### "Slack corporate messenger "

February 2, 2026

5.0

Slack is great as a corporate messenger. It's simple and convenient to use. In general, it has all the necessary functionality for messaging and calls: good quality video and screen sharing in calls, groups creation and archiving, files exchange, etc. It's easy to sync it with other software to receive notifications (Gdrive, Hibob, Hubspot, etc.).

Pros

I can sync Slack with my Google calendar (it's very useful as I receive reminder notifications 1 minute before my meeting). It's easy to create groups in Slack (even with external users) - we use it to communicate with out external providers too. It's also possible to create polls in slack channels and templates for standardized messages. Now the AI tools have also been actively implemented in it. It generates recap of all messages received (especially long ones) - it helps reduce the time on reading some long less important messages.

Cons

Nothing in particular. No issues or bugs identified so far. Maybe it could have some GIFs available, even though it is for corporate use but we sometimes use them in my team.

### "Slack- Great for staff communication and rewarding."

March 7, 2026

3.0

Did enjoy Slack but needed other features to be worth our entire staff communication app. Loved the ability of shout outs and gift card redemption but wanted other features like courses, knowledge base for staff, etc.. Integration with a schedule would have been a nice feature. Overall wish there were more features to use more than only just communication and being a more well rounded staff app.

Pros

Enjoyed the ease of different channels for specific team communication. Also, the ease of being able to "shout out" other staff members and rewarding them with points that translate to gift cards.

Cons

Nothing bad to say about Slack, I do just wish there were more functions to make it a complete useful app worth the monthly payment versus only communication.

### "I like it so much I call all my chat apps Slack"

January 30, 2026

5.0

Slack is easy and fun to use. There are just enough customizations and the integrations make the experience unique to your organization but familiar enough as you bring on new team members. I've used it at enterprise, smb and startup environments and it delivered in equal measure for each. Solid value for the money and very limited bugs and issues. I haven't used the customer support and don't have much to say about File storage features.

Pros

Slack has a sense of irreverence to it that is helpful for remote and hybrid cultures. A "cool kid" factor that you just don't find with Teams or other options. The app is also excellent and easy to use.

Cons

I don't prefer using Threads. I think the use of inline replies as an option instead of breaking out a thread is helpful in larger groups or longer conversations involving multitasking. I would also say that Teams calls are more intuitive and helpful than Huddles. Even still I prefer the experience overall to that of Teams and especially Google Chat.

Alternatives considered

[Google Chat](https://www.capterra.com/p/175800/Chat/)[Microsoft Teams](https://www.capterra.com/p/168668/Microsoft-Teams/)

Reason for choosing Slack

Google chat doesn't even compare, Teams is useful but feels a bit more corporate and rigid

### "Best business communication platform"

February 12, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with slack is amazing and I love using it everyday for work. Having used other business communication platforms such as teams, Slack is much more responsive and easier to use.

Pros

I use slack literally everyday during for my work, where I direct message my colleagues, comment on threads, and keep up to date with channels and groups. Slack allows me to seamlessly communicate and work with my colleagues. There are many features I love about slack, such as the threads feature to categorize conversations, huddle feature to quickly hop on a call with colleagues, and the activity tab to see the latest activities to follow up and keep up to date with information.

Cons

There isn't too much cons about slack, but I notice periodically some features with Slack can be down at times, such as slow search times, slow responsiveness and lag. Most recently, the search feature in slack wasn't populating any searches. However, these are almost always incidents and bugs that Slack acknowledges and fixes within 1-2 hours.

### "Straightforward team chat and project organization"

February 9, 2026

4.0

I have used Slack as a member of multiple organizations of different sorts, and it has been an effective and easily understandable tool at all of them.

Pros

Slack is a very easy to use, has a free tier is more than enough for many organizations, and is effective for almost any organization to use.

Cons

I have found that some of the integrations with other services can be a bit fiddly, but it's unclear whether that's Slack's doing or the other services. I'm also not a fan of it hiding channels and/or DMs after a period of inactivity, but that's just a personal preference.

### "Slack is awesome for all kinds of things!"

March 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, I have had super positive experiences with Slack. The UI is very easy to navigate and understand. I never found a feature I wanted that wasn't there.

Pros

Slack is legit. I've used Slack for a long time for a lot of different things. I first used it for my college baseball team. We had Slack channels for everything, practice, travel, weights, game schedule, you name it. At work we use it or everything and I got it integrated with our Salesforce environment so we could talk business and open channels straight from sales leads.

Cons

A lot of the times, notifications were having trouble. Mostly on my iPhone. Sometimes push notifications would come through and sometimes they wouldn't. I tried everything to get them to work but never fully got it figured out.

### "Slack Messenger Review"

March 14, 2026

5.0

Pros

I've been using Slack for almost 4 years now. Prior to Slack, I used other tools for team collaboration, but I found Slack much better in terms of its UI, ease of use, and integration capabilities with other internal tools, which notify me if anything changes. For example, if I raise a JIRA ticket and there's an update on it, I receive notifications in Slack as well, which is really helpful.

Cons

The recent app updates that changed the UI are something I don’t really like. I feel the earlier UI was better and cleaner. Otherwise, it works as it used to and does the job.

I use Slack to communicate with our web development team as well as project management and other administrative related tasks.

Pros

Slack is a great place for operations management, it has a plethora of features you can use depending on the account you pay for.

Cons

You have to pay to use all the features but it is very affordable in terms of what it offers for the paid version of the product.

### "Easy to use collaboration and communication tool"

February 26, 2026

5.0

Very easy to integrate and leverage to communicate with our teams internally and externally. So far we have saved money across the company leveraging Slack.

Cons

Organization is not always the easiest in the tool and took some getting use to, but once the team figured out the best way it wasn't as negative as originally thought.

### "A staple for PP app!"

January 22, 2026

4.0

Slack has been a staple for us for our core messaging and communication platform and has been quite decent for us based on it's functionality.

Pros

The user interface for slack is incredible. Quick meetings, the chat feature and then the integrations are just excellent.

Cons

Notifications and file sharing can be a bit misaligned sometimes and at scale the pricing can become a bit expensive.

Just better costing but also usability as well as the superior integrations

### ""Effective Platform for Centralized and Real -Time Team Communication""

January 23, 2026

5.0

As per my honest opinion,My overall experience with slack is outstanding. Slack solves the problems of scattered communication across emails and multiple tools and it helps me by centralizing all team conversations making it easy for me to collaborate easily and effectively. This improves response time and consequently helps me in reducing dependency on emails everytime for a new messages. It generally helps my teammates and me to saty aligned , especially in remote or hybrid work enviroments.Overall ,i can say that it increases productivity and keeps everyone connected in real time. Apart from that Slack helps me by solving several major workplace communication and collaboration problems by bringing all team conversations into one centralized platform.

Pros

The things that I like most about the Slack are depicted below Effective Communication: Slack provides platform for fast, organized and effective conversation on a particular topic with teammates . Reliable features: Slack provides for the real time messagings, file sharing and search functionality inside this platform makes it easy for me to find out the past conversation and documents when needed. Integration with other software tools like Google Drive ,Zoom and other workplace apps are generally considered as a big advantage for me ,as everything can be managed from one platform . The interface of Slack is clean and intuitive , so any new team members can adapt quickly without any much training.

Cons

The things that I disliked about the Slack are depicted below The important messages can sometimes did not get in focus, when there are too many active channels or notification popping out at the same time. When there is a large teams or active workplaces, messages from multiple channels ,threads , and direct message can become overwhelming making it difficult to focus on high priority conversations. Apart from that , over the time ,teams may create too many channels ,which can lead to the confusion and make it harder for me to identify where specific discussions should takes place.

### "Efficient, Intuitive, and Built for Team Collaboration"

January 4, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Slack has been very positive. It’s an intuitive, well-designed communication tool that makes collaboration feel fast and seamless. The ability to move easily between channels and conversations, combined with clear prioritization of unread messages, helps me stay organized even on busy days. Slack strikes a strong balance between functionality and ease of use, and features like shortcuts, message editing, and emojis not only improve efficiency but also help foster a sense of culture and connection within the workplace.

Pros

I love the ease of use of Slack, especially how easily I can switch between channels and conversations. I can be inundated with messages on a busy day—I love how Slack prioritizes my unread messages and pushes them to the top so I can prioritize which messages to respond to first. The ease of editing and sending a message is quite satisfying, and the shortcuts in which to navigate between channels is quite satisfying as well. The emojis add a custom flair and builds culture within my workplace.

Cons

On especially busy days, Slack can feel overwhelming. Despite its strong prioritization tools, the high volume of messages across multiple channels can create noise and make it harder to focus on deep work. Important messages can occasionally get buried, and the constant stream of notifications can make it challenging to fully disconnect during the workday.

### "Slack is THE best! "

November 30, 2025

5.0

Overall Slack is a great communication tool and definitely recommend for any business. Being able to download an app on your phone and have a way to communicate with everyone all over the world is a plus.

Pros

I started working for company that used Slack as the only form of communication between everyone at the company (from different parts of the world). Slack was honestly very nice to use, we all had different roles within the company and had channels created for each role. Everyone could see what we were each working on and it would keep a record of what we have completed. We had a mutual channel that we used for discussion and we also had private channels where we would discuss personal things with the supervisors. I liked that we could upload videos and pictures and react to certain discussions by emoji's. My favorite was to mark a task as completed with the green checkmark. We could always go back and look at the channels and find out if a specific task was completed. I only contacted Costumer support once and they were extremely helpful and friendly.

Cons

I don't think there is anything I don't like about Slack. We used it everyday multiple times a day and everything about It I loved.

### "A Powerful Platform for Real Time Collaboration"

November 7, 2025

5.0

Overall, I really like using Slack. It makes it easy to stay in touch with the team, share files, and track ongoing projects. Sometimes it can get busy with notifications, but it’s a huge improvement over email, and I can’t imagine going back.

Pros

I like how Slack keeps everyone connected, especially in a remote setup. The instant communication, status updates, and ability to create focused channels make teamwork much smoother.

Cons

The main challenge with Slack is message overload. It’s hard to focus when there are constant pings from multiple channels. Better tools for highlighting critical messages or consolidating updates would make it more efficient for teams

### "The very best product for team communication"

December 16, 2025

5.0

Slack is the clear market leader in communication software. I very much like that it hasn't been flooded with chatbot-esque features, and really appreciate that each UI change they introduce is gradual and well informed.

Pros

Slack has done the work to make the most impressive and comfortable UI on the market. I am always confident that I will get notifications. I have submitted support tickets in the past and received an actual response. Speaking to single or groups of team members is made extremely easy through the product. File retention policies and file sharing is also easy to manage, and is one of the more secure means

Cons

The product is expensive, given that it is offered as an add-on through the standard suite of either google or microsoft's services.

### "Slack keeps our team communicated"

September 9, 2025

5.0

Slack has been an effective communication and collaboration platform, particularly for distributed teams. Its organised channel structure, robust search functionality, and integrations with tools like Google Workspace, Jira, and Zoom significantly streamlined our workflows. While notification management and message history limitations can pose challenges, overall, Slack contributed to improved team coordination and productivity.

Pros

Slack makes team communication incredibly easy and efficient. I liked how organised the channels were, and the ability to integrate with tools like Google Drive and Zoom saved a lot of time. File sharing is simple, and the search function is a lifesaver. The app is user-friendly on both desktop and mobile.

Cons

It can get overwhelming with too many channels and notifications. Plus, the limited message history in the free plan is a drawback. Also, sometimes Slack won't automatically update the status if the meeting starts in Google Meet

### "Intuitive, Fun, and Essential for Remote Work Culture"

January 7, 2026

5.0

Would definitely use it again. Only thing holding me back was I was frequently kicked off when working remotely and had to sign in multiple times.

Pros

Easy to use - Team users frequently use emojis, GIFs, and custom themes that made my workplace communication feel more engaging and less sterile than traditional tools like email. Features like Huddles allowed for instant, one-click audio/video syncs that simulate quick office chats. Threaded conversations helped keep my specific project discussions organized and tucked away from the main channel feed. Great integration for file sharing and screenshots for quick response for management. Allowed me to provide better customer support and quick answers to questions.

Cons

Being in a large team, the volume of my pings and channel alerts became overwhelming, leading to constant notifications and fragmented attention that actually decreased my deep-work productivity.

### "Fun and Efficient Tool"

September 10, 2025

I have used slack at several different companies I have worked for and it had always been a pleasant and effective tool to communicate with my colleagues.

Pros

I love the ability to customize channel names and send GIFs. It is also very beneficial to have the auto-update feature turned on for my status to reflect my availability based on my Outlook calendar.

Cons

What I like least about slack is sometimes my status does not always properly sync with my Outlook calendar to show that I am in a meeting.

### "Highly recommend 5 stars"

September 15, 2025

5.0

Our overall experience with Slack has been most positive. We use it daily with programmers, tech support, customer service associates and our administrative departments. Slack keeps everyone in the loop daily. We find it highly valuable and easy to use.

Pros

Slack is very easy to use. We like that you can include just certain people in a chat and not the whole company when needed. It has a great array of notification sounds so you can customize what works for you. File sharing with Slack is very easy to use when sharing and downloading. You can also share pictures as well.

Cons

We have not found any Cons regarding Slack at this time. It works very well for our business needs.

### "Superb tool for internal communication"

August 21, 2025

5.0

I absolutely love Slack, and always tried to help my coworkers too, to make sure they get the best use of it too.

Pros

Almost everything! Slack is easy to use, it's now the 3rd company I work for that uses it for internal communication. Love that it has a mobile app too, so I can be in the loop even if I am away from my computer or on holiday but need to check on some work stuff. Channels are easy to set up and managed. It's nothing to do with work, but I love that it's customisable, be it the colour theme of the app, or the most used emojis to the notification settings.

Cons

It can be a little overwhelming for some who is new to Slack, threads can be easily lost, at least this was what I saw most with coworkers who never used Slack before. especially if someone was tagged in a post in a channel that has lots of traffic, the mention most times were missed, because it was not in threads and if you didn't go through all the past communication of that channel, your mention was missed.

### "Great for Communication, Needs Better Organization"

August 18, 2025

4.0

Overall, Slack is very nice and well organized for day-to-day communication. It makes collaboration much easier, but I wish it offered more ways to organize channels and keep things tidy long term.

Pros

Slack makes it really easy to stay in touch with my teammates. I like being able to send direct messages quickly, and team communication feels smooth and natural. I also enjoy reading channels about fun things happening with coworkers (like the book-club channel) and keeping up with company-wide updates in the general channels.

Cons

I can’t archive channels I don’t use anymore in a way that makes them easily accessible later. It would also be helpful to have more structure, like subfolders or directories, to keep everything organized.

All in all It’s great. It’s really helps preventing people from utilizing their personal phones for work related communication.

Pros

It makes being able to document things in our store channel and then being able to look back at it for reference. It’s so easy to keep all work related communication through one channel rather than having to look through messages on my personal phone.

Cons

5.0

My experience with Slack has been excellent. It’s a core part of our daily workflow, making communication, file sharing, and project updates easy and efficient. It helps keep everyone aligned and connected, whether we're in the office or remote.

Pros

Slack keeps everything organized through channels and threads, and the integrations with other tools like Google Drive and Jira make collaboration seamless. The overall experience is smooth across desktop and mobile.

Cons

Screen sharing during Huddles on a MacBook can be a bit clunky. It’s not as intuitive as the rest of the Slack experience.
