### "There's a lot you can do with Pardot which is great from an insider perspective. "

Overall good concept for management purposes, but the program would close for maintenance and was glitchy a lot.

Pros

I used Pardot to create custom URLs to track performance on social media. It's great for creating custom URLs and storing them and keeping track of data. I also used Pardot for email marketing, which again was great for keeping everything in one place and automating emails.

Cons

The program was very glitchy and would often be down for maintenance a lot. There's also a lot to the program, so you really have to know your way around the system to take full advantage.

Pardot is a very valuable tool for the correctly staffed and sized organization. Maybe overkill for some.

Pros

I liked the ability to create landing pages in Pardot. Having an API to connect leads to our lead database. Email tracking. We used this tool to assist sales for a 100 Million Dollar company as a staff of 5 people.

Cons

We needed to have a web programmer on staff to make the most of this system.

Overall its been a good experience (if you / your client doesnt mind the cost of using it). If choosing to use Pardot, ALL Salesforce CRM licences need to upgraded to the highest cost level (Enterprise), even if its only small teams / individual groups that require the Pardot element. This seems a bit unfair.

Pros

It's a perfect 'marketing output' tool for Salesforce, which has been adapted to natively fit without having to use 3rd party marketplace plugins for marketing output. Pardot has been a gamechanger for outputting Marketing directly from Salesforce.

Cons

It doesnt integrate Social Media management (scheduling, Ads, etc.) - so you still need to use a Social Media tool such as hootsuite. So, while it's the most 'integrated marketing tool' for Salesforce, it's not a complete integrated marketing solution.

The environment we deployed Pardot was a Salesforce client, thus it didn't make sense to use any other 'marketing tool', as it would have meant lots of integration patches / glue.

Pros

Easy to use, intuitive and simply gets the job done! Great dashboard, reporting, user insights. Sometimes it leaves you with a guilt that you know so much about your site visitors and users! lol

Cons

Would be better if it offers custom analytics reports, or way to generate custom reports. But overall very satisfied with pardot. Will definitely recommend it to everyone!

Overall, It's worth it to us to have Pardot and Salesforce linked, even with Pardot's limitations.

Pros

My favorite part about Pardot is the tight integration with Salesforce, which is our CRM. I also like the WYSIWYG email editor that still allows flexibility to edit the html.

Cons

Pardot has weak native reporting, and the Landing page editor is pretty bad. I just use wordpress to create pages.

Our experience is evolving and it's early days, but looking forward to the next 12 months and seeing how hard we can push it

Pros

Great UI and workflows for a fully featured automation product. Easier to get things done than in Marketo. Deep feature list, and very little customisation required for our environment - ideal for B2B complex sales.

Cons

When we had critical issues SFDC support were slow to respond, unhelpful and poorly informed. We had to escalate an issue through our account manager and all the way up to Senior Product Mgmt at head office in order to get a proper issue diagnosis and resolution. Shouldn't be that hard, and known bugs should be well socialised with Level 1 and 2 support.

Pros

Pardot has a lot of good functionality. I liked in particular engagement suite - I liked how easy it is to set up email flows (though it does require some serious working knowledge of the platform before you're able to do it efficiently). I also appreciate how simple it is to create lists - certainly much easier and more efficient than other ESPs I have used.

Cons

The interface is not exactly intuitive, there's a pretty steep learning curve if you've never used the product before. You also really do need a working knowledge of Salesforce in general to use this product effectively. A final complaint is that the segmentation logic can be limiting in its simplicity.

Pardot is pretty great! When going from no automation to Pardot, things get pretty streamlined and the marketing team is able to get so much more done in much less time.

Pros

This product is super easy to use. It was the first markeitng automation software I learned how to use and it was pretty easy from day one. The team was extremely helpful in getting it set up and teaching us all the features.

Cons

There are a few features missing that markeitng automation vendors like Marketo and HubSpot have but overall they are a great company to work with

I had utilized Pardot in an administrator position, and I really enjoyed using the platform. The system was easy to maintain, and they are making continuing improvements to it as time goes on.

Pros

Pardot is extremely easy to use and navigate through. It's pretty intuitive and the user interface is mostly appealing. It's native integration with Salesforce is also a huge plus.

Cons

The Engagement Studio is great, however, it is lacking more of the intricacies (specifically around flow logic) that other marketing automation platforms allow for.

Cons

It really is a full-time job to manage the system and take advantage of all the features. If people are using it that aren’t super tech savvy, things like emails are cumbersome in the system.

We have enjoyed a centralized and more integration-friendly marketing automation platform.

Pros

Pardot is the most integration-friendly marketing software to use with Salesforce's Sales Cloud. We are able to use custom objects in our segmentation.

Cons

Pardot doesn't have advanced automation like process builder or flow in Sales Cloud. Other than engagement programs, automation is not a key aspect of the software.

Pardot's just great overall, every tool has a grace period of learning and individualizing the use - you can't always read a KB article and have things humming, you have to hit the dirt face first a few times, show some humility, not break the law and find your fit with how you use it most effectively.

Pros

Once you understand the areas of Pardot and how affective they are throughout the areas of your marketing efforts and establish a synergy it's a great tool that's used frequently to solve and offload processes from other, potentially costly systems.

Cons

My con is a con that anyone would have, it's a different UI, capabilities are different in some contexts, and it really just takes a matter of time to feel it out and get comfortable with. If time is that bad of a con, than we'd all have a bad wrap. I do with their integrations were a bit long but with most things going to Salesforce and Pardot having a bond with it, we can solve things through that channel.

Pros

I like how the connection with Salesforce works; I have all my Salesforce leads and campaigns in Pardot so there is little to no need to export or import anything. I also like the Engagement Studio - it is a pretty visual and simple way to set up marketing automation.

Cons

The interface is sometimes unnecessarily complex; the social sharing feature could be improved - especially when a social network changes something, it takes a while to appear on Pardot.

I have used Pardot while using Salesforce.com and had an active sales team at my organization. I feel this tool is better utilized by agencies or organizations that have a dedicated sales team. There is just so much the tool does as a whole which a smaller business would not find useful.

Pros

The in-depth integrations across teams and features available for teams to streamline communications.

Cons

The time it takes to learn the tool. It has a long learning curve to equip yourself with enough knowledge about how to use it.

Invest a decent measure of time and energy in learning the tool as this has such a large amount of inbuilt ability you can use as opposed to maintaining some other parallel business process.

Pros

To date, SF Pardot was one of the easiest tools to configure so smoothly. I could start the sync process in less than few hours. The breadth of automation service are huge and no doubt why this product is making so much of positive noise. The tool allows you to finish the process and keep all participants in loop .The tagging option is my fav. Beginning from messages, pages and different segments you can tag and club in to single element. The second best thing is the match up ability with deals compel truly I sensed that its a no brainier.

Cons

The expansiveness of administration gave through APIS are not a ton I figure they will expand what will assist different applications with integrating effectively. I think there is a great deal of enhancement required in the reporting side too.

Overall we are able to utilize Pardot in a huge way to expand and target our email marketing capabilities. There is just enough reporting to ensure there is room for optimization analysis but it has room to grow.

Pros

It has some really powerful capabilities that can extend your typical email marketing efforts to extraordinary email campaigns.

Cons

The reporting and analysis component is not easy to pick up and in some cases not flexible enough to give valid reporting capabilities.

Pardot makes it incredibly easy to create emails, landing pages, vanity URLs, and drip campaigns without any HTML experience necessary.

Cons

The reporting is a little basic and lacks flexibility, so you're better off exporting the data to MS Excel and manipulating it there.

Exceptional, but also it was a process to get where I wanted to get.

Pros

It has an amazing lead scoring and grading aspect It is easy to deploy and set up. It has almost every possible feature needed for a marketing team

Cons

Really difficult to design emails or landing pages there. You need to understand HTML and CSS. Really complex to learn how to use. I had to get certified and pay $200.

They offer little support. Their functionality and ease of use is challenging. You can find better CRM products for your marketing efforts, like Hubspot and Marketo.

Pros

The engagement studio feature makes it easy to build campaigns.

Cons

The ease of use is challenging. You have to open several tabs just to keep one campaign organized with all the different items you need to build in Pardot at the same time -- so they are connected when you launch. The reporting and campaign functionality is not stellar. Marketo and Hubspot offer better tools, and limit our marketing. For emails, you'll need a code developer to help build out templates and such. It's not like MailChimp.

It's frustrating. I am wasting at least 5 hours a week because either something doesn't work or the functionality is simply not there and I need to think about the workaround.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. Witch each capability there was a moment it didn't work properly. It doesn't even sync quickly with Salesforce - it's own product.

Cons

Starting from building the lists, ending on building the emails. The limitations didn't allow me to build the list based for example on people that clicked a specific email, didn't receive any email etc..No visibility to who will receive the email before the blast.

The product is functionally rich, and geared for teams that want to create a mass marketing process based on a solid platform. But functionally rich also means there are some things that are not THAT intuitive, some options are hard to find, and some UI/UX should be re-thought. But overall, the product does the job and it does it well.

Pros

Strong platform for all marketing related stuff Easy to create landing pages and mail templates The analytics available for launched campaigns, etc. The connection and synchronisation with Salesforce

Cons

The integration with Salesforce is not 100% complete (and will never be?) The UI is perfectible, and can be frustrating at some points (for example, when you edit a landing page, if you try to save and for some reason you are disconnected from internet at this moment, every you did is lost when you try to go back in your browser history) As it is Pardot sending mails for you, you are entitled to respect bounces quota etc, which can be tedious with mass marketing processes. It costs a lot of money (yeah).
