### "Slack: Essential for Desk Based Workforces"

July 25, 2026

5.0

I love Slack and could not run my business without it. Nothing beats the speed, ease, and easy way to communicate and meet with team members around the world.

Pros

Slack is the best way for a desk based workforce to communicate. Hands down. Nothing beats the speed, customizability, and ease of using Slack. As a small business owner, the first thing I did was set up my email, and second was a Slack account. It's also so affordable for small businesses to use, and the freemium plan is also fantastic on its own. I recently had an issue with billing and their customer support fixed it in mere hours.

Cons

Honestly, nothing. Occassionally there will be a bug or issue, like when you had to hard refresh to get rid of phantom notifications, but that is once in a blue moon.

### "A perfect team communication and collaboration platform"

July 23, 2026

5.0

Overall, I had a positive experience using Slack because it is a great multipurpose tool that helps to manage and organise work effectively. It became apparent when working with international freelancers from various parts of the world who successfully managed to cooperate using this tool. I would recommend it to people who run online businesses and collaborate with many freelancers.

Pros

I had the opportunity to use Slack while working as a Digital Marketing Assistant for the company HostHelp. I liked the tool because it provided an opportunity to communicate with coworkers effectively for several reasons. Firstly, it is user-friendly and much easier and faster than email. Secondly, it has a great search option and the possibility to share and manage files. Other advantages include the ability to work from different operating systems and devices such as computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. It is possible to sort conversations by the team, project, and topics to find the needed information faster.

Cons

However, I noticed some disadvantages of the tool. Firstly, it is challenging to keep up with continuous messages, resulting in informational overload. Secondly, the tool can be distracting since you get many notifications popping up on your device. Finally, it is necessary to spend much time learning Slack functions such as channels, threads, mentions, notifications, and apps. Moreover, you need to pay for advanced plans to get more useful functions. This might be expensive for small businesses.

### "Slack is very slack"

August 22, 2026

3.0

I personally did not like the platform. It was overwhelming for me and difficult to navigate to get the needed information.

Pros

It showed all available team members and others in the organization to reach out and connect with to collaborate.

Cons

Not easy to navigate and cumbersome. Too noisy for my taste in terms of what message was being conveyed.

### "Powerful communication and work management tool"

May 22, 2026

4.0

After making it through the initial learning period, I have been happy using Slack. It helps me manage communication topics, stay on top of my work, and go back through chat histories to find information and files I need.

Pros

Slack is a powerful tool for both work management and communication. The supported integrations elevates visibility of tasks from different connected applications. The splitting of Direct Messages and Channels is helpful for ensuring communication reaches its target audience.

Cons

Slack has a steep learning curve compared to other platforms (less intuitive in my opinion). Based on if conversations were continued within individual threads or within the main body of a message, I could inadvertently miss replies. Also it seems that my notifications for in-thread replies are inconsistent between my computer and phone's application. I'm used to this now and just make sure to constantly monitor the Activity page.

### "Slack for Project Managers"

August 6, 2026

5.0

I have had a great overall experience with Slack and don't think I could do my job as effectively with out it!

Pros

This is the best way to communicate with my team! I don't think I could survive without it. We also use it to huddle or have small unplanned meetings. It is super easy to use. I also use the Canvas as a project planning tool to make sure everyone on the team is aligned.

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to find what I'm looking for, but the search functionality is improving so much.

### "Everything starts in Slack"

August 12, 2026

5.0

I use Slack every day and have started using it even more to track tasks, create Jira tickets and even trigger Agents to begin work.

Pros

Slack has gone from a chat application to a full work system where you can start most of your work from a single place using slack Apps and connections. Slackbot has also improved over the past year and is now much more relevant to todays AI world.

Cons

There isn't much to not like, but I would say that the development side is very complicated and setting up an initial app for testing can be overwhelming with the options available.

### "Can’t work without"

September 5, 2026

4.0

I use Slack as a professional live chat tools. Not only using it with the colleagues, but also to communicate with external partners.

Pros

Its ease of use and flexibility. The way you can open a new chat and a channel to share with others is the best

Cons

Just as a personal point of view, the UI is not as modern as other tools are made. Some changes could help improve.

### "Wonderful communication tool"

August 16, 2026

5.0

I've used many and it's my go to tool when it comes to official communication tool. I just love it over any other similar tool.

Pros

It's the best office communication tool I've seen around. It provides chat and meeting options, supports file sharing. Support is also great.

Cons

I've seen a bug in recent times, if I don't restart my laptop or quit Slack for a few days on my Mac, I find that I'm not able to attach files until I quit Slack app and relaunch it.

### "A great communication tool"

July 30, 2026

5.0

Overall - it's hard to beat slack for a communication tool. It makes my day to day work life pretty easy.

Pros

Slack makes it really easy to communicate both internally and externally with my team, clients and vendors. I specifically like sharing files in slack, and enjoy being able to use the gif function.

Cons

I have had some issues where pdf files show different colors when previewing them in slack. Also - open graph meta titles, descriptions and images if I change one of those - I'm not sure how fast slack updates that information for web page previews.

Pros

Good for remote teams to collaborate. Very easy to use and chat with your team. able to discuss bugs and issues.

Cons

Nothing really. Sometimes it is laggy and hard to integrate with Jira and Atlassian, but otherwise I like it.

### "Solid products for teams"

April 27, 2026

5.0

Pros

An amazing product that truly allows teams to connect, collaborate, and communicate with ease. It's extremely easy to share files via drag-and-drop, and there are almost no bugs or issues.

Cons

Obviously, it's a premium product and it comes to a premium price. It would be better if it were more affordable for certain organizations like charities, but getting access to their discounted program is challenging, and the process is not straightforward.

### "Slack is Good"

March 19, 2026

4.0

I use slack daily for work and it’s pretty easy to navigate although some of the hotkey functions aren’t easily reversible. That might be a me problem though.

Pros

As a free app, it's an extremely good deal especially for small workplace teams. If you are operating with a small group to get something done, it’s very easy to use

Cons

There are some features that Don’t function correctly for me like the huddle feature. I would prefer other apps for voice calls as well.

### "Slack for everyday work works!"

July 5, 2026

4.0

After using it five days a week for the last three years, I can't imagine doing my job without it. It's an essential tool for our daily workflow that keeps everyone connected, though it definitely requires some personal discipline to prevent it from taking over your entire workday.

Pros

It keeps all our team communication in one place. Channels make it incredibly easy to organize projects, and the search function is a lifesaver for finding old files or links. It has basically replaced internal email for us, making daily collaboration much faster and more casual.

Cons

I miss a lot of messages because i cannot get the notifications to actually notify me in the computer. It’s also very easy to get buried in messages if you step away for a day, making catching up feel like a chore.

### "A Flexible and Powerful Platform for Team Collaboration"

June 11, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Slack has been extremely positive. It has become a central hub for team communication and collaboration, making it much easier to coordinate projects, share knowledge, and stay aligned across different teams. The platform is flexible enough to support a wide variety of workflows and integrates seamlessly with many business tools. While managing notifications and information flow can sometimes be challenging in larger workspaces, the productivity and collaboration benefits far outweigh these limitations.

Pros

What I liked most about Slack is its flexibility and the way it enables real collaboration across teams. Channels, direct messages, integrations, and notifications all work together to keep communication organized without relying heavily on email. It adapts well to different workflows, from small teams to large organizations, and makes it easy to share information, coordinate projects, and collaborate in real time. The extensive integration ecosystem further enhances productivity by connecting Slack with the tools teams already use every day.

Cons

What I liked least about Slack is that information can sometimes become fragmented across multiple channels, threads, and direct messages, making it difficult to keep track of important discussions. Notification management can also be challenging in active workspaces, leading to information overload if not carefully configured. While Slack offers powerful search capabilities, finding older conversations or specific files is not always as intuitive as it could be.

### "A tool that keeps the whole team on the same page."

May 23, 2026

5.0

It has become the main way our team stays in touch and gets things done. It is easy to pick up even for people who are not very tech savvy. There are moments where it feels like too much is happening at once, but once you get used to managing your notifications it works really well day to day.

Pros

Pros: What did you like most about Slack? Slack makes team communication a lot easier. Everything is organized by channels so you always know where to find a conversation. Searching for old messages or files is quick and reliable. It also connects well with other tools we already use like Google Drive, Zoom and Samsara, which saves a lot of time switching between apps.

Cons

Notifications can get out of hand if you are in a lot of channels. It takes some time to figure out the right settings so you are not constantly interrupted. Also, when too many conversations are happening at once it can feel hard to keep up, and important messages sometimes get buried.

### "Slack helps me manage multiple clients efficiently"

May 5, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Slack has been very positive. As a solo product consultant working across multiple client organizations, I’ve found it to be an essential tool for staying organized, responsive, and connected without getting buried in email. It has helped me manage conversations by client and project, collaborate more efficiently, and maintain visibility across several workstreams at once. While notification volume and search can be frustrating at times, the overall value has far outweighed those drawbacks, especially because the platform helps me move faster and reduce administrative overhead.

Pros

What I liked most about Slack was how effectively it helped me manage communication across multiple client organizations without losing context. As a solo product consultant, I rely on the ability to move quickly between workspaces while keeping conversations, decisions, and deliverables organized by client and project. Slack’s channel structure makes that easy, and features like Huddles help me align with clients quickly without the overhead of scheduling formal meetings. I also found the AI and automation capabilities especially valuable for summarizing long threads and reducing repetitive administrative work, which helps me stay focused on higher-value strategic work.

Cons

What I liked least about Slack was how difficult it can be to manage at scale across multiple active workspaces. As a solo consultant, notification volume can become overwhelming, and it takes constant tuning to stay responsive without disrupting focused work. I also found that search, while useful, does not always make it easy to quickly surface specific historical context, files, or decisions across busy channels and threads when I need something fast.

### "Efficient team communication with some organization challenges"

April 22, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Slack has been very positive, especially for day to day team communication and collaboration. It makes it easy to stay connected through channels, share files quickly, and keep conversations organized around specific topics or projects. The simplicity of chat based communication really helps reduce the need for long email exchanges and keeps work discussions more immediate and clear. It also supports quick meetings when needed, which helps in resolving issues faster and keeps work moving without delays. File sharing within conversations is convenient and improves teamwork since everything stays linked to the relevant discussion. In terms of ease of use, it is straightforward to get started and does not require much training. At the same time, there are a few challenges. With heavy usage, channels can become crowded and important messages may get lost in the flow of conversation. Notifications can also become distracting if not managed properly. Overall, it is a strong communication tool that works well for teams that value fast and organized collaboration, even though it requires good channel discipline to avoid information overload.

Pros

What I liked most about Slack is how simple it makes team communication. The chat is very smooth and organized, and it is easy to keep different discussions in separate channels without losing track of anything. It helps reduce long email threads and keeps conversations more focused. It is also easy to use, even for new users, and setting up channels or groups does not take much effort. File sharing works well since documents and links can be shared directly in chats, which makes collaboration faster. Meetings can be started quickly when needed, which helps in resolving issues without delay. From a value perspective, it feels worth it because it combines messaging, collaboration, and file sharing in one platform. Customer support has also been responsive whenever assistance was needed, and overall performance is stable with only occasional minor issues.

Cons

What I liked least about Slack is that it can get overwhelming when there are too many channels and messages. Important conversations sometimes get buried, especially in active teams, which makes it harder to keep track of everything. Occasional bugs or notification overload can also affect focus when working on multiple discussions at the same time.

### "Slack over 4 years"

April 1, 2026

5.0

My experience with Slack has been very positive. It’s one of the best tools for day-to-day team communication and quick coordination, and it keeps work moving without a lot of friction. It does take some discipline (good channel hygiene, using threads, and knowing when to move things to docs), but when used well it’s a huge productivity boost.

Pros

it makes collaboration feel effortless—quick questions get answered fast, and it reduces the need for unnecessary meetings. I also really appreciate the way channels create a shared “team memory”: decisions, context, links, and updates are easy to find later, which is a huge help when you’re juggling multiple projects.

Cons

Slack can quietly create a “always-on” feeling—because messages move fast, it’s easy to feel pressure to respond immediately even when you’re deep in focused work. Another pain point is that important information can get trapped in threads and DMs; if something isn’t documented elsewhere, it can become hard to rediscover later, especially when channel volume is high and older context gets buried.

### "Essential tool for team collaboration and workflow automation."

April 9, 2026

5.0

Slack has fundamentally changed our team's collaboration practices because it decreased our internal email needs by almost 80 percent. The application functions as a digital headquarters because it offers more than basic chat features. The system creates a transparent organizational environment which lets people access information easily while maintaining remote team connections through its multiple channels and integration systems.

Pros

The team communication system operates smoothly through its user-friendly interface and channel organization system. The 'Huddle' feature enables me to conduct fast audio synchronization because it eliminates the need for scheduled meetings. Our workflow management system achieves peak performance through its best-in-class integration with Google Drive and Jira and Trello and other tools.

Cons

The notification management system becomes unmanageable because of its default settings which create notification fatigue for users. The Pro and Business pricing model proves expensive for small teams while users experience difficulties in locating specific historical files and messages through the search function.

### "Efficient Team Communication Tool with Strong Collaboration Features"

April 17, 2026

5.0

Slack is a great way for teams to talk to each other, share files, and work together all in one place. Customer support teams are very helpful and friendly. It works well with other tools and is easy to use, which makes teams more productive overall. But too many notifications and some limits on the free plan can make the experience less enjoyable.

Pros

Slack is a great way for teams to talk to each other, especially because its organized chat channels keep conversations structured and easy to follow. It also makes it easy to share files and works well with other tools, which makes the whole workflow more efficient. The clean design makes it easy to use for working together every day.

Cons

Too many notifications and active channels can make Slack hard to use. The free version has limits on message history and file storage, which makes it less worth the money. Bugs and performance problems that happen from time to time can also make chat and meetings less smooth.

### "Slack is awesome for all kinds of things!"

March 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, I have had super positive experiences with Slack. The UI is very easy to navigate and understand. I never found a feature I wanted that wasn't there.

Pros

Slack is legit. I've used Slack for a long time for a lot of different things. I first used it for my college baseball team. We had Slack channels for everything, practice, travel, weights, game schedule, you name it. At work we use it or everything and I got it integrated with our Salesforce environment so we could talk business and open channels straight from sales leads.

Cons

A lot of the times, notifications were having trouble. Mostly on my iPhone. Sometimes push notifications would come through and sometimes they wouldn't. I tried everything to get them to work but never fully got it figured out.

### "Great for Fast Team Communication, But Hard to Stay Organized"

January 29, 2026

4.0

Notification overload and scattered conversations make it easy to miss important context, and Slack isn’t great for long-term knowledge management.

Pros

Slack makes team communication fast and transparent by keeping conversations, files, and updates in one place. Channels help organize discussions by topic, integrations streamline workflows, and real-time messaging reduces reliance on email.

Cons

Slack can become overwhelming as teams grow, with constant notifications, fragmented conversations, and important information getting buried instead of being easy to find later.

### "Love, love, love Slack! "

April 14, 2026

5.0

I love Slack. It's the first thing I check in the morning when I am ready to start my work day, and it's the last thing I check before logging off for the day. It's super dependable and I love using it every day.

Pros

I absolutely love Slack-- I don't know what I would do without it. I love that it has been to heavily adopted by my company-- we use it jsut as much as email if not slightly more. I love all of the innovation they have been doing with AI as well.

Cons

I really don't have much to say about Slack in regard to what I do not like. From time to time, I experience what seems to be a bug with their notifications in app-- it says I have many unread messages, but I am all caught up, this generally solves itself and is not an issue that is interfering with my use of he tool.

### "Powerful team communication with an overwhelming UI"

December 30, 2025

3.0

Pros

Slack makes it very easy to communicate with anyone across the organization. Being able to quickly message teammates, participate in team channels, and have dedicated groups for different functions helps speed up collaboration and decision making. It is also helpful knowing exactly where to go to ask questions or get quick answers. The notification settings can be useful when configured properly and help ensure important messages are not missed.

Cons

The user interface can be challenging to navigate, especially when trying to find past conversations, threads you have commented in, or messages saved for later. It can be difficult to track down specific chats or discussions by date. While some of this functionality may exist, it is not intuitive or easy to discover. Slack can also feel overwhelming due to the constant flow of messages. Without careful customization of channels and notifications, it is easy to become inundated with information. The ease of reaching anyone at any time can also create a sense of urgency around everything, which can make it harder to prioritize what truly needs immediate attention. It requires significant user effort to manage effectively, and the UI could benefit from being more streamlined and user friendly.
