Kira Talent has helped us to get to know our applicants as people versus what we read about on paper. It has helped us see who may be best fit for our program. Pros I enjoy the ability to be able to holistically access our applicants to our graduate program by viewing their responses to certain interview questions. It brings the candidate to life when we can see their personality and how they react and adapt to interview questions versus reading about them on paper. Cons Sometimes we run into issues where the students have trouble recording their answers due to connectivity issues. I also wish there was an easier way to view the videos once submitted rather than having to look through the log of applicants to see which ones are newest. User friendly and if any of our applicants need assistance the support team responds quickly. I love how Kira notifies me of any updates or changes being made to the software. Especially, if I have particular questions or need help trouble shooting a problem, I get a response quickly. Cons There isn't anything I least like about the software. July 24, 2014 5.0 KiraTalent is a wonderful platform that we use daily and extensively in our hiring and qualification process. It is used to qualify large numbers of applicants quickly and conveniently. The features we use the most are the custom question banks and uploading our own video questions. The platform is beautiful and easy to use. We can create interviews quickly, and are able to invite candidates to answer questions immediately. The client support team is extremely helpful and quickly responsive to any issues, suggestions, problems, etc. They are always available with answers to any inquiries we have. Pros \- Easy to use user interface, very attractive and aesthetically pleasing - Client Support is extremely responsive and positive - Customization of interviews - Ability to upload own videos for branding purposes Cons \- A few applicants reported difficulty getting their webcam to work on the first try, and were unable to record their interviews. Cons Not much, just took some time to integrate their talent platform into my school's existing application system (Slate) because that platform had existing video technology and Slate didn't want to help input a third party video platform. The UI is friendly and it makes data searchers easier. Cons We have had some technical issues, especially with paying the videos as they can be hard to navigate, pause, move back and forward. This software has increased our admission process quality for interviews by allowing us to get a snapshot of the prospect before an official interview. It allows us to quickly screen a large number of candidates and ensure that we're only proceeding with the right ones who best fit our culture (ie spending less time with poor candidates, and spending greater time with high quality candidates). Kira is extremely easy to use and many of our candidates have echoed positive feedback about our hiring process largely thanks to Kira! I would definitely recommend it to any company managing numerous applicants. Pros Easy and quick way to review candidates prior to bringing them in for a full interview. Very simple and easy to use UI. Cons Some candidates may be slightly out of their comfort zone in a video interview format. May 4, 2018 5.0 Pros The Kira team has been so quick to help every time our team needs to make updates on the platform. They usually respond within just a few hours and deliver on requests just as quickly. They also respond quickly to applicants who reach out for help on the platform. The platform itself is very easy for both the applicant and our backend users. In just over a year with Kira, we have not had a single applicant who had an issue navigating the platform and completing the interview because it's so intuitive. Cons The main downside for our team is that we have international and other applicants who don't always have access to consistent internet. However, Kira's minimum bandwidth requirements are well within reason. The former Flash requirement used to be a huge downside (having to advise applicants to use Chrome wasn't ideal), but the switch to HTML5 takes care of that problem. Cons I wish there was a chat feature that allowed us to connect instantly with a rep although their response time is actually quite fast otherwise so we are still pretty satisfied! I also like that we can see the number of browser refreshes and all of the technical aspects. Cons I don't have any at this time to share. I guess we get students who tell us they have technical difficulties and we can't trouble shoot them on our own. It would be nice to be able to assist them at some level, if possible. I find that having this video interview is a great pre-screen for learning if we want to hear more from the candidate. I do find that completing the video itself is a bit of a barrier to applicants and most often we need to follow up frequently to encourage them to complete it. Pros The program was intuitive, easy to use from the perspective of the candidate and from the perspective of the person reviewing the videos. The practice session was very helpful and I felt that it prepped the candidates well for the recorded interview. Cons Organizing and sorting the completed videos isn't as intuitive. I don't see a way that I can quickly access only the videos that are relevant to my candidates from the home page. I have to click a few buttons in to get to a search screen. I'd like the reviews to automatically be sorted by job posting so I don't have to sort through them or keep track of all applicants names to see who mine are. The fact that there are very few distractions on the page when I'm looking at an applicant's video essay, along with a simplified rating protocol for reviewing my thoughts afterwards, makes it easier to focus on the actual content at hand. Cons Often times I would have trouble with the software within my Google Chrome browser. " August 7, 2014 5.0 While I admit to being a little skeptical of video interviewing initially, I was won over by Kira Talent. This tool allows us to screen candidates more thoroughly and in a time effective manner. It can also be a fun way to give candidates a sense of your company culture and a feel for what you're looking for. We've been using Kira for a few months now and we've made very successful hires using this as part of our hiring process. Kira's service is top notch and this is something that makes them stand out. They respond to emails and calls quickly and are always happy to answer questions, make suggestions, or walk you through anything you need help with. They're also great listeners -- as in, they truly value feedback from their clients and in our case, made changes based on that feedback. The team at Kira are a great bunch! I also love the writing component, as writing with good grammar, spelling and punctuation without having someone proof-read your content is less common that one would like. Cons The fact that it only allows a particular type of personality to shine through: extroverts and improvisers. More introverted, analytical candidates are at a disadvantage. Even though it is meant as a replacement for interviews, we use it as a replacement for Essays. In previous essays, people could present answers in any medium they liked. Wholeheartedly support this organization and it's vision and efforts. Pros Kira's platform is seamless. It's easy to access, use and it provides critical data points. The staff was incredibly responsive, helpful and invested in our success. I expected users to be intimidated by the process, but that was NOT at all the case. Rave reviews! Cons It's somewhat laborious to set up, but it's front-end heavy. Once you have your platform ready, it requires virtually no upkeep. Additionally, our client service manager helped us immensely, and was an absolute pleasure. Additionally, Kira helped us process a full implementation at three times the speed that they normally would, based on contractual holdups on our end. Stressful in the beginning but worth every minute.
