Email templates in Pardot don't pull over as much as traditionally thought when you plan on using an "email template" in other products. This makes it so we have to redo a lot of the same setup steps for every monthly email we want to send out, even though all we needed to change on the email template was the date.

While my experience with Pardot has been rather short, I have found it to be an incredibly helpful resource to connect the marketing and sales team. Ability to nurture leads with emails, newsletters, etc and have a score to qualify them as ready for the sales team has been a great asset.

Pardot is simple, intuitive, and easy to navigate. Having worked in other email distribution platforms, Pardot is a delight to use. UI is important, but functionality is also vital — Pardot has both. Drip Campaigns, A/B testing, basic open/click metrics, and now the new Engagement Studio are incredible features that not all other platforms have. Engagement Studio opens opportunities for personalized customer journeys in more ways than you can imagine with built-in logic and the flexibility to create rules that make sense for your audience. Also, as usual, SalesForce delivers fun ways to learn and become familiar with their products through their OfficeHours, Knowledgebase, and additional resources. I would recommend Pardot to anyone as their email management platform. I also expect my loyalty to only be strengthened as I become more familiar with the platform.

Cons

Integration with various programs is a bit spotty, such as Outlook and a few others.
