Pros

1\] Really easy to use lead generation tool when working with Salesforce 2\] We can send a different email to the different user. That's a really cool feature.

Cons

1\] Its quite expensive. But if we understood and use its power so it would be cheaper then. 2\] There should have product demo video easily available on site, should not have a need for registration.

It is nearly impossible to get help. They do however have group calls where you can bring you issue and they will try to solve it. You end up waiting for others to solve their problems too.

Pros

A lot of functionality offered and some really cool features. Love the ability to look at your email on various devices. The tracking features are great too. There are tons of templates to get you started.

Cons

The steps to create a campaign are just not obvious and once you do create a campaign, execution is not obvious either. The template edit feature is really inane. You have to click on the left to edit on the right. Really dumb. Scheduling is not easy either. Support is so bad!

\- Abundance of features - Easy to customize to fit your needs - Super scalable - Integrates well with nearly every software and platform out there - Backed by the huge brand of Salesforce

Cons

\- Very difficult to learn - UX/UI nowhere near as good as competitors like HubSpot (though if you're used to Salesforce, you might be at home) - Submitting a help ticket is a huge pain

Pros

I like that it's easy to track the data behind reports. For instance, the email data reports are very valuable for me to analyze trends and best practices.

Cons

I do NOT like the email builder within pardot. It's super complicated to build a good looking email and we frequently have to using CSS coding to make changes to the templates.

Overall, I have used a few email campaign management systems and pardot seems to be the easiest as it allows us to integrate with salesforce. It also provides basic, but useful reports on analytics ect.

Pros

It is linked to Salesforce so managing contacts to have on email lists and to track it easy!

Cons

At times ( and this may be our internal firewalls causing issues) Pardot will not let you view changes or save changes that you made to an email draft. It is like you ad a picture or reformat the text, save it, do a test send and the changes aren't there. You can save the email, sign out of Pardot, and still not see changes later on. Also sometimes images do not load, making hard to see where you are inserting the image etc.

Pardot has amazing features! Their classes at their learning locations are very informative if you are going to be using it on a daily basis. Great and dependable system for sure!

Cons

The only thing that is kind of a hold back is that they are highly regulated on what content goes out to who so it may take a while to get campaigns through depending on how you do it.

Our company just got salesforce, we arent even using it yet but so far it seems to be the right choice. As a developer, i really like the objects and the ability to easily create relationships between the objects and data. SharePoint does not provide that functionality.

Cons

I don't find Pardot to be intuitive... AT ALL. If you don't have an expert on Pardot readily available you're going to be in the dark trying to figure out where to go.

We were already using Exact Target and SalesForce. Adding Pardot to our suite of tools has really elevated what we can do for our B2B marketing. After the initial learning curve (plenty of vendors to help with training if needed) once we got up and running this has freed up so much time to focus on other areas but it has also GREATLY increased our leads, the value of our leads and our conversion rates. The tools is pretty easy to use one you get the lay of the land!

Pros

All of the functionality. The flexibility and the ease of use (once you have been trained)

Cons

It took us a bit to get trained on the tool, they way they use terminology and how they have things set up are very different than what most tools utilize. But once you understand the lay of the land it is super easy to use and set up.

The learning curve is substantial! Do not expect to log in and get going - you’ll want a significant amount of time set aside to study.

Cons

As with many sophisticated products, newer functionality came come as foreign to new users so some training may be needed for use.

We had rolled out Pardot but then decided to go with Marketo. Pardot was not scaling well as our lead database grew. Till the time we did not have such high volumes the tool was working really well for us. But within a few months, things started to fall apart for us unfortunately. As you may know that Salesforce has taken over it. I believe it has now improved tremendously so please do check where they are at this point. At the time we used it, it was there.

Great UI Easy to configure Easy to manage Lead Scoring Salesforce sync

Cons

Doesnt do well with large volumes of data
