Deputy Chief Law Enforcement Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Communication enhancing tool" May 26, 2021 5.0 ScheduleAnywhere has been an incredible addition to our agency. We were getting complaints about communication between sections and changes to printed schedules that no one knew about. this program has greatly diminished the complaints. The availability to have notifications go out to affected officers and not every employee is great. We use the messaging function constantly. Pros The availability to review or modify the schedule at anytime is worth the cost. Schedule change notifications to the affected officers keeps them informed without having to post multiple versions of a schedule. The messaging function is an effective way to communicate with a single employee, a specific department, or the entire agency. Cons Tracking changes may be helpful for an administrator. Once the change has been posted to the schedule there is a note that states who made the change, if you know it was a change and place your cursor over it. The officer whose schedule was changed will be notified, but if a supervisor makes a change and fails to post it and I post the modified schedule, unless it was my schedule that changed and I received the notification, I have no idea what changes were made or by whom. I wish it would speak with Google calendar and other scheduling programs. Pros We have several different shifts and units. Schedule Anywhere allows us to view yearly schedules for our essential employees. Cons It can be difficult to use at times. The mobile version needs to be improved. Cons We have a large department of approximately 200 employees, and when balancing a schedule it would have been nice to see the coverage watch in every section of the schedule, so if that could always be at the bottom part of the screen even if you are at the top of the schedule, or middle or bottom. I love being able to get into the schedule anywhere I am at. Cons I wish there was an easier way to put on extra shifts for employees to be able to see and pick up. March 12, 2018 4.0 Please, add a way for time accrued/time requests off auditing (so employees know their leave balances and cannot put in for time off past their accrued current accrual balances). Pros Employees can view personal schedule in several length variations; ability to see availability of open vacation slots. Cons Schedule Anywhere needs an accrual (vacation, compensation time, sick etc.) self-audit capacity; because Schedule Anywhere lacks this capacity, our facility has DOWNGRADED to a 1990's scheduling software program that really lacks clarity and efficiency. A simple email to the sales representative is usually all it takes if I have quewstions. Super responsive and walks me through any issues I'm having. Pros It's very customizable to your needs. If the scheduling format needs to be changed, it's very easy to do. Also, customer service is great. Cons I wouldn't say I like least about the overall software, but the features did take some getting used to. However, once I learned how to do everything and was walked through it by your staff, it's very easy to do now. Never had an issue knowing who was on night shift or on call. Cons On the administrative side, it didn't alert users if their schedule was changed unknowingly. Our schedules change daily and this was very time consuming. By using the schedule anywhere it has allowed us to cut down on the time spent updating schedules. We post our schedules 5 weeks in advance and this makes it very easy to update and select weeks we want to post. I love the messaging option. In the past we would copy the Excel and email to each staff member as changes occurred. Now they can get updates on their cell phones and email which is a great time saver. It also allows our per diems to submit their schedule requests here rather than submitting a form for approval. We will be using this for our flu clinic program for the first time this year. We have about 100 staff who are moved around daily and sometimes hourly and was again done in Excel, by having this tool, this is going to make that process so much easier with less confusion on where people are scheduled. The system is easy to learn, very user friendly. The 2 training sessions were helpful and I was able to create my schedules that same day with ease. December 21, 2015 4.0 PROS: ScheduleAnywhere allows me to easily manage the complicated staffing for three sites. The mobile app is a plus for our nurses. The Time-Off function works well for me to accept or deny requests. CONS: The schedule can be difficult to read. The server seems to crash often requiring that I re-login. There is no "auto-schedule" function that you can use to set rules then populate the schedule automatically. November 23, 2015 4.0 We have always used a paper based schedule, at the end of the month it would be tattered and difficult to decipher. With the help of their great technical staff, ScheduleAnywhere was easy to set up, easy to use and to teach. I am able to post schedules months in advance and adjust as needed without the mess and confusion of erasing or crossing out. Staff love the ability to request important dates as well as view open shifts. ScheduleAnywhere has so many handy features (tracking variances, seniority, hours, ..)
