We had to send emails, keep track in spreadsheets, and follow up one by one. Now, DocRead handles all of that. We can see who’s read what and when, which helps us stay compliant and saves our team a lot of time and stress most especially during audits. Pros I like that it gives me a clear record of who has read what. As someone in charge of making sure policies are followed, having that kind of proof makes my job a lot easier. We also like the automatic reminders as it takes one more thing off our plate. Cons Sometimes it takes a few extra clicks to get to the reports I need. It works fine, but I wish the reporting was a bit quicker or easier to customize. Not a big issue, but when you’re in a rush during audit prep, every second counts. DocRead allows our document managers to upload an item to a SharePoint document library and then assign that item to groups of users. Once assigned, the users are then given a configurable amount of time to read and confirm the information. The document managers can then easily find the statistics from the real data reports on the site. This has been a very helpful and efficient tool. We had over 8000 Attendees, with 110 Speakers and a team of 10 managing it. DocRead was instrumental in distributing forms such as Terms of Service, Speaker Sign-up, Speakers Guide, Conference Code of Use and Conference Guides. Once we placed the correct user into the correct SharePoint Group DocRead would automatically assign a 'Reading Task' to both new and existing users. We also used DocSurvey alongside DocRead to gather input from the different types of users. Both products saved us mountains of time and also required no training from the users perspective. We intend to do more conferences and these products will be the first on our shopping list! Working with you on the conference was great from our point of view as we have discovered ways to improve both DocRead and DocSurvey to suit much wider use cases. All of this will be rolled out in the summer of 2014, so will be completed in plenty of time for your next SP24.
