It syncs with Paylocity and has had no issues. Pros I like that it is very user friendly and fast to update changes. The system will sync and update usually within a day to reflect changes. Cons There have been times where I will update directly in Employee Navigator but the changes will not occur if you do not make them in CRM first. Pros I love that it feeds to and from other applications for benefits, which makes processes SO much easier. Cons I really have not come accross any issues with Employee Navigator. Both admins and users find it extremely easy to use. Pros Employee Navigator is a great system to track employee benefits. It connects directly to our payroll system and always has up-to-date, accurate information. It is easy for both the employees and the employer to use during open enrollment. All the benefits documents are easy to find and running enrollment reports are super easy. We even integrated Employee Navigator with Paylocity, which was super simple on both sides, and has served us well. Pros Employee Navigator is easy to use and I like how the homepage is laid out. It is especially helpful to see HR tasks listed right on the home screen, so it catches my attention when I log in. Cons We use Employee Navigator through American Health and Wellness, so I don't receive notifications directly; instead, they go to our benefits specialist at AHW. It saves us money by not including a benefits module in our HRIS system, and flows seamlessly between both systems. Open enrollment is very easy and my ACA reporting of 1095Cs only took me about 20 minutes to do. Pros Employee Navigator is an excellent benefits system. It is very easy to use, and makes benefits administration less complicated. Cons There are a couple of deduction codes that aren't able to feed over to my payroll system, and I have to manually update them. They are the employer paid codes. Review Source EC Emily C. We have used Employee Navigator for the past 3+ year and we are extremely happy with its functionality. As I previously stated, it has cut out a lot of the leg work for me and automated our benefits process which is a huge plus for us. Pros Employee Navigator makes our benefit process very easy. From new hire enrollments to open enrollment, it has cut out the leg work and made it so easy for these things to be completed on both the employee and employer end. It is integrated with our HRIS system, Paylocity, so it receives updates on things like name/address changes, new hires, and terminations and applies them in real time. It has automated a lot of the process that we used to do manually so it has also saved our company time and money! Cons The reporting functioning can be really hard to navigate if you don't know some of the terms that are being used for report names, or where to find specific reports. Review Source AO Amy O. I think it would be useful for a large company, but for a smaller 75-100 employee company I would rather keep control of the benefit administration rather than going through Employee Navigator. Pros It is a good tool for open enrollment and to view employee benefits eligibility dates and enrollments. Cons At times, information does not flow over correctly or things are not setup to our company specifications. We rely on our third party benefits administrator to setup open enrollments and benefit costs in Employee Navigator. At times, rates are not correct in Employee Navigator so the wrong deduction amounts are taken from employee paychecks. Review Source JH Jen H. The open enrollment is fairly straightforward Pros The ability to have information available to me in a relatively simplistic format. Nothing overly complex with navigating, not too many parent/child folders and tabs to bounce to and from Cons That it’s segregated from payroll. And when I think about benefits on whole, I’d like to see a better conductor with things like Paylocity to be able to look at things more holistically. Also love the notifications about onboarding, birthdays, etc. Lastly, it's great that my insurance broker can also work on things for me on the Employee Navigator. I would not have continued in my current role if we had not implemented Employee Navigator. The time it takes to complete an OE close out has been cut down from 1-2 days to less than an hour. I used to spend a week or more on ACA reporting for just one client. This year I completed the ACA reporting for 3 clients in less than an hour. Employee Navigator has made my work so much more efficient. Thank you! Pros The support we received when we first started building our clients on Employee Navigator was amazing. The builders were patient, knowledgeable and provided great instruction. The on-demand training is great for when we need to refer back to something or need to build something for the first time. Cons I often have trouble finding information on the Help Center, but it's probably user error. I can always reach out to the Support Center and a very helpful tech will send me the information I need. From the initial training to all of the available webinars and recordings to the support and the actual system itself, it is a well oiled machine! The bar has been set and I rarely use another system without expressing frustration that they don't have the options or setup that Employee Navigator does. Pros I love how easy Employee Navigator is to use. The system is very intuitive and able to calculate eligibility in a number of ways and account for a variety of unique circumstances. The enroller view looks just like the employee view and makes it easy for the enroller to see exactly what is being elected for only that specific new hire or open enrollment window. There is no guessing. The timeline tracks every action to an employee profile or election which makes it very easy to know exactly what happened and who was signed in to complete that action. Employee Navigator is constantly adding new partners for data integrations. Support is amazing. They are always friendly, helpful and responsive and if they aren't certain of an answer, they will work until they have an answer. The help pages are are easy to search and to understand and always link to other things that you might want or need to know about your topic. Employee Navigator is always a positive experience. Cons Because you have to be a premier user to call Support, there are times when I am working with another group and they can't specifically help me if I am not the premier user on that group. I understand why they have the premier users, but it would be great if they could still help me with the specific group as long as I am a premier user on another account.
