My company is a new home care company that started up in May, 2013. I was looking for a system that could help build my business. I looked at five other systems before I chose AxisCare. AxisCare provided the features I was looking for: a true web-based system that I could access from anywhere, unlimited number of users, clients, and caregivers, integrated telephony, online job applications, easy scheduling, a portal for caregivers, and complete integration with QuickBooks. Most importantly, AxisCare has provided me with an intelligent product that tracks my referrals and marketing efforts. The system is intuitive and easy to use. AxisCare provided free training, but I soon found that the system makes so much sense I can easily navigate through it myself. I've also used the YouTube training videos. AxisCare seamlessly integrates with QuickBooks so my weekly invoicing is simple.

Overall it's good product. I have a few questions and concerns that I need clarified but I like it.

Pros

easy to use and understand. I have not been able to integrate my payroll which I will be calling customer service about today.

Cons

Some of my employee's having trouble clocking in.

Scheduling is easy to use, tabs are easy to locate and navigate, app is user friendly and the staff like the ease of it

Cons

Forms- The way the forms print is very strange. I know there are changes occurring so it may be improved.

Seeing many great features and benefits being added Addition of forms creation ability and who changed visit is great

User / Security rights need the allow ability to restrict some areas Need quickststs by class to allow reporting

AxisCare is working on additions/improvements/bug fixes in order to have a superior product.

Pros

Full of helpful features and they seem to be making strides for further improvement. Love the new beta calendar for clients/caregivers if all functions worked.

Cons

Still bugs in beta calendars for clients and caregivers. Reports could use some improvement. Certification of care notes could use some tweaking.

Great software for growing companies and pricing model makes a lot of sense they grow as we grow so the price is not too overwhelming for new companies trying to grow.

Pros

Very intuitive and easy to use, cost effective, handles everything I need for my home health agency.

Cons

Don't like that you can only put when a caregiver is NOT available vs when they ARE available, it just isnt the way I am used to thinking about locating caregivers and much easier to enter when they are available vs putting in all the times they are NOT available.

Pros

The training to get set up was fairly easy.

Cons

In some of the training videos I noticed a few features that I didn't have on my screen that the trainer did. But overall, it's pretty basic.

Reason for choosing AxisCare

Customer Service was very Professional, knowledgeable and accommodating.

Cons

The look and ease of the display of information makes the product easy to use for most staff. Staff unfamiliar with home care software will need to be trained and be updated on a regularly basis.

Pros

Great features for marketing, online application, ADL's, etc. Billing is much easier than our previous software.

Cons

Hard to get a straight answer sometimes. Asked about certain features when we signed up and was told they would get back with me and never did. A sales rep called me a couple of months later trying to sell me the software I already had and when I told him I already had it he asked me how I liked it so I told him about my previous issue with no answers and he promised to call me back to go over them but never did.

Pros

Very easy to understand, amazing customer support. I enjoy going into the software and teaching myself how to use it. Very easy to self teach, but when I needed customer support it was right at my finger tips. The easy of use is probably the best feature.

Cons

No warning about changes. Some days we came in and the screen would be blue where the visits were in the past and we were confused about the change. I never received an email about the change nor did the director. I think more emails about update would be more helpful.

Pros

The caregivers access to request visits. The access from phone or computer. Since the update we have been able to print client schedule without showing our caregivers that are in overtime.

Cons

Caregivers can't access the caregiver orientation from their phones and acknowledge or sign that they have the orientation paper and when we have last minute visits they don't have time to come by the office to see specifics about the clients and we sometimes are driving and can't look them up all we can do is accept the request.

Its extremely immersive and allows for incredible amounts of data to be store and used at any time

Pros

This program is super user friendly. There is one or two things you may need to be shown, but over all it is a simple, click here and go site.

Cons

The few things that need to be learned to use, don't have any tutorial on them. A coworker has to show you.

Pros

There are many different avenues as far as functionality using Axis care. I’ve used clearcare so I see clear differences

Cons

It’s not as user friendly when it comes to schedule changes. It’s too many steps to simply change an ongoing schedule. I’ve worked with many different staffing softwares over the years and this one took me a longer time to grasp when it came to changing schedules already set up.

Mostly a great software that is pretty easy to manipulate.

Pros

I like the hyperlinks to quickly jump from Caregiver to Client through the system. The open visits view is the best thing, in my opinion.

Cons

When sorting the clients there is no way to sort alpha by classification. This is very helpful when creating my list of VA clients to check off and process my VA billing.

Really love the client notes, you can add characteristics to inform other caregivers of certain needs someone might have

Really great product. Helps let ppl know when open shifts to caregivers based on client and caregiver preferences.

Cons

Sometimes the app shuts downs but it is great being able to use this on the go so I am always aware if there is a client that is in need.

Keep the new features coming!

Pros

The scheduling features have greatly improved the scheduling process and made changing information very easy.

Cons

I would like to see more customization of reports. I have not had much time to dig into the reports, but I would like to see more robust reporting features. Expanding caregiver reports to be able to see caregiver number growth/decline on a monthly basis. Once I have a chance to go through what is available, I will have more of an idea of what I would find useful.

Pros

I think AxisCare is awesome! It has so many features that help make scheduling easy! I have been with Visiting Angels for about a year now, and I am still finding new things about AxisCare. Any time you need help, you just have to call. Usually it doesn't take very long to fix it. Works very well for what we use it for.

Cons

There have been times that we've had issues in the past that did not get resolved. I believe that AxisCare has fixed the problem though. This has not happened in a while.

Sometimes after they have responded to us about an issue it takes a little while for it to actually get fixed... If i had to pick something
