We have been using FareHarbor for almost one year now and we are very pleased with how it has improved our bookings and reservation processing. David Rex has been outstanding in his local (here in Hawaii) support and assistance from the very beginning. FareHarbor has significantly improved our cashflow and management of our customer reservations. We really like the no-fee model that FareHarbor uses for the service provider - we do not pay ANY fees to FareHarbor (other than a very reasonable credit card processing fee (1.9%) for payments). We are excited to continue to use FareHarbor and implement new capabilities and features as they are released.

Pros

1\. Easy to integrate into your website 2. Very good Customer Support 3. Easy to use by customers booking your services 4. Seemless payment processing 5. Very good communication (email) to the customer; Confirmation email, reminder email, thank you email, rebooking email, cancellation email, etc...

Cons

1\. Very poor Help available for the software - you need to call Customer Support. 2. Very poor Reporting capability - not flexible and not standard reporting 3. Financial posting difficult - not easy to take payments and post to your financial system with proper tax, fee, gross breakdowns

### "I can's say enough about Fare Harbor"

People had to call to book before and I think I lost a lot of clients because of this. Now they can just browse and buy

Pros

There are so many things to like about this software. 1. No out of pocket expenses. Taking a booking fee gives FH an incentive to help you make more money. At first I was leery about charging the booking fee to my clients, but no one have complained about it (or frankly even noticed). 2. Ease of use (and when it's not, customer service will do it for you)! 3. Works on phone, not an app, but with a mobile browser which work great. Not sure I need an app, most of my work is on a laptop anyway. 4. Customer service is always on and ready to help and quick to get done what you need. 5. Putting it online was seamless and pretty easy. I got out of the box with the basics and was able to add on as I went! 6. Feedback from my clients about the simplicity of the check out process. Like I said, so many great things! So happy with my decision.

Cons

Nothing so far! I may find some as I grow, but at this time none!

Reason for choosing FareHarbor

The biggest reason I went with FareHarbor was the no up front fees. I'm a small (new) business and Thryve was my other top choice, but they wanted $800-$1200 per year! My revenue is only a few grand per year right now, so that was a deal breaker!

### "Superb Customer Support."

I used Fareharbor for the past two years and looked into several other options in order to soak some of the booking fee within the business rather than the customer paying it all. We decided that if we were to have to pay for the system, our prices would need to rise so the customer would obviously end up paying no matter what.

Pros

Incredible 24 hour support enables any issues or queries you have to be handled quickly and proficiently.

Cons

I feel that the booking fee of 6% charged directly to the customer would be fairer at 4% with the turnover we have.

it's complicated for non-computers, but fareHarbor's support always helps and makes everything very simple

Cons

when sharing a product, instead of showing the main photo of that product, a FareHarbor logo appears and this is not appealing for the sale

Our sales increased opening online shop with FareHarbor, and our team learned a lot from professionals working in support team - they are always very fast to solve the problems and do changes we request. We even did review data from the website together. We are very satisfied with everything related to this software and the team working behind.

Pros

Software is very easy to use for anyone - experienced with different platforms and for the beginners. Support team is very professional and replies with no time. It has all the features company might need.

Cons

We do receive some complains from our customers about extra fee using FareHarbor, but that has nothing to do with the overall experience.

### "FareHarbor Changed Ticketing"

Pros

Every theater owner is unhappy with their ticketing software. It is expensive, doesn't do what you want and the company charges for licenses and customizing hours. You pay per ticket. They lock you in. Blah blah blah... all the bad things about software vendors. FareHarbor does it differently. They build you a website, give you free customer support, and don't charge you for your walk up, phone or comp business. THey do charge 6% of all online sales which is high, but I love this new model!

Cons

You can tell it was built for activities operators first. Minor complaint.

Fareharbor provides excellent customer service on top of an incredible online reservation system for tour operators or services in the tourism industry with NO MONTHLY FEES. The online "back office" is easy to understand, as one can access it in month or daily views, specify those activities and other features one wants to see, and allows for bookings by telephone, in-store, by affiliates, or online. The Fareharbor team is innovative and continuously working to add new features to accommodate their clients' feature requests. Our team has made feature requests to accommodate international currencies and foreign languages, which we hope to see in the near future.

Pros

Cons

Needs development for international tour operators to accommodate the prices in foreign currencies, payouts to foreign bank accounts, and multi-lingual sites/booking process.

We implemented FH 1 year ago. Since then, we've seen a significant increase in online bookings, we're enjoying affiliate partner bookings at all hours of the day without any effort on our part, and we've also experienced improved processes internally because of all the features that FH has to offer from daily manifests, reporting and trackability.

Pros

We like most that we have control over our fleet inventories, what our online customers can see versus our staff, ease of use and the unmatched top-notch customer service and support. The customer support team is extremely responsive and helpful!

Cons

After using more than a handful of commonly used software in the state as an affiliate partner with relationships with many activity providers we've realized that there is not a software that has everything that the end user may envision (this is not a negative). FH is by far way ahead of the game. There may be minor features that you're used to seeing with your current software that may not exist. The good news is that if you send in a wish list email to the support team it will not be ignored. They will do all that they can to implement your ideas into the software. They have a team of programmers working tirelessly on improvements every day that customers bring to the table. I've seen many of our wish list items come through to fruition. I love this because our ideas matter. We have worked with software in the past that would just say, "sorry - it doesn't do that."

It is very user friendly, easy to understand! It helps me getting my bookings organised. I have a great understanding with my account manager Adinda who is always there to help. FareHarbor's training is excellent as is their helps desk/customer service. Also that do help me getting visible on the internet. Hight Recommended tool

Cons

The waiting line to build the SEO proven website , which is one of their services. As a small company it is difficult to get high in priority.

We wouldn't be able to offer tours without FareHarbor. We simply don't have the resources to have a full time booking agent to book and manage our tours.

Pros

It functions very well for its intended purpose, selling and managing tour bookings. It eliminates the need for a reservationist via online self-serve bookings and customer payment.

Cons

It's a bit confusing to get started, but it is fairly simple once you get the hang of it.

FareHarbor customer service is excellent to work with. I found them after a bad experience with another company several years ago. I foolishly decided to try another company this year and was back to Fareharbor within a week.

Pros

Ease of use. It has taken away 95% of the need for me to have customer interaction before, during or after making a booking. This frees up my time to give proper attention to the clients I am working with at the time. There are still a few potential clients that need a question or two answered before booking and even one or two who will need their hands held through the whole process. But overall, it has mad my life much simpler.

Cons

Customer receipt shows partial deposit as a negative number causing confusion and awkward interaction with customer at time of check out!

### "Full Featured Booking"

Our team has been very satisfied with Fareharbor. It has reduced our amount of manual bookings drastically while increasing website conversion-- WIN, WIN!

Pros

Fareharbor can handle just about any booking system you could throw at it and the support is fantastic! They'll even create your items/availabilities, integrate into your website, and even build you a website! Our facility has many different booking situations with varying pricing structures, availability, etc. and Fareharbor has handles it with ease. The user-side interface is great-- conversions have increased considerably.

Cons

Daily manifests and itemized booking looks more complicated than it should. It's definitely intimidating for our newer users. It's not difficult to use by any means, but you would be able to tell by just looking at the daily reports.

### "Game changer for my SUP rental business"

Pros

Fareharbor makes it easy to run my sidegig stand up paddle board business with minimal effort. I can manage bookings, plan sessions, communicate with customers all from my phone. One of the great elements is the phone app and the website version are almost identical - so many apps are just a shell of the features online.

Cons

honestly I cant really think of any negative aspects of this program. Its truly been a gamechanger from the previous software we were using for booking.

Cons

Initially I had trouble navigating, creating and downloading the standard, custom, and advanced reports. However, after using the product regularly this has improved greatly

I am completely satisfied and will always want to use FareHarbor. Whoever created this system of booking , knew a lot about the customers and also what needs to be addressed with problems. An easy call or an email makes it easy as well.

Pros

The whole system is awesome!! We are able to submit tickets to the Customer Support and have them entailed right in the items.

Cons

Not really much! Just had a hard time putting a time slot in without doubling or tripling it on one day. Was an easy fix .

### "Does not preserve ticket purchases during the check-out (cart) phase"

Easy to use, quick response time, can handle large user volume.

Cons

Tried to book Niles Canyon Train of Lights. The cart accepted my purchase of 10 tickets. Entered my credit card information to complete the purchase (maybe 1 minute to do that step). Fareharbor "said" purchase could not be done. It would not longer accept my ticket purchase, and then the train was sold out. FareHarbor failed to hold onto my ticket purchase, during the purchase phase. Very poor!

Reliable, professional, honest. Every question is answered. Every promise fulfilled. What more is there?

Pros

The Fareharbor software has freed me to get back to doing what makes my company great and puts the entire back office functions at my finger tips: booking, assigning roles, servicing my clients, and ensuring my reporting is clear and easy to follow has gone from consuming most of my time to becoming a second thought. I have an entire staff in my pocket and the support and training from FareHarbor are always there when I have a question.

Cons

I would like to be able to send more automatic mails than currently possible. That's it.

Overall 5 stars. Our company is working daily in Fareharbor and we have all our staff team of more than 20 people using it plus the external sales plataforms fully integrated such as Get Your Guide, Viator, Civitatis and many more.

Pros

Easy on-boarding process, its functionality and quick set up in general.

Cons

There are a aspects that constantly requires the intervention of the support team which is always a bit time consuming for changes that requires some urgency.

Excellent. Really glad that I made the change

Pros

With very little practice one quickly gets used to the calendar and all functions related to new or modified bookings. The reports are easy to access and the content is valid. The ability to save a portion of each payment to cover refunds is especially useful. Probably the best thing about Fareharbor is the absolutely fantastic support. When you need to do or change something, all you need to do is ask and the support team will have it done very quickly

Cons

Some areas can be quite complex, but because the support team are so good, when you need to do anything you simply ask and it is done for you.

Pros

Absolutely love Fareharbor. The team is incredible, their customer support is like nothing I've ever experienced. They are there for you 24/7. They help integrate the dashboard which saves a huge amount of time and headache. They give you the ability to add affiliates and partner with other companies which make online reservations so much easier.

Cons

The mobile app definitely needs some improvement. I find it easier to use the website over the mobile app.
