### "Why I Work With Slack?."

January 23, 2026

I love the real-messages that help us communicate with each other in our company to increase productivity with our employees. Slack is cheap and User-friendly to use.

Pros

Slack is well organised and it simple to use. It has a simple learning curve for beginners to understand the software. I mostly use this software for file sharing and meetings and so far am happy to be using Slack for the have made communication easy with our customers.

Cons

There is nothing that i have found to be bad with Slack that will make me lose interest with them at all.

### "Slack Has Your Back"

April 23, 2026

5.0

Pretty smooth, functional, and to the point, just how I like my software to run. It is a go-to application for team communication.

Pros

The layout is clean and easy to navigate. The features are to the point whether you are sending a personal DM, editing, or getting a person's attention on a channel. The ability to make channels and set up groups is easy. It has been the main use of quick contact with our consultant and has saved time considerably. Being able to effectively share files is great too.

Cons

I think sometimes it fails to clear unread messages even after I scroll all the way down. It's rare but it happens

### "From scattered to synced. Best team connect app"

September 11, 2025

5.0

We have many channels but the @help-it channel where I ask for tech support has been very helpful for me.

Pros

The AI summary feature is quite good and really helps me to read long threads in short time. It’s real-time messaging keeps my projects moving quickly.

Cons

In my experience, strict notification discipline is needed to not feel like you’re constantly playing catch-up.

### "Sufficient for Small Teams"

April 6, 2026

4.0

Pros

Slack is pretty easy to use and set up. I have used it in both professional and casual settings for group messaging. Slack can be convenient and sufficient for small teams or startups using the free plan.

Cons

Slack is not as robust as a system like Microsoft Teams, but it works well for small groups or tight budgets- because it does have a free version.

### "The best communication platform out there."

February 19, 2026

5.0

I really enjoy it, I've been using it for over 5 years now, and it's the communication platform I like the most.

Pros

Easy to use, well organized threads and discussions. With it, it's easy to make the team aligned all the time. Anyone in our company can see and understand. what the rest of the team is doing.

Cons

Sometimes the notifications in "activity" are there even after I've already checked that specific item. That's kinda annoying, and I usually just ignore that.

### "Trend setting product of our times"

January 9, 2026

4.0

It is an amazing product that has swept away the industry with its innovative concepts around instant messaging.

Pros

Capability to almost completely replace emails for any actionable messaging is what makes it amazing

Cons

Calling functionality is not at par with other vendors. Use of AI is still not great. Mostly I feel that the recent features are not as well made as the original disrupting features.

### "Easy way to engage with your team"

October 16, 2025

4.0

I like the customizability of Slack with sounds, themes, and ease of adding memes and polls that enhances team engagement.

Pros

There are lots of useful features such as pinning messages or setting reminders to come back to a message if you're not able to get to it right away. Snooze while away and pinging everyone at the same time in the chat has all been incredibly helpful. Memes and polls are also easily accessible.

Cons

Slack would be even better if we were able to name chats so you can see name of chats in the side bar instead of a group of names to easily find the group chat you are looking for.

### "Essential tool for team communication and collaboration"

October 2, 2025

5.0

Slack has become central to our team's daily workflow. The ability to organize conversations by channels, integrate with our development tools, and quickly search through past discussions has significantly improved our productivity. The platform is reliable and continuously improving. It's an essential tool for any modern team looking for efficient communication and collaboration.

Pros

It is the best pro messaging app I have used so far. Hierarchy of information, integrations possibility, product development : everything is done to make the best app possible.

Cons

The notification system can be overwhelming at times, especially in large workspaces with many channels. The search functionality could be more intuitive, and the mobile app occasionally feels slower than the desktop version. Pricing for smaller teams can also be quite high.

### "My Favorite Workplace Communication Tool"

January 15, 2026

5.0

Pros

Very user-friendly, streamlined, yet also robust. The channels and threading are fantastic as well as personalization.

Cons

People often overuse it for communications that should either be done in person or via email. It leads to a less personal work environment if not used well/correctly.

### "Fun and User-Friendly Communication"

April 29, 2026

4.0

Pros

What I liked most about Slack was how easy it made communication feel organized and accessible. Conversations were clearly separated into channels, which helped keep projects, teams, and topics focused without cluttering inboxes. Real-time messaging, quick file sharing, and searchable message history made it easy to collaborate, find past discussions, and stay aligned without relying on long email threads.

Cons

What I liked least about Slack was how noisy it could become. With multiple channels, constant notifications, and side conversations, it was easy to feel overwhelmed or distracted if notifications were not carefully managed. Over time, important messages could get buried in fast-moving threads, and the expectation of being available in real time sometimes made it harder to focus on deep work.

### "Positive experience with Slack"

October 2, 2025

5.0

Slack has been fantastic, I have used many integrations with it including notion and work has been streamlined.

Pros

Slack is so straightforward to use and a very handy tool for any team, especially that of a marketing team. Having different channels to organize work and clients makes finding answers very easy.

Cons

Slack is useful but has a limited set of tools to some regard. One feature it is missing that I think would be a game changer is scheduling for employees shifts. Having this would be very useful because then you can see everyone's availability all in one place.

### "It's Slack. Just use it."

February 9, 2026

5.0

Overall great experience. I have used other platforms (teams, webex\\zoom gchat, discord etc.) Slack is really the industry standard.

Pros

Just about everyone uses it so it's great for internal and external communication. Tons of flexibility to customize, add integrations or create apps. Pretty much has made email obsolete in my org.

Cons

Only downside (if you see it that way) is the culture shift from an email driven org. The always on factor is ramped up a bit using chatops vs async communication.

### "Great communication tool for a large team"

July 30, 2025

5.0

Pros

I like how easy it is to create communication channels quickly and select peers who are working on the same project, and include them in the channel for easy, seamless communication. This saves time, concentrates the information flow to specific people and reduces unnecessary noise.

Cons

The process of setting up and disabling automations should be simpler. The sharing feature in iOS is quite buggy, as I need to sign in, unlock the phone and app, and then search for the workplace I am logged into to access the people I want to share a file with.

### ""An Essential Tool for Modern Team Communication""

July 22, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Slack has been very positive. It has significantly improved our team communication and helped reduce email clutter. The platform is reliable, fast, and keeps everyone connected, especially while working remotely. Channels for different projects ensure discussions stay relevant, and the ability to share documents, images, and links keeps everything centralized. Although it took a little time to get used to all the features, once our team was onboarded, productivity increased noticeably. Despite some minor drawbacks, Slack remains one of the most essential tools in our daily workflow and has made remote work far more efficient and manageable.

Pros

What I liked most about Slack is how it enhances team communication and collaboration. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to organize conversations into channels, keeping topics and departments separate and focused. Integration with other tools like Google Drive, Trello, and Zoom is seamless, allowing our team to access everything in one place. Real-time messaging, file sharing, and the ability to tag team members for quick attention have drastically improved our workflow. Slack’s customizable notifications also help me stay updated without being overwhelmed. The ability to create private groups and direct messages adds flexibility for confidential discussions or focused team projects.

Cons

One downside of Slack is that it can become overwhelming if not managed properly. With many channels and constant notifications, it’s easy to get distracted or miss important messages in the noise. The search function is sometimes limited, making it hard to find old messages or shared files unless they’re well-organized. Also, Slack can be a bit resource-heavy, slowing down older systems or mobile devices. Lastly, while the free version offers good features, many advanced tools like full message history and additional integrations are only available in the paid version, which can be a limitation for small teams or startups.

### "The best team communication app on the marked"

July 28, 2025

5.0

Overall, I'm very happy with Slack and I think it's probably the best option for team communication on the market. The app is easy to use and user interface is satisfying and logical.

Pros

Slack is very intuitive and easy to use. It works well for a wide range of user-types for our organization; from basically using it in place of texting, to intense project collaboration and file sharing.

Cons

I wish that group huddles were a little more robust so that we could host larger meetings without having to use zoom.

Alternatives considered

[Google Chat](https://www.capterra.com/p/175800/Chat/)[Microsoft Teams](https://www.capterra.com/p/168668/Microsoft-Teams/)

Reason for choosing Slack

Slack has a far more robust catalogue of integrations and features that make it worth the price.

### "Slack is the Modern Way to Communicate and Callaborate"

July 29, 2025

4.0

I have been using slack for nearly 10 years and overall it is a great product. It continues to evolve and offer rich features and robust integrations with many major services.

Pros

Slack is a fantastic tool for making communication seamless not only between individual team members, but also cross team and cross company. Connecting channels between clients/vendors/contractors is all a breeze and allows fast communication either via chat or huddle.

Cons

Although slack is very versatile, some things such as configuring addons or customized integration can be tedious and sometimes not very intuitive. Also, depending on how Slack is utilized, certain texts/conversations can be hard to reference or search for.

### "Slack replaced email for day-to-day communication"

July 21, 2025

5.0

Slack is one of my most-used apps and I use it daily. I have it on all my devices and depend on it as one of the core ways to communicate with my team and clients. I have used it to provide clients a group in case of an emergency that is separate from day-to-day communications so they feel supported when team members may be out of office. Its practically replaced email for project updates and communications, which has made everyone much more efficient and productive.

Pros

The most obvious is being able to communicate with either a client or a team member directly, send notes and files, have a quick voice call, and be notified of new activity. But I love that my email inbox counts are dramatically decreased and I can get caught up really quickly or search find something that I may have missed. I also really like the integrations with other tools I use every day, including Notion, Figma, Google and Linear and the ability to include custom notifications for processes we use.

Cons

Adding outside guests and companies is greatly improved, but still can be a little confusing for those not familiar with Slack. This is minor and is usually solved the same day by walking the user through the process. I've been using Slack for over 5 years now, and cannot think of any other issue.

### "Fluid & Useful Work Management Tool"

July 21, 2025

5.0

Slack overall helps keep things on truck without too much hassle. Slack enhances my productivity, and ensures i stay on top of all my responsibilities.

Pros

Planning for projects with Slack is easy and makes me feel more confident with my self because the output results are wonderful. Slack makes it easy to share ideas through team collaborations on projects. Slack has a user-friendly interface which makes it more likeable and an easy software to work with. I can also work from home with Slack and this makes me more productive and useful. I like how i can live chat with teams to collaborate on projects and share ideas. Communication with Slack is easy and fundamental to our projects and that is why i like using Slack.

Cons

Slack doesn't have dislikes and that is the thing that i like most while working with this software.

August 30, 2025

4.0

Slack is a highly effective communication and collaboration tool that simplifies team messaging, file sharing, and integration with other apps. While notifications can be overwhelming and advanced features are behind paid plans, it significantly improves team productivity and collaboration

Pros

Real-time messaging and notifications keep teams connected. Excellent file sharing and collaboration features. Intuitive interface and easy onboarding. Strong third-party integrations (Google Drive, Zoom, Jira, etc.). Reliable mobile and desktop apps.

### "Slack Review by Dr. Neeley"

May 3, 2026

5.0

Using Slack is a comfort with regard to the many features that have apparently been accepted as industry standard.

Pros

It is an industry standard, apparently, as many other companies use it as have those in which I have worked.

Cons

It seems that it doesn't tell me on my phone when someone has sent me a DM, like the previous application that I used did.

### "Reliable Team Communication Made Simple"

December 7, 2025

5.0

My experience with Slack was positive overall. It made communication smooth and helped teams stay connected. The layout was simple, the tools were easy to use, and it supported quick collaboration. Even with the busy message flow at times, it still worked well for day to day work and kept information accessible.

Pros

I appreciated how easy it was to communicate in real time. Channels kept conversations organized, which made it simple to find what I needed without digging through long email threads. I also liked how quick it was to share files, updates, or quick questions. It helped the team stay connected and reduced a lot of back and forth.

Cons

The constant flow of messages could get overwhelming at times. It was easy to miss something important if several conversations were active at once. Notifications also added up quickly, which sometimes made it hard to stay focused.

### "Slack picks up the communication slack!"

July 10, 2025

5.0

I love Slack! I was hesitant to adopt it when a client asked me to years ago. Now I use it at every company I found. It makes communication so seamless and easy. It is THE most intuitive product.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use. I like how it integrates so well with mobile. I especially like the Canvas feature that can be added to channels. I like how easy it is to message everyone on a channel with @here

Cons

Honestly, I'm not sure I can come up with anything except that in order to preserve the entire history of chats, a company has to pay. I run a large company with many contractors so the per user pricing model just doesn't work for us. I wish the pricing went in tiers rather than per user.

Overall, my experience with Slack is good. It is really good and helps centralize discussions that would be much better to access and coordination.

Pros

Slack enables team communication very quickly and more organized via channels, threads and direct messages. I really likes how easily connect tools like Google Drive, Jira and Salesforce to handle updates and workflows from one place.

Cons

Sometimes notifications can really be overwhelming when working with manty active channels. The search functionality works good but it could be more better for faster access to older conversations.
