We've tried Teams, Hipchat, RocketChat and Slack is by far the best. Pros We are a prodominently remote business now and what stands out most about Slack is its ability to centralize communication in a way that makes teamwork seamless. The channels allow for organized discussions around specific topics, and the integration with other tools makes it easy to streamline workflows. It makes collaboration feel more dynamic because you can react to messages, share updates in real-time, and even automate some tasks to save time. Cons One of the things I like least about Slack is the potential for information overload. With so many channels, threads, and messages, it can sometimes feel overwhelming to keep up with everything, especially if you're part of a large team or working on multiple projects at once. Notifications can pile up quickly, and it’s easy to miss important messages buried in a sea of conversations. I prefer to use Zoom better and I cannot create screen captures in Slack like I can in Zoom. Pros It gets the job done. It does a better job of alerting me on my phone of messages than it does on my laptop. You can even create original pools for neighborhood watch it pta if you felt compelled to. Cons Sometimes it can be confusing when navigating between channels. I have used it at a Marriott hotel and a small coffee shop- it was efficient for both and kept everyone communicating well. Pros The ability to make multiple channels, the use of emojis, and the accessibility for small businesses and freelancers. Unfortunately we went with GWS due to pricing differences. Pros There is a lot of granularity in how you can setup and manage channels within Slack. This makes administration easy. Pros Slack ermöglicht es super schnell mit seinem Team zu kommunizieren, gerade wenn man remote arbeitet, ist es super praktisch. Außerdem kann man das auch über mehrere Organisationen nutzen. Wir haben z.B. Connections zu all unseren Kunden. Cons Eigentlich gar keine, manchmal hat man das Gefühl, dass die Benachrichtigungen etwas zu spät kommen, aber das kann auch ein WLAN Problem sein. It's also great that I can customize the look and feel of it as I don't like how emails and other work chat clients can look too corporate. Pros Easy to use and has completely replaced email in my work life. Quicker to send messages and use threads in Slack than to open my email and dig through my inbox. Cons It keeps offering to integrate with every program I use, and I don't want that. Workflows are hard to set up and impossible to get rid of. It would be great if automated workflows were easier to manage.
