April 26, 2018 4.0 I think it's a great option for people when using video interviews to get a sense of applicants prior to the actual interview. Pros I really liked how easy the software was to use. The quality of the sound and video were excellent. Cons I initially had trouble watching the videos on Google Chrome, which is my preferred browser. I would have to resort to using Safari. " May 11, 2018 4.0 Pros The software is above average in terms of features and functionality and is easier to use than other systems I've tried. The best part about Kira is the excellent customer service. Their response time is super fast and they are always helpful with any troubleshooting. Cons We've had a handful of issues with integrating the software into our own CRM system. Other than that, Kira meets most of our needs. Makes it easy for us to video interview our candidates without much effort/coordination on our end. Cons For a while, I had trouble using the software in different browsers. Pros Although I'm fairly new to the program, I enjoy the layout of the program (the simple and easily digestible way it organizes information). Its rather user friendly and customer service has been great so far Cons There are times when the functionality of the software can get a bit temperamental. There is a note button I often try to select and rather than selecting the notes feature, it closes the entire video. This has happened on multiple occasions to myself and my colleagues. " April 26, 2018 3.0 Pros That the videos are lined up and easy to review and the questions for each video clearly displayed. Cons When I enter the website it is confusing as to while group I need to click on. Also, once i review a video I have to go back to the main page to search for the next. A search box on the video page would be helpful. The video lags significantly when I hit play and its very confusing to know whether to pause, wait or refresh the page. April 26, 2018 5.0 Fast online review of video recordings, easy to rate applicants, easy to assign files for review which makes our process more efficient. Pros We love that the software is easy to use for all parties (applicants and admission officers). As mentioned above, the uptime is critical for us. The feature that flags suspicious activity has been very helpful in several cases this past year. Cons I think that the software serves it's purpose well. Cons Viewing how many invitations you've sent all at once is difficult. Searching sometimes doesn't work at all. Sometimes the videos don't play. Could link directly from Slate to view relevant video. Cons Volume was often too low with no way to change. Comment feature requires reviewer to click a button to save comment (this was not immediately apparent) and doesn't provide any warning if about to close out without saving comments. Pros It's an intuitive software, which I appreciate. No training was required to navigate the platform. Cons I don't like the fact that it won't let you edit notes after submission. It would be great if KIRA could incorporate a similarity functionality to Facebook or LinkedIn, and allow users to edit their own notes. The customer service answered questions and problems quickly, and none of the candidates have experienced problems. We are much more confident admitting students than we were solely on the basis of their application Pros Ease and speed of reviewing candidates as well as the ability to far more accurately assess their ability to write than with a lengthy essay. Cons If a recipient lost an email, or it went to junk mail, it is difficult to resend the link. When I am reviewing data or as well seeking information on Kira it is easy to find being it is user friendly. Cons It usually only works with Safari and not Google Chrome on Macs. When trying to review videos unfortunately I am always travelling and as well moving from different office locations based of my seasonal events on campus. Being able to see a video and have complete control on the questions or the written responses saves a lot of time and gives me more confidence in moving forward with a candidate. Also very easy to edit on the go to change things. Cons Sometimes candiates are able to game the software, so they need to improve their security feature.
