### "One solution for all the ticket management needs"

Because human error caused many friction with our attendees we looked for a solution to make the process easier for all the parts, I'm happy to say that yapsody was out first attempt because of features vs price but once implemented everything clicked in place, we didn't needed to search for anything else as yapsody covered all the needs of our venue

Pros

Yapsody is a one stop suite where all the ticket management needs are covered, when integrating yapsody to an ever expanding event workflow everything clicked together, training for the staff was easy and concise as yapsody is really easy to use on any front. All in all is really surpasses the money to features value and makes easy for us to manage people and for the attendees is a fast and reliable way to get their tickets

Cons

While yapsody is an all in one solution the web part is very basic so it's better to use the excellent integration with other services

Reason for choosing Yapsody

We found yapsody free at first and only tried it. It was excellent for our needs so we didn't searched for anything else

### "Great Ticketing System"

We needed to find a new system for handling ticketing for our spring musical. We wanted to allow patrons to select their seats. Flexible pricing and discount options were also a must. I researched at least a dozen different options, and landed on Yapsody because it had the features we wanted but fit well into our non-profit's limited budget for a ticketing solution. We have been with them ever since, and have expanded our use of their services beyond the annual musical. During the pandemic, I made a feature request, and while it wasn't ready in time for the musical that year, they implemented the request and it is now available to everyone, so we'll be ready if social distancing is needed again in the future. They really seem to care about their customers and in making sure their product fits our needs.

Pros

The product is easy to use with powerful features, including reporting features, and managing discounts and holds. I appreciate the discount system for frequent users and our non-profit organization. With a 400+ seat auditorium, creating and managing the seat maps is one of our favorite features. Patrons have also commented on how easy it is for them to buy tickets. Have also had great experiences with customer service when I needed help with something.

Cons

I wish they offered a way to help discourage leaving "orphaned" seats for reserved seating events. This is by no means a deal breaker, however.

### "Easy to use Ticketing Platform"

I've had nothing but amazing experiences with Yapsody - with the website, the admin pages, and tech support.

Pros

I love that Yapsody is easy to use on both ends - setup/administration and end-user. Setting up a new event takes only minutes since I can just copy a previous event and make the minor changes.

Cons

The ONLY feature I wish Yapsody had was the ability of the end-user (or an admin) to exchange tickets within an event. For example, if an audience member purchases tickets for a show on Friday but would like to exchange them for the same event on Saturday... right now they have to go through the event admin who has to cancel/refund the friday tickets and instruct the end-user to purchase Saturday tickets.

### "The only choice for non-profit events"

By being able to conduct all ticket sales online and having funds deposited directly into the client account, it felt safe for me and for my client. Being able to collect information from ticket purchasers about where they heard about the event will enable us to focus our advertising next year. Being able to send emails to all ticket purchasers prior to the event with information was really valuable. Their customer service is over-the-top with a live chat feature and excellent documentation. I was blown away by now responsive they were in helping me figure a few things out.

Pros

The fee charged for tickets for non -profits was one of the lowest I could find. When your goal is to raise money for a worthy cause, that fee is really important.

Cons

The interface wasn't as intuitive for customizing font size, layout for the ticket.

### "Decent Product"

I was successful and it worked, but it could have been better and easier to use. I had to use the "Chat" feature many times to understand how the Yapsody system worked. The "Help" page was hard to find. I prefer the ticket event company features of Eventbrite, TicketLeap, or Brown Paper Tickets.

Pros

Ticket sale money goes straight to your company. You don't have to worry about not getting paid.

Cons

Having to use your own credit card payment vendor (i.e. PayPal). I want to pass on the credit card vendor costs (around 3%) to the patron/customer, but that means having to raise the base ticket price and I don't want to do that. The Yapsody app installed on a smartphone to scan tickets is not as user friendly as Eventbrite. The Eventbrite ticket scanning app was easier to use and provided more important detail than the Yapsody app.

Reason for choosing Yapsody

Just to give it a try. I knew the ticketing fees would be lower for our patron customers, but also realized I would be paying 3% for credit card processing, instead of passing it along to the patron customer.

### "Good app with decent features, but needs less complex user interface. "

Overall experience was good.

Pros

Multiple staff members logged in at same time and setting client details as they checked in was very helpful.

Cons

The whole product needs to go through a usability lab and follow the resulting recommendations. User interface is complicated. I personally wish the interface was more hierarchical, but overall rework of browser interface would certainly help.

Fantastic!

Pros

Hitchin Band runs a series of events that are targeted at different audiences of all ages. The Yapsody box office system is easily adaptable to our specific needs from one event to another. It does exactly what we need it to do. Stylish and effective customer interface, great customer payment options, simple and easy to user experience. We also enjoy the benefit of being able to market future events through current tickets and link to other services such as mail chimp to increase customer engagement. We also love the Yapstats and Yapacan apps. Ticket scanning has become essential for our family events where we run three shows back to back with limited time to reset the venue before opening the doors to let audience in. It is also important to mention the excellent customer service provided by Yapsody to ourselves and to our own customers.

Cons

It would be great to see improvements to the range and flexibility of reports produced.

Reason for choosing Yapsody

We felt that Yapsody was a better all round package compared to Eventbrite which was more expensive.

### "Great ticketing option"

I really enjoyed using yapsody to help run my events. It simplified the ticketing system we used and was easy to customise and integrate with our mailing list. The design of the interface is modern but simple - as most of our event-goers are over 50, this was an important benefit of yapsody, as it meant most users could work out how to buy tickets easily.

Pros

I was able to integrate it with my Mailchimp mailing list easily, which I can't say the same for other ticketing systems I have used.

Cons

While I was using it, the price increased. It reached a point where I felt I needed to find a more affordable alternative ticketing platform.

It is good when we are offering seasonal services such as walking tours during the summer. It saves time on administrative work at the company as Yapsody takes care of it.

Pros

It is great that the link can be shared onto social media pages, and put in on our website as well. This way customers are able to read about the service that we offer, view prices, and reserve a spot right there and pay a deposit as well. It helps with making sure we do not under or over-book our service.

Cons

Design may need to be updated. But other than it is fairly easy to use.

Pros

Yapsody has allowed us to save both time and money by implementing an e-ticket system over conventional printed tickets. During our first few months using Yapsody we saw a dramatic increase in ticket sales through users being able to purchase and receive their tickets on phones.

Cons

Setting up events can be a little clunky the first few times however once you've done it a few times its easy.

We sponsor group outings to MLB games. This product allows me to purchase the tickets for the group and then Collect the funds. It has done the job for me for a few years and I like it. I would like to be able to create some reports but for the most part, I can use what is provided.
