I can see more personality than just written answers in screening. Cons THe complaints from the interviewee side. Super stressful, starts super quick. We might not get the best candidate of someone who isn't as tech friendly. It was also faster and easier for faculty to review the applications. Pros The software significantly cut down on the amount of time our faculty members had to spend reviewing applications. It was easy and straightforward for them to learn and use. Cons The software wasn't as customizable as we had originally hoped. There were some aspects we wanted to remove or hide to the students that we weren't able to do; however, the Kira Talent team helped as much as they could. It would be good to see improvements year over year. As an administrator, I haven't seen much change in three years. As a school that integrates Kira with Salesforce, improvements to API also need to be made. Pros Simple, easy-to-use for students Customer/Technical support for students is managed by Kira Cons Need more analytic capabilities to generate reviewer reports, ways to remind reviewers of outstanding reviews. We'll continue to use Kira and hopefully expand to other graduate programs. I have also been vocal with contacts in Industry about leveraging this tool for interviewing talented students for internships and entry-level roles. Pros I greatly appreciate the flexibility it offers our prospective students. Our application process is an important part of our students' experience with our program. The ability to tailor questions and ensure a quality process is critical. While not a dynamic conversation we find our applicants to be exceptionally candid. We're readily able to gain valuable insight on their communication skills and motivations for attending our program. It's our first year using Kira and it's been a huge help! Cons So far, nothing. Effective Cons Once on a candidate page upon finishing review, no look-up for name to go to the next review and have to go back to the Applicant Listing and search for name again. More efficient if the name search bar is on every page. So much more can be sussed out by a video interview vs a resume or written application. Cons The scrubbing tools could be a bit better but other than that, Kira Talent is amazing. Director Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great Prodcut to assist with recruitment " July 22, 2019 5.0 Pros It allows you to get a sense of an individual before you meet them in person and it allows you to see a video of their verbal communications skills and then their written skills with a written assessment. It has been a crucial tool for my team to help with recruitment. Cons Sometimes candidates are able to game the platform to be able to review the questions and thus prepare in advance. Cons The analytics page could be a little more detailed- maybe including a search function so we can find a user more quickly instead of doing a manual search. January 29, 2019 4.0 Excellent customer service, especially with the live chat feature on their website. I've utilized it a few times and it's very handy. Additionally, the 24/7 tech help for applicants is also super convenient and helpful. I've also had the opportunity to be involved in the creation of a new program and manged the recording process and sending the script and recordings to Kira. Pretty seamless process. The reps are super helpful to work with. Pros It is very easy to use and navigate in terms of setting up, recording, accessing, and reviewing recordings. Cons The inability to batch assign specific applicants to reviewers. Currently the batch assignment is only for randomized applications. May 1, 2018 5.0 Pros I have been using the Kira Talent platform for just over a year and find it very easy to use when reviewing candidate's video interviews. The platform is very user-friendly and easy to navigate through. I would definitely recommend the software to anyone that wants to free up a bit of time when interviewing large number of candidates. Cons I haven't had a bad experience of the platform yet and neither have my colleagues - I know a couple of candidates often face technical issues, but I believe that's purely down to having an unsecure internet connection. Pros Easy to navigate, clear assessment rubrics, very responsive client support and applicant technical support. Cons Lacks integration with other admissions tools, lacks functions to reduce assessor bias, applicant's unique identifier in Kira is not consistent with the rest of our admissions process, no control over format/ content of exported data. The response (receipt of the Kira interview) is much quicker than a CD presentation being sent to us from overseas. Cons If you forget your password, it is sometimes confusing to get it back. If checking to see if someone started or submitted a KIra, I sometimes have to use different search names/address. Even as beginner, I was able to navigate it easily as well as teach others to use it. Cons The search key isn't very obvious. The complete video link doesn't always automatically populate in the CRM we use. However, I'm not sure if the error with KIRA or our CRM. Instead of judging based on resumes alone, these video interviews were a great supplement to get us down to a shorter list of candidates worth interviewing in person. Cons When I first started using the software a couple of years ago there were a few minor glitches, but I believe they've all been fixed. Cons The only issues we run into is certain browsers often give candidates issues in completing the interview. Usually trying a different browser clears up the issue, but it often give users issues. " May 1, 2018 4.0 This is much easier for staff since we can review interviews when it is more convenient for our schedules, especially with high international populations in different time zones. It's also more consistent across reviewers since questions (even rotating) are more focused on competencies we know they need to be successful in classroom. Pros Being able to review interviews on our own schedules and competency questions are more consistent across interviewers Cons It would be really helpful to have better search options; i.e., for individual applicants in all windows and also for reviewers. " May 1, 2018 5.0 The main benefit is the opportunity to "meet" more of our candidates. With large volume programmes this is sometimes hard and Kira Talent has given us the chance to know our candidates better before making a decision. Pros Easy to use (both for candidates and the staff watching the videos), good looking platform, but most importantly the software gives us the opportunity to "meet" more candidates from all around the world which has added a new dimension to our admissions process. Cons Cant think of anything which I would suggest an improvement on. At LBS we haven't experienced any significant issues with the software. The interface is extremely easy to navigate. Cons The sound quality of the videos varies so greatly, with some videos being very difficult to hear.
