Pros To be honest, it was the speed of the chat that made me fall for it. I can shoot a message to my sales team about processing an order, receive feedback, and wrap things up before the customer gets off the phone. It has minimized the amount of random emails we send that are unable to be organized and often lead to missed tasks. Cons It’s a little pricey, has more features on the desk top version vs the app on my phone, and has a learning curve for new users. Pros Collaborations have never been easy but with it so easy to collaborate with team within different projects. Slack is perfect for instant messages. I also able to work remotely and this helps to keep everything organised. July 9, 2025 5.0 My team absolutely loves it. It allows for great collaboration and is relatively seamless. We have several different group chats and love the service's collaborative features. Pros It's incredibly user-friendly. Easy to set up, easy to video or voice call with team members, and easy to create different groups. I also love the fun features like GIFs, as well as the more functional features like Google Calendar and Dropbox integration. Cons The only slight complaint that I have is that I wish there were a place to store files or notes of some kind. When I move from my desktop to my laptop, I find myself slacking myself any files or notes I need. They have good customer supports/many good features for collaboration and organization. It has the best integration ever. It also has notification features to stay informed about important updates and you can customize it. Pros can't tell one. This is the best communication tool ever in my workplace. Its very easy to use and has good file sharing. Searching any messages/history for last 2 years is the best feature I like. Cons One of my favorite feature is video/audio chat but i'm still having issues connecting my audio to the video chat. Its quite powerful tool though when you need a short conversation with your co-worker because you can start video chat in a sec with a few clicks. then little icon automatically shows up next to your name on to show you are currently connected to someone in a video/audio chat. While it’s convenient for quick communication, it creates constant noise and interruption. Teams end up relying on it for everything, which leads to disorganization and missed information. It’s useful in small doses, but in daily practice it tends to reduce productivity rather than support it. Pros makes real-time communication easy and integrates well with a wide range of tools. Search is strong, file sharing is quick, and channels help separate conversations (in theory). It’s great when you need fast updates or quick team discussions. Cons quickly becomes overwhelming; constant pings, endless channels, and notifications make it hard to stay focused. Important messages get buried almost instantly, and managing channel overload becomes its own job. The app drains attention throughout the day, and threads are often chaotic or easy to lose track of. Lately, I noticed that Slack is morphing into a social platform. People participate in groups of every sort, just the way they do on social. Pros Its a widespread brand. New teams and team members are either already on or can easily onboard. Plus, I like a good name that lends itself as a verb. I doubt Slack would've caught on if the name was GFKY Limited and you were "GFKYing" your teammates the latest report. Cons The navigation is not intuitive. The possibility of having multiple channels and groups for every type of conversation is great. Although I haven't used he customer support services yet because we haven't had any bugs or issues, I believe that its a good value for the money paid. Pros I like that you can upload good quality files and share the necessary information on time in a very easy and smooth way. We've been using it for years on the free version and more recently upgraded to Pro. I love the ease of use, quick setup, options for guests, huddles - it's great! Pros I love that they make it so easy to use, even if you don't have the budget to purchase the pro version. Even the free version is great! We use it for daily communication, meetings/huddles, canvas for notes or links. We have channels for clients, topics, departments. We wouldn't survive without it. I think it is a good product that is working to add new and better functionalities. Pros I like that it is simpler to change between one company and another, so in that way, you can use it for different businesses in only one application. In my case, it is advantageous. Another interesting thing is its integration with other apps. Cons I hate it when I receive a call and I don't have my earphones connected. If I answer the call directly, I find that many times the earphones are not recognized, and usually I need to restart to make my earphones recognizable. When you have an important call, that sucks. Pros enables quick, easy communication within teams and across an organization with time-saving integrations (e.g., Zoom, Trello) and features that support focus and work-life balance (e.g., set status as "at lunch" or "focused work time" to pause notifications and communicate to teammates who may be reaching out to you what is going on and when they can expect you back). Storing message history for later reference is valuable and team channels with features such as pinning messages, running polls, tagging teammates, and moving conversations into a message thread instead of the main message stream enable real-time and asynchronous information sharing while reducing distractions. Cons Sometimes my messages wouldn't download onto my mobile app as rapidly as onto my computer application, causing me to miss (or delay receipt of) messages. Additionally, while Workspaces can be useful to group different channels together, it is frustrating that you can easily miss messages to channels in one workspace while in a different workspace. Cons I don't love the search functionality. I would say this is the one place where is not as intuitive. I wish there was a clearer way to search for old chats or documents in specific channels or conversations.
