Pros: Pardot makes prioritizing follow ups for prospects more efficient for me. I can follow up with the best leads by gauging what their level of interest is.

Cons: I don't have a list of cons to write about Pardot on the sales end of things. It helps me prioritize my leads.

Pros: I love that it integrates so well with Salesforce. It is incredibly customizable, more so than any other automation tool I have used.

Cons: This product is costly compared to others, but for a larger business it is a powerful tool. Unfortunately, some of the best features are only available if you upgrade to an even more expensive plan.

Pardot works great for our needs as a company, but there is a very steep learning curve.

Pros: It links up with our Salesforce so it makes the marketing to sales handoff much easier. It is very thorough in the reporting aspect.

Cons: It is the opposite of intuitive. It takes lots of practice to figure out how to use it, and they don't let you try it out until 8 weeks of training is over with. It makes the learning process much slower.

Pros: If you are using Salesforce and not using Pardot then you're missing out on opportunities to improve your marketing/lead management. The best part about Pardot is how we could easily integrate it with Wordpress (they have a plugin) and then using lead capturing forms to feed leads & folloup with them.

Cons: It does have a learning curve, and sometimes the Wordpress plugin is not quickly updated with new releases thus we had minor incompatibilities (i.e. Widgets not showing up due to the Pardot plugin).

Pros: Pardot integrates seamlessly with Saleforce, so if you are using Salesforce for your CRM, this system will work well for you. The software in general is good, and the email building is superior to anything else I have used, however, the functionality is limited compared to other marketing automation software, and the price is similar.

Cons: Pardot does not have a robust blogging platform that tracks your key word rankings like other marketing automation software of similiar cost. In addition, it does not optimize email sending times and days based on your past performance. And there is no social media integration.

Pros: I like that I am able to customize a different layout templates to fit whatever needs we have. I can make a landing page look however we want!

Pros: I've looked at several vendors to set up an email drip campaigns, that also are integrated with our Salesforce CRM. The problem I faced is that our sales reps couldn't launch drip campaigns to prospects by just clicking a button. Pardot solved exactly that problem, b/c it 2-way syncs with the Salesforce CRM. My reps loved it b/c now a prospect could be getting multiple personalized (!) emails from their rep with just one click in the Salesforce CRM

Cons: I am really a big fan of Pardot, but the landing page builder is bad. Pardot is build for emails and the landing page builder is just not good enough to use it.

Overall: 2 way sync with Salesforce CRM

If you have a choice, look elsewhere.

Pros: Has most of the basic features you need for marketing automation. Plugs into SFDC pretty nicely. Can teach yourself the system by just playing around.

Cons: Customer support is non-existent. Nickel and dime you based on prospects in your database. The product is not user-friendly compared to the other products that are popping up on the scene, especially for a lot less money. Their new "help center" is a mess.

Overall: Not much other then the connection to Salesforce. That is the only true advantage I see at this point.

Pros: The ability to make marketing emails and landing page builder is good. The social media scheduling is convenient.

Cons: When we went through the Demo for Pardot, we were promised the world and delivered a headache. Their SEO tool doesn't work, the social media scheduling doesn't tell you your optimal time to post and the everything is very confusing to set up.

Pros: The ease in compiling already coded html and sending to a distribution list; the testing options, and rendering accuracy.

Cons: The difficulty in creating an email from scratch within the software or editing an email within the software. Editing text is fine, or switching an image, but changing layout is incredible difficult and I wind up copying and pasting the html into an editor like Dreamweaver, adjusting, and then pasting back in which is inefficient.

Pros: Pardot is very easy to use. From setting up automation rules and completion actions to creating emails, I think every feature is simple and straightforward, and still allows you a lot of functionality.

Cons: The worst part of Pardot is the reporting and the connection with Salesforce. There is no simple way to sync Pardot reports to Salesforce. You either need to manually import data from one place to the other (which isn't real time, of course) or you have to setup campaigns in Salesforce, and send information from Pardot that way; then, create reports in Salesforce from those campaigns. However, I've heard the Fall 2018 update will address this issue.

Pros: It's so easy to create visually-exciting emails in Pardot, with all the editing tools you need. Importing prospects and creating lists is simple and quick. Email reports are insightful and help me easily keep track of email marketing performance. Organise and track multiple campaigns at once.

Cons: Video embedding seems to not work properly. Otherwise, I've not encountered any significant issues with Pardot's interface.

Overall: I was able to track a sales lead from point of entry (email marketing), through their activity on our website downloading ebooks, to a product demonstration and eventually a closed deal. Perfect example of tracking the marketing journey from beginning to end.

Pros: Pardot offers a lot of functionality for a relatively small price tag. Some of it is even free, and for things that you'd often pay quite a bit of money for at other services. There are a lot of integrations with Pardot that make it useful for a wide range of scenarios. Email templates are pretty nice. Form automation is simple to configure and offer a lot of features.

Cons: If you want to do something outside of what the system offers, it's very difficult or impossible (that being said, the system offers a lot of customization options out of the box).

Pros: Due to the transparency we have in our work culture i could talk the marketing team to give this product a try and so far so good. Finding leads has become a pretty vivid job now and scoring criteria based on opening an email or clicks on it the best leads come our way. Focus has increased. Hopefully i get a huge appreciation due to this.

Cons: I am not sure about how the campaigns are gonna be created hence forth (if need be they will find another software for that). But as compared to others, they liked what they saw until now. Not much in negative as of now.

Pros:
This tool offers several solutions, but the most outstanding is the one that concerns the analytics carried out in B2B marketing.
In addition to the web service, it has a mobile application that will allow you to manage and cultivate your leads in an optimal way. In this way, you will make more successful deliveries and with greater guarantees that will surely fit in your audience.
Another service offered is the ability to connect with your users and customers no matter where you are. This will allow you to make faster decisions and thus ultimately increase ROI in your marketing campaigns.

Cons: The prospect details page could be a little more simplified. I find that it can overwhelm you with information that might not apply to the prospect.

Pros: Pardot is very easy to use for the most basic purposes such as sending out emails and generating lists using metadata from both your Pardot and Salesforce database. Tracking peoples journeys along your website is also a plus.

Cons: The software is limited vs Hubspot and other competitors. Reporting is not as robust and integration with Salesforce (the confusing 'Pardot Campaign' vs 'Salesforce Campaign' for example) can be frustrating. Do not expect to be able to get the level of website analytics you do in Google Analytics or the tracking ability available in Hubspot.

Cons: They market this as being a program a non-developer/designer could use, which is probably technically true, but you would not be getting the full value from it without someone with at least basic HTML/CSS knowledge. The templates that are included with the program are not very engaging and most of them are not mobile responsive. This took our company a LOT of time to figure out how to implement. The documentation is extensive but sometimes hard to comb through. Your best bet is getting on with the office hours so they can point you to the right article.

Overall: This software has allowed us to add marketing automation to our own internal marketing where we had none before.

Pros: I like the attribution and integration with Salesforce. It gives powerful insights across campaigns and ties it to individual contacts in Salesforce.

Cons: It's interface is super hard to use. For a small marketing team of 4, it became a burden. We were spending a lot of time to find even simple functionalities like landing page creation. It was frustrating to the point of us cancelling the account sometimes.

Pros: I'm most familiar with the email, landing page, and form features of pardot. If you're a basic user, with no interest on heavily customizing things it works well. There a ton of preset templates and documentation to walk you through all of the features.

Cons: If you're a designer or developer and you want things to be laid out differently than the preset templates you will have some difficulty finding documentation. I had to rely heavily on blogs to figure out how to customize the layout of the landing pages. Also, writing code for emails and inserting it into the templates for testing is a pain. It usually ends up taking 20 minutes just to receive a test when other email testing services could be down in a minutes tops.

Overall: Ease of use for my team members that do not know how to code requiring me to have less hands on time once the initial templates were made.

Pros: Salesforce obviously saw something in Pardot, and bought it for good reason. The bones of a great product are there, and there are some great, easy to use features for new companies with no prior marketing experience.

Cons: Salesforce seems to have forgotten about Pardot. They've updated the interface slightly, but have done the bare minimum to integrate it with the rest of the Salesforce platform. Support is lacklustre at best, often times giving nonsensical or incorrect answers.

Overall: Confirmation that we were using the wrong product, and to choose any other marketing software.

Pros: Total visibility over user journeys, simple templating, full customisation and more - Pardot is a software power tool. Drip campaigns are customisable to an extent that I've not fully tapped into, and it syncs so easily with our advertising data.

Cons: Can be bulky and hard to manoeuvre - setup and implementation can either take time or cost a lot - beware Salesforce partners, their fees are extortionate.

Pros: The integration with Salesforce is its best feature, and my sales team has really enjoyed the real-time updates provided by LeadDeck so they can strike while the iron is hot.

Cons: Don't try to implement Pardot without an expert or agency. Customer services isn't great and the set up process wasn't intuitive. You'll also want to get someone to cutom design landing pages and emails, because the out-of-the-box templates aren't great, and really difficult to edit if you're not a developer.

Comments: Really helped us maximize our SF investment by deploying Pardot company-wide into Sales Ops, Accounts Receivable, Project Management, and more. We used Pardot and Sales Cloud to create EZ-AR¿ an automated AR service that requests invoices until they are paid, cutting DSO up to 50%.

Pros: Sync to Salesforce - unlike no other Marketing Automation System. Ease of use and navigation. Easy campaign management

Pros: The UI is fantastic and super intuitive. Feels good to use, which is important as we use this daily.

Cons: Implementation was cookie-cutter and conducted by a Third Party, which didn't take into consideration any of our business processes. As a result, we lost the ability to fully automate a large portion of the platform. Support is the absolute worst. Their live in-app chat has now disappeared completely, but even before this it was impossible to reach anyone or get a decent answer regarding most problems. Forget about their Knowledgebase, as you need to buy a separate Salesforce licence to access it. Warning: If you're buying this, you will NEED a technical front end developer to integrate it properly into your website, design forms to match, build email templates and landing pages. You COULD use their stock templates, but they're not device responsive and are super bland.

Cons: The steps to create a campaign are just not obvious and once you do create a campaign, execution is not obvious either. The template edit feature is really inane. You have to click on the left to edit on the right. Really dumb. Scheduling is not easy either. Support is so bad!

Pros: This can be a good tool to use for automation as you can import contacts and add them to lists and drips fairly easily. It's also good for integrating with custom forms and landing pages and you can create custom campaigns, links etc. High level, it really helps connect everything together from the first visit (including the pages they viewed) and every subsequent touchpoint from then on (but reporting on this falls into the "Cons").

Cons: Pardot is a difficult tool to set up and manage and their support through the process is quite limited. Their chat seems to fill up by 9 am, and although they offer courses to train you how to use their product, they charge for it. Although it is a powerful tool, their reporting capabilities are very behind, and while they capture every touchpoint, there is no way to roll up that data to gather insights or report on it.

Pros: Ease of use, intuitive design, excellent (and abundant) reporting features, several tiers of customer support and a thorough knowledge base, communicates incredibly well with Salesforce (naturally) and is chock-full of helpful and user-friendly templates and creation wizards that make each element flow unto each other, all with a set of very prudent organizational tools!

Cons: I really don't have much to say in the way of cons - it was a learning curve getting started, but coming from a rather mundane marketing background with little experience in such a complicated software, it was honestly relatively easy to pick up, particularly when partnered with an implementation expert!

Comments: We've been using Pardot for years to manage emails and landing pages, but once we added Salesforce, we saw a dramatic increase in Pardot's usefulness. Having the ability to score prospects' interactions on the web and easily hand off warmed up leads has made a real impact.

Pros: - Once you have solid templates built, creating new emails and landing pages is very fast - Integration with Salesforce is solid, no issues with data sync in either direction - Automation rules (especially b/t Salesforce and Pardot) can take care of a lot of mundane tasks without needing to remember to do them

Cons: - Getting started with the Program can be tough because there is so much it can do - Reporting on data can be difficult to figure out. Not on a per-email basis, but rather on Campaign-level performance. There seem to be multiple places to get information and they don't always match up. - Landing page templates are not responsive. Seriously! You have to have a web designer built and import them to be useful

Cons: The landing page and email builders are a joke, one of the worst in the industry. To do anything decent, you'll need a talented web developer. There's just so many solutions on the market that blow Pardot out of the water in this area. The form builder is better than the landing page builder, but nothing to brag about. The drip campaign builder is powerful, but a user experience nightmare.

Comments: Pardot's just great overall, every tool has a grace period of learning and individualizing the use - you can't always read a KB article and have things humming, you have to hit the dirt face first a few times, show some humility, not break the law and find your fit with how you use it most effectively.

Pros: Once you understand the areas of Pardot and how affective they are throughout the areas of your marketing efforts and establish a synergy it's a great tool that's used frequently to solve and offload processes from other, potentially costly systems.

Cons: My con is a con that anyone would have, it's a different UI, capabilities are different in some contexts, and it really just takes a matter of time to feel it out and get comfortable with. If time is that bad of a con, than we'd all have a bad wrap. I do with their integrations were a bit long but with most things going to Salesforce and Pardot having a bond with it, we can solve things through that channel.

Horrible product, customer support, and contract.

Pros: We have fully implemented Pardot into our sales and marketing teams. We use everything from landing pages, forms, custom redirects, email templates, email automation, and their gmail plugin. It does¿t meet our sales and marketing requirements.

Cons: In less than one year we have opened 42 support tickets with Pardot. Many with no resolution. After determining that the product simply doesn't work we are transitioning to their competitors. Pardot is still forcing us to pay licensing fees even though their product failed to function. Do not use.

Stand Out Issues:
- The Gmail plugin simply doesn't work. Activity is not consistently logged in SalesForce. We have reported the technical issue many times to their support.
- They cap uploaded assets (Ex: images) at 100 MB storage. This is ridiculous. When we hit the cap they wanted to charge us 4K to increase storage.
- Poor reporting on emails:
* Missing data on 1:1 emails. Direct emails sent via the Gmail plug-in.
* CTR doesn¿t show for under 1% in engagement studio > Requires us to click down into each email template to pull report and export details to do a side by side comparison
* There are no reports generated for engagement studio (only drip programs - old feature now retired)
- Can't track replies on emails > can¿t gauge performance
- Recurring issues with Engage in Gmail and Engage Alerts (holds up the sales team from their day-to-day tasks)
- Poor UX in Engage via gmail for sales team (cannot organize 1:1 templates by folder)
- Limited on engage logic, can only use prospect fields. We can't use opportunity or account data in automation.

Pros: To be 100% honest, the only pro to this service is that fact that it can get the job done other than that, it's nothin you can't find elsewhere; perhaps simpler. The program has potential but lacks provisions.

Cons: The software is not user friendly , when working with a team of 20-30 people ; with varying degrees of tech awareness, it makes using a service like such incredibly difficult . Additionally I feel the program needs to revamp its approach.

Pros: I like the engagement studio, and the overall general features of Pardot. The user interface is very good.

Cons: It's missing some key features that Hubspot has - or has very pared down versions of those features.

Overall: It's a great marketing automation platform. I think it's probably truly amazing for people who use Salesforce because you'd have a full integration. For me, it's the second best platform I've used - Hubspot has some standout features that work for me that Pardot's missing. But overall, this is a great product that's relatively easy to use (as marketing automation platforms go), and it should definitely make anyone's short list.

Comments: There is so much to learn. I have two employees earning badges working toward certification. I need a better understanding of some of the products like Lightning. Google analytics

Pros: Managing drip campaigns and the ability to consistently market to large groups of leads and PROSPECTS is great.

Cons: I wish salesforce emails had the same functionality as engage emails. I like using engage alerts but I do not have that in salesforce. I have created dynamic templates for delivering content but in salesforce not pardot.

Pros: Pardot automated the prospect warming process. We've set it up to respond to quotes, alert internal staff and add them to a mailing list. The mailing list is the automated and changes based on their actions. Eg. if they enquire about product A in a week we send a follow up email about product A. If they click a link in the email we send them a second follow up the next day. If they didn't open the email then we send them an email about product B a week later.

Cons: The biggest drawback is Pardot works best with Salesforce. We have salesforce and it's great but for people without salesforce it might be an added expense.

Pros: If a great lead automation system wasn't good enough as it is, try adding that to a CRM that is pioneering the industry. Pardot packs all the power of the SFDC platform into a lead automation platform.

Cons: The user experience matches Salesforce and can be a little stale. The ability to customize screens and pages with point and click tech would be nice.

Pros: The tool has a lot of capabilities, it's nice that it's a Salesforce product. The drip functionality was just was just upgraded and improved, I think that helped its usability.

Cons: It's very cumbersome and not at all intuitive. I would not recommend this as a first automation tool for teams just dipping their toe into it.

Comments: Pardot is reliable and easy to use, and has helped our organization objectively measure return on investment in marketing automation. I can say with certainty that last year 50% of the net new revenue opportunities we won were tied to marketing automation via Pardot. I only need support from Pardot's customer service team about once per year, but when I do, they are friendly, helpful, and efficient in their responses.

Pros: Easy to Use Easy to Train On Pardot makes it easy to measure a return on investing in marketing automation. The tool is reliable and performant, and the Pardot team's customer service is outstanding.

Cons: The Client Advocate email domain was terrific -quick and helpful customer support for usage-related questions. I'll be very sad to see this deprecated and replaced with the success community.

Pros: email marketing templates are helpful and time-saving

Cons: emails end up in spam folders much too often; cannot say with confidence that it is worth the money.

Overall: I have used Pardot for several years, but it stills leaves some to be desired. While the distinctions are clear, it doesn't seem to offer a marked advantage over free email clients, especially for a SMB.

Recommendations to other buyers: improve baseline functionality to the point that it has a clear advantage over free solutions on the market.

Comments: We have the Pardot integration with Salesforce. Our marketing team uploads marketing material into our client base. I'm able to send out selective collateral to specific personal versus just blasting everyone in a customer account. We have different messages so using the Pardot integration makes it easy to send the document to that person as an email versus as an attachment. Our marketing team also sends out by monthly material as well to a define target of clients.

Pros: Great for knowing that clients are interested.

Cons: A high pardot score does not always mean they are very interested in your product.

Overall: Pardot will score a prospect on the level of engagement they have with your website. The higher a prospect scores, it's more likely that they are interested in your product. Makes it easy to know when to reach out to older prospects.

Comments: Love working in it daily!

Pros: If your sales team has a high volume of leads/contacts (1million+) Pardot has an awesome feature call Engage Alerts which will help your sales reps filter out prospects/clients with the most activity in real-time. Especially, good when an email campaign goes out.

Cons: You need to setup your campaigns the right way, the first time. If you don't, it's hard to go back and restructure.

Comments: Pardot has a lot of base functionality that sets it apart from email platforms like Mailchimp and the like. It also provides better integration with Salesforce than hubspot and other less expensive CRMs to give your organization with a complete picture of the sales funnel. Pardot provides email templates upon sign-up that are easily customizable for specific needs. You can test this emails to internal lists and with its integration with Litmus you can view how different clients and platforms will render you email before sends. Landing pages and form are an easy way to collect leads, track conversion points, and keep the source of a lead. Forms enable you to send auto-response emails, notify teams or sales reps, and assign leads to the correct person. The can also send leads to a Salesforce campaign with detailed member statuses to provide for multi-touch attribution. Landing pages are easy to build, add Google analytics or any other tracking code and deploy. Automation rules allow you to keep your database clean and ensure that all prospects are going to the right place, tagged correctly, and scored appropriately. Dynamic content is an excellent investment as an add on to allow you to use one template but change messaging based on known prospect information. No need to create 5 different emails or landing pages for industry segments, just create on template and use the dynamic content feature to show messaging that applies to them.

Pros: Intuitive UI, great functionality for the price, native integration with Salesforce, dynamic content add-on. Automation rules that can help keep the system clean and prospects updated.

Cons: Limitations within automation rules for mutli-variable updates. For example - Loading a tradeshow list with campaign member statuses in SFDC. I would like to upload in one automation rule to say if X campaign status, update to this campaign in SFDC for X status, within the same rule I would like to add all of the other statuses with specific completion actions instead of having to run 1 rule for each status. Dynamic content should be able to trigger via a URL parameter and not just a known prospect field.
