Pros: The customer support for Hippo is as great as I could ask for. Questions are answered usually within hours if not minutes! Changes are made promptly as well. It is easy to figure out and use. I haven't even begun to use all of its features!

Cons: I wish there was a way to attach electronic files to the patient files and it would be nice to send messages to the clients right from the program. Having it save automatically would be nice too, but I have learned to do that fairly quickly!

So far it has been a good experience. Customer support is great.

Pros: easy to use. Attaching our medical letters in Hippo is much easier than our past software. I like the email ability for invoices and estimates.

Cons: We are a specialty clinic so we need more flexibility. I have already spoken to customer support regarding expanding on estimate note space and the ability to have a separate sections to put all our referring veterinarians in.

Overall: It is very easy to set up a client in Hippo. Even the doctor can do it! Recording notes and attaching files is super easy as well. The benefit is that its fast to accomplish these things. Less steps than our other software.

Working with the customer service reps has been wonderful. They have addressed my needs.

Pros: Ease of use on the road. As a mobile vet it gives me all of the important features that I need. Managing reminders, attaching previous records to the patient. Having a patient view to view allergies, vaccines, visits. The scheduler can be customized to how long a visit will be from 15 minute increments to 60 minute increments plus. Having a very receptive support team to help trouble shoot problems. My contact was always willing to help not only though email but also conference calls to see where we were struggling.

Cons: As will all software packages there is always room for improvement. I would like to be able to print one sheet of vaccine and preventative care reminders (useful for boarding facilities and groomers), it can be a little slow to load in sometimes, entering item kits is not intuitive but a great idea for items that can have multiple reminders such as the vaccines. The mobile interface with my phone needs improvement. Documents do not automatically open, they have to be downloaded to the device you are working on.

Overall: I was able to hit the ground running with this software with my new mobile practice. There was some initial set up that took time, but overall it was very easy to implement. There are always links to iron out and I am still learning, but overall it is a good product for what I need.

Pros: Ummmm, let's see......the receipts are pretty when they print. That's about it. I really don't think this was made for the veterinary field.

Cons: Very confusing, can't do simple things like delete deceased pets, or pets the owner no longer has. There is no way to print patient labels. I still don't know how to read the schedule, make an appt, or even check to see how busy we will be that day. I feel like our clients are not getting the service that they deserve because the computer system takes so long to understand. I know we've only had for 1 month, but this is rediculous. I would rather use the old system we had, and it had problems, but not like this. This is simply not a vet friendly system.

Overall: None, there is no way this was made for vet offices.

Cons: Too many steps, inaccurate accounting, little to no timely tech support to name a few.
Fine, more words. There is not a day that goes by that there is not some problem that causes is strife. When we call for help they will "always get back to us". Still waiting.

Overall: My boss can now access the schedule with his phone. Seriously that is it.

Pros: Truly paperless, ease of access - I've written records from my tablet while getting an oil change. Value.

Cons: I would like it to be a little more streamlined switching from patient to patient. I have an large exotics caseload and I can't enter all the species I need.

Good product that will continue to get improve.

Overall: Our clinic is in the second month of using Hippo manager and so far we are pleased with the program. We are a high volume mixed animal practice that is 90% walk-in based, so our needs are different than most other clinics. We are very impressed with the support that Hippo offers and the ability to customize the program for our needs. The company even sent someone to our practice to observe how we work, so that they can better customize the software for us. Customer support takes all suggestions seriously and is continually trying to improve their product. Overall this is a great program to have.

Cons: Invoices are not also mailed to me, just to the client.

Overall: I have a mobile equine practice where it is very important to have a software package that works easily and quickly. Hippo Manager has proven to to meet and even exceed my needs for delivering top quality care at the farm. The screens are intuitive and easy to get through. Having the main patient screen being the center of the program allows you to access everything you would ever need about that patient without having to search around. Also, I like that Hippo Manager is a cloud based system. It has allowed me to either use a computer to run the program on the farm, or even my cell phone. (the screen is small but it still works great). Overall, I would highly recommend Hippo Manager software to any mobile veterinarian.

Overall: This software is exactly what we needed at a great price. It can grow with us which is great feature! We love how easy it is to use and customize. The tech support has been awesome and fast! We love it!

Recommendations to other buyers: Would like to lock down a few features so only office admin can get to it.

Comments: We are a startup practice and chose Hippo based on it's overall ease of use and the fact that it was cloud based. It is extremely user friendly, and I love charting with this software. The customer service is outstanding, Sam is always there to answer questions and come up with quick fixes when needed.

Comments: Pros: EHR, Scheduling and billing all rolled into one easy-to-use package. Uploading pictures, scans, etc. is simple. Incredible customer service and responsiveness.

Cons: Not integrated to financial software (like Quickbooks) but neither were any of the other solutions that we evaluated.

Comments: We just got started with HippoManager a month ago at our formerly paper-record office. We love the ease-of-use and functionality, with custom loading pages for each user. The scheduler is nicely laid-out and robust, with color-coding for easy viewing. We are inputting our shipments for live inventory tracking, which syncs with the invoice creation and POS system. Merging our old data has been easy with Hippo's document upload feature, which lets use scan our old papers in each time a patient is seen, making the transition occur over time for active patients.

Best of all, when we've had issues, Sam and his team are there to help us so quickly! We highly recommend Hippo Manager to any size clinic looking to organize.
