### "Good software, but takes time to get used to"

We started using Joblogic a few months ago and it covers a lot of ground. Job scheduling, maintenance management and time tracking are all handled in one place, which is really convenient. The first few weeks were a bit rough. There is a lot to learn and it is not always obvious how things connect. But once you get past that, the software does what it promises. It has helped us stay more organised and on top of ongoing jobs. For the price, it is a fair tool for any team that deals with field service or maintenance work regularly.

Pros

We have been using Joblogic for a few months now and it has brought everything under one roof. Job scheduling, maintenance tracking and time logging are all in one place, which saves a lot of back and forth. Once you get comfortable with how it works, it is genuinely useful for day to day operations. The value for money is decent too, especially for a team that needs to manage jobs and track time regularly.

Cons

The learning curve is quite steep at the start. It takes a while to figure out where everything is and how the different parts connect. New users will likely need some time before they feel confident using it properly. A more guided setup or better onboarding would make a big difference for anyone coming in fresh.

My overall experience with Joblogic is neutral. As a user, i liked it being simple, however issues with picture uploads and program crashing resulting in lots of time wasted, adds to the negative side of experience. As a result, our new company management decided to switch to a different software for our daily job logging and reporting.

Pros

It is great that this software is set up in a very user friendly way. It was easy to start using it, as it was functioning in a simple and easy way. There was no need to look through user manuals.

Cons

The most problematic thing was very slow picture upload. It was taking ages to upload images, especially if wifi signal wasn't very srong. To get images uploaded using mobile data was close to impossible. Another frustrating thing was program crashing and loosing all the entered details on the report. Entering all the details repeatedly can waste quite a lot of time.

### "Absolutely Frustrating Experience – Avoid This Company at All Costs"

Our experience with this system has been nothing short of a nightmare. We were sold a platform that was supposedly "perfect" for our pest control business, with promises that it would handle all our operational needs. What we got instead was a clunky, confusing interface that's nearly impossible to navigate, and a support team that clearly doesn’t understand their own product. We’ve spent countless hours—literally days—trying to get the system to perform basic tasks we were explicitly told it could handle. After finally reaching out for help, we were met with vague, unhelpful responses that showed the customer service team either didn’t understand our questions or simply didn’t care. Even worse, once it became clear the system couldn't do what we needed, they refused to offer a refund which is over £1000 The software is unusable for our business, and the time and money we’ve lost is incredibly frustrating. Do yourself a favor and steer well clear of this company. They overpromise, underdeliver, and wash their hands of any responsibility when their system fails to perform.

### "Misleading sales team, expensive and not up to the task."

We signed up with Joblogic based on a sales demonstration that clearly led us to believe the system could manage CIS internally. At no point were we told that core CIS functions would rely entirely on external accounting software like Xero—software we do not have access to. Once we discovered this post-purchase, we immediately raised concerns, but after nearly a month of back-and-forth, Joblogic failed to offer a workable solution. To make matters worse, features that were presented as standard—such as automated email reminders—turned out to be hidden behind extra-cost “Marketplace” add-ons, which was never disclosed during onboarding or sales. Despite our clear communication and good faith attempts to resolve the issue, Joblogic refused to cancel the agreement or offer a refund, even though the system provided zero usable value to our business. We had no choice but to cancel the direct debit and begin preparing legal action. I would strongly caution other businesses to get everything in writing before signing, and to be wary of vague promises made during the demo process.

Pros

On the sales demon we liked what we were sold, but it turned out it was nothing like that.

Cons

Complicated software, lacking basic functionalities, have to pay extra for features that other software have on default.

The scheduling and dispatch features are pretty solid. It's easy to see where everyone is and assign new jobs quickly, which saves us a ton of time daily. Our field techs really like the mobile app for updating job statuses and adding notes right from the site.

Cons

The reporting module took a bit to figure out, it's not super intuitive at first glance. Building custom reports can be kind of annoying, and I often have to export data to Excel to get what I really need. Not a huge deal, but could be smoother.

We joined JL back in 2016 and started with the old desktop version. Going from what we were using to JL was a big step for us with a trip up to Birmingham for some training. It was essential that we could import existing customer records from our old system to JL and we received a great deal of support from JL during this setup period. Since migrating from desktop to cloud version we have had on site training which was great and saved us the expense and time of travelling from Cornwall to Birmingham. Everybody we have dealt with at JL since we joined have been great and always very helpful. I think sometimes when a company like JL expands very quickly they can forget about the smaller companies like us but it has never felt this way for us, I really cant imagine a day when we look to move away from JL.

Pros

Too many pros to list here! The most useful thing has to be the way the calendar/diary and allocation of jobs to engineers works but also the invoicing module which integrates with Xero effortlessly.

Cons

Not being able to upload a large batch of new customer site addresses ourselves. We can add individual new sites but when working with large new developments like we do, which can be made up of 100's of properties a batch import is essential. The work around is that we have to send the completed template to JL and ask that they upload the bath of sites for us which can take a few days to be done. We were able to batch import sites ourselves on the old desktop version so it seems a bit of a step backwards that we cant do this on the current version.

It never takes long for them to understand the typical user requirements for our business and either explain the solution within the software or are happy to put our ideas forward for future development of the software.

Having run jobs for a team of around 50 engineers of various trades through joblogic for nearly 5 months I can confidently say Joblogic does the job for us!For an off the shelf solution Joblogic already offers a lot of functionality, a very intuitive user interface, flexibility in use of parameters and settings and all the job management tools you need on a daily basis.The team behind this software solution is clearly focused on developing the software with benefits to the user in mind. They are very open to suggestions and recommendations.Special word to the Squad Almighty who are my to go to team for support within Joblogic. It never takes long for them to understand the typical user requirements for our business and either explain the solution within the software or are happy to put our ideas forward for future development of the software.Is there anything not working for us? Well, it does not actually does our actual job for us....

Cons

The stock features of Joblogic are very basic. Joblogic management has shown an interest in our ideas and we look forward to how this (relatively new) module will develop. Hopefully with our input.

### "First class customer service!"

We have been operating for 50 years, and all our systems and records have until very recently been paper-based. This has created various bottlenecks that have been damaging in terms of efficiency and responsiveness to customer requirements. I have embarked upon a root and branch upgrade of our business processes, hardware, software, training and recruitment and part of this has been sourcing a CRM/Job Management System that will allow us to refine our processes across all our activities and improve efficiency. We've started using Joblogic only recently but have rolled it out across the company already because the staff and management have picked it up so quickly. We have already noted significant improvements in our responsiveness to customers. All our office staff now have instant information to hand, instant updates from field engineers and can provide answers immediately over the phone despite not even necessarily having known a job was being undertaken. We aim to use Joblogic to the full, from creating quotes to purchase orders, to completing jobs and linking all the end result into our accounts software.

Pros

The software is easy to use, and the interface uses plain English text. The menu structure is excellent and intuitive. The manuals get you off the ground quickly by focusing on the most used elements, and are backed up by great videos and an extremely helpful, proactive and supportive 'on-boarding' team that are available through the live Chat service, by phone or email. I've used the chat system extensively as I've needed to ramp up the project quickly in all areas of the business in order to move from the paper-based system to this one without having the two running parallel for too long. The team at Joblogic have helped us every step of the way so far with rapid support, great work on the back-end and a great ear for our needs.

Cons

The software and therefore our data is web-based. It's a risk for us to put all our work, notes, client files and potentially years of data somewhere other than on our offices. In an ideal world we'd have the software installed locally on our computers and our data files local too. Having said this, I raised my concerns with Joblogic and they told me how to export our data, which at a push could then be re-imported into another software developer's package if the worst happened with Joblogic.

### "Great CRM and core business system"

When we looked at the initial implementation of the system we were allocated our own project manager from Protean, to understand our business functions and agree the data to be migrated from existing system and the configuration requirements for Protean to provide the functions and more for the day-to-day tasks of our business. Once implementation complete, they have a Support team on had to assist and a technical team for escalations to be made to. They are always open to improvement ideas for potention future development into the system. There is a comprehensive reporting database and a specalist team on hand to provide bespoke reports if needed.

Pros

The data flows and links throughout the entire system, CRM, job management, equipment records, regular servicing schedules, stock control, purchase and sales invoicing and ultimately integrates the financial aspects with Sage 50 Accounts

Cons

Any areas identified for improvement or change are passed to the developent team to be considered for future updates

### "Protean - Solid, reliable & dependable after 6 years of using it"

We supply and service commercial and industrial cleaning machines and we use Protean for: Job management Stock management Order management, Machine fleet management, Maintenance contract management Hire contract management The job and stock management modules have absolutely transformed our business. It has automated so many processes within our company, helping us provide a better service to our clients and improve operational efficiencies

Pros

\- The engineer interface is simple and straight forward to use which was one of the key reasons we went with Protean. - The ability to bulk import and amend data was very important to us and Protean handles this very well. - Technical support is very good, they seem to have an efficient team there. - The client portal is particularly useful, clients being able to log in online to get live updates on jobs. - Automatic job reports being sent to our clients on job completion are very well received, also saving us a great deal of time needing to provide those update. - History of clients, jobs, parts fitted, etc is easily accessible -The most important feature for us is how reliable the software has been. Protean has been really solid for us with zero downtime in almost 6 years! The data always add up too which is of course vital.

Cons

It could do with some additional user access rights options, being able to restrict certain users from amending parts of the system. I understand this is currently being developed. We also don't use the CRM side of the software as this didn't match our needs, granted this was a number of years ago so it may have been updated.
