific grading rules and different ways of scoring so that when we jump into Salesforce, we can see who our highest priority / hottest leads are. Upon certain prospect activities and actions, we also set up automated Salesforce task creation so as a sales guy, I can live right within Salesforce and gain full visibility and intelligence on our leads. I'm sure we'll start building some drip nurturing campaigns pretty soon to automate the follow up process for the colder / non-responsive leads.

Currently using Pardot. The product itself is ok and does some ok things, but the templates and working with templates is a bit cumbersome. The one very nice thing is that a lot of the previous mailchimp templates I had customized imported seamlessly so that was pretty awesome. Overall though its definitely not near as easy to use as Mailchimp.

Pros

I like the seamless integration of old Mailchimp templates. Scheduling out e-blasts is pretty easy and intuitive.

Cons

The system is clunky and building out custom e-blast templates leaves a lot to be desired. Its actually pretty difficult to integrate some of the features to make your e-blasting more effective and there doesn't seem to be much as far as training to help with that.

Pros

The UI is really elegant and powerful, with continual improvement. The vendor is exceptionally accommodating and helpful, always responsive and very collaborative. Support is structured intelligently, with technical support provided separately from business-best-practices and strategic support.

Cons

I wish Tech Support Chat were available more of the time. It's just so much easier to get a question answered right away, rather than trying to sift through KBs or wait for an email response.

Before Pardot, we were very unhappy with all the other programs we tried. We have successfully been using Pardot since 2012 and love it. I work in it every day and it is so easy to use. We use SalesForce as our CRM and that was the best part about Pardot -- they full integrate with one another!! We use Pardot for email marketing, social automation, drip campaigns, and email reporting which is huge. The reporting allows for us to see which email addresses have hard or soft bounces, and how we can edit our lists to make them more precise. I would highly recommend Pardot over any other product on the market.

Pardot is simple to set up and use. It's great if your marketing and sales team isn't looking for a lot of customizations.

Pros

Simple to set up. Simple to get up and started without a lot of training. It performs well in the areas of email marketing, lead scoring, etc if you don't need a lot of customizations.

Cons

It's not as robust or customizable like Marketo or Eloqua but for a small team that just needs to get emails out, it works well. Their customer support has always been top notch.

Pardot offers an extremely user friendly atmosphere and step-by-step process that makes sending any email a walk in the park. If you can't figure something out, the Pardot Support team is one click away, with a quick and easy online chat and the most friendly staff on the other side to help guide you through!

Cons

Pardot does have some glitches here and there, and it is sometimes difficult to confirm whether our reports and results are 100% accurate.

Now add their terrific customer service and the overall experience is out-of-this world. I have had to reach out on several occasions for assistance. Pardot's support team gets back quickly, and guides you until you have reached your desired result. Also, their "help" area is organized and provides endless answers to touch questions. I can't say enough about this marketing automation tool.
