Pros This software was exactly what was needed for my situation - I had a bunch of pages I wanted to make more than just a pdf, but something very close to a physical reading/browsing experience for my sales catalog. I particularly like the concept of the "bookcase" that enables an author to present his books as a shelf from which buyers can select any book, preview it and effect purchase if interested. Cons The help documentation should be significantly improved to enable better appreciation of all its features and maximumization of its functionalities. I always have the feeling that the software is able to do more than I am aware of but the help documentation is not very 'helpful.' So for an author it is frustrating because 1person could buy a copy and send that email to 100s of people. Maybe you should make an expiring link. Pros Flip PDF gives customers a pleasing online display on which to read magazines. It's easy to upload the PDF to FLIP PDF and seconds later, "turn" the pages of the online magazine. Cons I do sometimes get confused as to what mode to upload in or if that means that same as "publish online." Pros I publish our publications to the online bookcase so that readers have an alternative to the .pdf files which we publish on the website. This option also provides redundant publication protection. The software is straight forward and easy to use. Cons What I like least about this software has nothing to do with the software. Since we could only have a few people, I wanted something that people could view online. I purchased the product in the hopes of being able to use it for my business but the experience was so horrible that I don’t think I will be able to use it as I intended. Pros The features that were useful: Being able to create and save a gallery, upload PDFs, edit verbiage Cons Least: Not user-friendly at all, hard to find editing features, purchased app was markedly different from the trial app. The templates were different, more plain. Pros Easy to use once you play around with it. Works for mac users, which is nice. Creates quite a beautiful e-book that can be uploaded as its own contained file for the internet. No online subscription necessary. Cons I had a little trouble figuring out how to get my logo to appear properly but I got there. This makes it easier for them to see any updates I make to the file on the classroom website. Pros It easily integrates with the Joomla web system, which I use for my classroom website. It also has a lot of configurations to customize the e-book the way I want. Cons I do not really like that this software can only be installed on two computers. Because I am a lecturer I have several devices in which I will need to use the software. I wish there is a web interface so users can deactivate the software in a device and activate the software on another device.
