Very easy to use and the on-boarding process is very simple. The features and functionality are great for those just getting into marketing automation or not running complex programs. The features differ between the various price packages so be sure to check what is important to you example - AB testing, reporting, email rendering. Overall the majority of the features you would need are available in the basic package. Overall easy to use and good value.

We've been using Pardot for about 3 months now. We're still discovering new tricks and features, but we've loved the insights Pardot has provided for us, especially in our e-mail marketing. Any time we have a question, Pardot has a great Help Resource Center, and when we can't find an answer there, the Client Advocate Team responds quickly with tons of great information. Pardot really sees to it that their clients have the tools they need to succeed.

Pardot is a rough tool to use - it's cumbersome and the technical support is not there to assist unless you pay additional money and go through a "preferred partner". I have seen better tools and wish we did not sign up with pardot.

the usability - the tags and folder documentation, the verbiage between campaign and email, the cumbersomeness of the tool.

We just recently implemented sales force and have connected pardot. We haven't yet setup all the field connections or delved into engagement studio yet, but reading up on it is exciting! We are looking forward to connecting everything and getting our old school marketing to the new age! We hope to have all connections and campaigns setup by the end of the year. Looking forward to seeing how this product changes our company!

Pardot has been a great tool for us to use and has helped the business grow. Its lead scoring and email campaign automation functionalities have been very useful to us and the team. It has a friendly UI and is intuitive. The product as such has added some good functionalities recently which brings it up to par with other Marketing automation tools available out there. It syncs with Salesforce seamlessly and the sales reps love the visuals it provides at the detail page level. Their pricing structure is a little difficult to understand.

Pros

I love that it ties directly to Salesforce and that it provides insight into data like we've never had before as an organization. It's amazing when utilized properly how much it can help to qualify and produce leads.

Cons

I do wish that it flowed a little better with Salesforce as I think there are still some kinks being worked out. Additionally, the implementation process of Salesforce and Pardot I felt could have been much more hands-on. I think in person implementation would be much more effective.

It's easy to use and so powerful when integrated with a CRM system.

Cons

We are in the process of changing our CRM over to Salesforce, so at the moment, I feel like there is so much potential to be extracted, but I can't do it just yet. I'm excited to see how powerful this system is once we make the change.

Cons

It takes a couple weeks to get up to speed on this product, but once you are, it is such a great tool!

Great experience with Pardot automation. I like that I can schedule emails, view open and click through rates and even assign completion actions, for example adding people to lists if they open an email or click a link so that I know they may be interested in getting a follow up email.

Pros

It has tons of features and allows you to set completely automate client acquisition, connecting with the Salesforce CRM. Salespersons don't even need to get involved until the prospect is primed and ready.

Cons

It take a LONG time to master this one and the customer service on the product is horrible. You have an account exec that's supposed to be your point of contact and I highly suggest you contact them before calling the outsourced help line.

Great setup and training support. I really enjoy the knowledge center and idea exchange. It's cool to know that they do listen and roll out new features based on users' suggestions.

Cons

Great product if you fear that most of the leads you are generating are not being followed up on properly, go stale over time, or you simply want to keep track of them over time in order to rescuscitate them at the right time in the future. This product essentially fills the void left by traditional sales and merketing products. Note that some companies consider it part of the Sales and some consider it part of Marketing; Salesforce itself has played around with that positioning; however, the most important thing to remember is that it does fill a very important void and more tightly integrates the two products that most companies have (or functions for that matter) but don't always talk to each other. Bottom line: Nurturing and cultivating leads is what Pardot is best at.

positioning is confusing and people get lost in its unique role vis-a-vis sales and marketing cloud products

Pros

The UI makes seemingly complicated things, like drip campaigns, accessible. There is an almost endless variety of rules that allow of incredibly detailed campaigns. Integrations with CRMs and other tools are very easy to set up.

Cons

Many training resources are old and have not been updated for the current UI. Submitting tickets to customer support can be cumbersome and it may take a while to hear back from them
