Pros Only few things 1- the ability to create custom report is great (sometime) but need a lot of training (which they provide only by money) and need to check the report multiple time to make sure it’s accurate. 2- creating your own template/marksheet is good, but not user friendly at all and one mistake will be disaster. You need to be extremely careful and to make changes to it is very very hard. 3- the functionality of creating report cars for individual is kinda good because it’s allowing you to build report using word and attach the data as tags. But not easy to use also. And has a lot of bugs Cons Support is very very bad and it might take up to months to solve issue. And in most of the case they don’t solve or they will let you read 800 pages to find the answer your way. They don’t know the answer to anything Very bad user friendly even for the new product called next gen Very hard to use If you make mistakes you need to do a lot of works to remove it. The software needs training by them which they offer for big price which doesn’t make any sense, company like this should offer training for free Even if you do get trained they won’t cover everything and you will need their help eventually. The contract they hook you up with is quite bad and no exit from it. Pros Easy to use for the teachers to take attendance, manage behaviour and capture data. Cons Reports have glitches and so cannot always be deemed reliable. On data reports, individual pupils would appear twice or wouldn't appear at all so I constantly have to double check if all pupils are accounted for. When running reports, I would encounter technical glitches i.e. the system would not take data from marksheets to populate a report. Won't use generic version of it because they aren't as good. Will always recommend to others. Pros I like using Sims it's easy to use and very fun and I always recommend it. Easy to navigate and find things. Cons Sometimes it freezes the electronic I'm using it on but not very often sometimes it can be slow but that usually during an update. The ability to create and run a wide variety of reports on all aspects of school life. The ease of use of running these reports once they are set up and the speed at which it provides accurate data which can be exported to other formats. The assessment and data collection sections which again can be fully customised and utilised to display the data set that is needed from individual students to whole school data. The amount of information you can store about individuals to ensure that everything you need is in one place and you don't have to collect information from different pieces fo software. Cons It can sometimes be difficult to create initial reports and it would be nice to have a section fo templates to choose from when initially creating reports. The messaging service could be more user friendly with an inbox and outbox system to make messaging through the software much easier. Pros The system is fairly flexible, and the reports you can run and thorough. We implemented a right click on a student feature where we can add merit / demerit points. Those points automatically calculated to a form of punishment / achievement in a daily bases. Also good for digging into any data you need. Cons The UI and UX is horrific. Nothing is intuitive and everything looks broken all the time. You get used to it but certainly not nice.
