Pros

The user interface is fairly straightforward for my needs as a user administrator, I can quickly add/remove users to the system and am able to clearly see what's going on.

Cons

As a user management administrator for our instance, I feel that I have 'too much access' to all areas of the tool, rather than having a limited view.

Pros

I like that you can customise your marketing/email campaign to as intricate or simple as you would like. Targets ads and lead nurturing has been amazing.

Cons

At times it lags when you are looking to send a test email. I am still trying to discover if it's just my internet speeds or if the sample email is too heavy.

Pros

Pardot is very easy to use. From setting up automation rules and completion actions to creating emails, I think every feature is simple and straightforward, and still allows you a lot of functionality.

Cons

The worst part of Pardot is the reporting and the connection with Salesforce. There is no simple way to sync Pardot reports to Salesforce. You either need to manually import data from one place to the other (which isn't real time, of course) or you have to setup campaigns in Salesforce, and send information from Pardot that way; then, create reports in Salesforce from those campaigns. However, I've heard the Fall 2018 update will address this issue.

Pros

Pardot make it easy to send/automate emails to those Contacts that reside in Salesforce. In addition, they are always adding more features to increase the usability.

Cons

Unfortunately, Pardot's method for organizing templates, list, campaign and so on is not ideal for me. I rather have my list, campaigns,etc.. broken down by a folder structure instead of one big list. There is an folder structure in place but it's a separate navigation link from the main Marketing object options. This is also prevalent when adding prospects to a list. Deleting campaings can be problematic in my experience. You can't delete a campaign without first deleting the list and email template associated with the campaign. Drip campaigns are not included in the marketing calendar. We do a lot of drip campaigns and this would be useful for user to see when the email is scheduled to go out.

Pros

The integration with Salesforce is its best feature, and my sales team has really enjoyed the real-time updates provided by LeadDeck so they can strike while the iron is hot.

Cons

Don't try to implement Pardot without an expert or agency. Customer services isn't great and the set up process wasn't intuitive. You'll also want to get someone to cutom design landing pages and emails, because the out-of-the-box templates aren't great, and really difficult to edit if you're not a developer.

Pros

I really enjoy creating engagement email cadences with dynamic content. In my case, I use it to send the same message in different languages.

Cons

I would like to have more tools to create the design of emails without needing HTML.

Pardot is overpriced, but it will get the job done. Even after getting the product at a significant discount, I still feel like the product was overpriced. There are much cheaper marketing automation options out there that match Pardot's features and functionality.

Overall Pardot has strong customer support, and can customize to easily fit the needs of your business/company.

Pros

Pardot is great for email drip campaign automation and is great for setting up forms and landing pages. It's also great for email reporting.

Cons

The reporting layouts aren't customizable. Pardot is kind of pricey as well. There are other cheaper options out there.

Overall, I would not recommend Pardot. I don't think it's very user-friendly and the set up for lead tracking and integrations with other platforms/tools is very challenging.

Pros

I liked parts of the organization aspects of Pardot. For example, you can create campaigns and then link any contact lists, emails, etc. to that campaign so it all shows up in one place.

Cons

I've found that Pardot is pretty challenging to use because it's not very user intuitive. I have mostly used it for creating follow-up email campaigns and tracking lead generation campaigns. Email campaign setup takes forever because there are several steps you have to take before creating the email. The email setup is also not user intuitive at all (ex: you have to go into the coding script in order to add in preview text). Tracking lead sources is also challenging because it doesn't refer back to the page first seen; therefore, you can't tell where leads are coming from unless you have additional tracking measures/tools set up.

Pardot has been AWESOMELY better than Marketo. Really, my only problems are that the Automation Rules aren't as flexible as smart campaigns in Marketo (and they're limited - No If this, then that, but If this other thing, than have a different action). Additionally, the chat support is almost never on. Other than that, it's a marked improvement over Marketo - much more intuitive and user friendly.

Pros

Creation of any asset is really easy - simple WYSIWYG editor

Cons

Chat is rarely online limited functionality (and a limit of) with automation rules

If you’re using Salesforce as a CRM, Pardot is a fantastic and seamless solution. I love the integration and ease of using them together.

Cons

It’s a little complicated to learn and support can literally cost you. You also need to invest time to learn the ins and outs. It’s not totally intuitive.

Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed using this product and would recommend it to any business looking for a savvy inbound marketing strategy!

Pros

Ease of use, intuitive design, excellent (and abundant) reporting features, several tiers of customer support and a thorough knowledge base, communicates incredibly well with Salesforce (naturally) and is chock-full of helpful and user-friendly templates and creation wizards that make each element flow unto each other, all with a set of very prudent organizational tools!

Cons

I really don't have much to say in the way of cons - it was a learning curve getting started, but coming from a rather mundane marketing background with little experience in such a complicated software, it was honestly relatively easy to pick up, particularly when partnered with an implementation expert!

True WYSIWYG interface for html emails. Excellent integration with social media and email marketing. Great for scheduling out Social Media in advance, analytics and reporting function are great.

Cons

Haven't quite figured out how to bulk upload several social media posts at once. When building html emails, when selecting an image to use, it does not show a thumbnail, I either have to remember the name or use trial and error.

Pros

It is a very robust tool that has been able to do accommodate everything we've asked of it. I like that if the functionality of a certain part of the tool can't exactly do what I need it to, there are work-around ways and other functionalities that can be creatively configured or strung together to achieve my goals. I really like the way the drip campaign logic is laid out. Very easy and intuitive. The email editor is also very easy to use. I like that there's always something new to learn. I've been using the tool for almost a year and I'm still finding new functionalities to use.

Cons

It had somewhat of a high learning curve when you first start. But I think that's the case with Marketing Automation platforms in general. I still don't fully understand how to generate value from certain reports.
