Its features set is unrivaled and I don’t think you could ask for more for what it does. Pros I absolutely love slack, for day to day collaboration there’s nothing that comes close. From sending small and large files and general chat between teams and colleagues, its ease of use, it has everything you would need to keep your team flowing as best it can possibly be. Slack Connect and 3rd party app integrations are a good feature but can get annoying when the original user account is deactivated which kills any integrations or connections they originally setup. There are many features I love about slack, such as the threads feature to categorize conversations, huddle feature to quickly hop on a call with colleagues, and the activity tab to see the latest activities to follow up and keep up to date with information. Cons There isn't too much cons about slack, but I notice periodically some features with Slack can be down at times, such as slow search times, slow responsiveness and lag. Most recently, the search feature in slack wasn't populating any searches. However, these are almost always incidents and bugs that Slack acknowledges and fixes within 1-2 hours. Despite its strong prioritization tools, the high volume of messages across multiple channels can create noise and make it harder to focus on deep work. Important messages can occasionally get buried, and the constant stream of notifications can make it challenging to fully disconnect during the workday.
