### "ActiveTrak - When you want to really monitor your employees/workers remotely"

Very good overall experience. Easy to use, and install.

Pros

This lets you spy on their screen and see what they see. You can block out website from loading. For example: employees during working hours can't load Netflix. You can also monitor when their computer goes to sleep and when they are inactive.

Cons

One of the employees uses a MacBook Pro. When his iOS updates sometimes the permission setting of ActiveTrak need resetting.

### "Excellent Add-on to other tools "

Im able to quickly get what i need. The cost is reasonable. When needing assistance, someone is there to help. Not used reporting, but have been able to export a list of activities.

Pros

I like the most that it is easy to get what i need. Im able to share information with my executives. Can export out files if needed. Our team are able to track time productivity of end users.

Cons

i haven't navigated enough to know what not to like. I have plans this year to venture and user more of the software that it has to offer.

### "High License Fee Increases, Poor Customer Service & Cancellation Issues!"

Customer interactions with support and sales have been poor, almost robotic with canned responses on anything except when they're trying to get more money out of you with plan or feature upsells. The cancellation process is purposely designed to trap you in a yearly contract and make cancelling from the mandatory auto-renewal (no way to disable this) as difficult as possible jumping through hoops. The actual service has been disappointing with the amount of time it takes to maintain the product keeping agents working, classifying applications or websites, and sifting through the excessive amounts of data just to answer basic questions on worker activity.

Pros

The ability to detect "mouse clicker" activity monitoring cheating, category based alerts, and event based screenshots.

Cons

The rising licensing costs, along with the introduction of new features that are only available as paid add-ons rather than being included in existing plans, are frustrating. There is also an excessive amount of unnecessary data collected, seemingly just to create KPIs for 'performance' metrics, which feels like an attempt to justify pushing customers toward the higher-priced plan and added cost features. The service demands constant, high-touch maintenance, often requiring dedicated staff just to keep things running. The agent installations are generally unstable and frequently stop reporting. The cancellation process is particularly poor—clearly designed to be difficult, as you can't simply opt out of renewal or cancel through the same dashboard used for payments or upgrading your plan. While it's easy to increase your bill, reducing or canceling your service is made unnecessarily complicated.

When we used the product, it was decent. Also, the reports are good because in a snapshot, we can quickly see the productivity of the team

The dashboard shows each individual's productivity. This helped us quickly see across departments the work and focus of our employees

Cons

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! All they seem to care about is locking customers into auto renewal and charging for another full year, whether you are using the product or not. In my case, the business division using no longer existed, the service was no longer needed, and instead of working toward a reasonable resolution, they kept repeating the same contract language and avoided directly answering my questions. What frustrated me most was not just the invoice, it was the canned responses. I asked for the signed order form, the renewal details, and clear answers to specific billing questions. Instead, I got the same recycled explanation about notice periods. If you do business with ActivTrak, watch your renewal date very carefully, because once they renew you, do not expect much flexibility or a real conversation. My experience was that billing enforcement mattered a lot more than customer goodwill.

Pros

I like the ability to define a period and see the activity down to the a particular person and their activities within the systems. I also like the ability to export any report to EXCEL for further analysis. These tools assist me greatly in monitoring the productivity of my employees.

Cons

Using has been a learning process for myself. The learning curve for the supervisor has taken a bit.

I found the most value in 's ability to act as a protector of your team’s well-being, rather than just being a clock-watcher.

I find the software’s logic frustratingly narrow. is notoriously bad at distinguishing between someone staring at a screen because they are deeply analyzing a creative problem and someone who has simply walked away to get coffee.

Pros

It allows me to determine if workloads are evenly distributed as well as monitoring workloads to determine if we are overstaffed.

Cons

It is not connected to ADP. I have to closely monitor time off and remove that out of the data. It skews data and cannot be taken at face value.

Pros

I really liked the quick look at the email each week and then I could drill in more as I have time. The dashboards are easy to read as well.

Cons

I didn’t like how my team would show unproductive while on a Teams meeting. I like that my team isn’t multitasking on meetings but don’t want them to show unproductive.

Overall, the experience was just ok. It works really well for what we wanted to know about efficiency and workloads of our people. But after the price increase, it just wasn't a good option for us anymore so we are not using it at this time. But would again in the future if it makes sense.

Pros

It was really helpful for me to see what kinds of things people on my team were doing while they work and where we had people spending too much time using certain tools and programs.

Cons

The difficult part of using for us was that we had to send it out to all of our people to have them install in on their computers. It led to some issues with people feeling uncomfortable with being tracked and took a lot of time/conversations to get everybody on board with what we are trying to do.

It's a great tool, I recommend it. You can see the top websites that are being accessed at a company level. As well as insight on individuals. The graph is great because it gives you breakdowns for the day and week.

Pros

is a great tool, and shows accurate information. I like that it's in real time that you can view employees productivity.

The printable reports is lacking and could be better formatted.

Pros

Ability to track so many things, websites, utilization, productivity decline, high passive time. I am able to see whether the team is actively using tools provided for workflow. I can also verify if team members are using unauthorized websites such as social media sites.

My overall experience has been very good. I started using this software after covid. After the covid, when my employees started working remotely, I installed this software and now I get every detail of what they are doing on the system.

Pros

The best part of this software is you can setup the shift timing in which you want to monitor. You get all the details and activities done on the system within the shift timing and also get the detailed reports of it.

Cons

The pricing is a bit high as compared to other monitoring softwares but the functionality is worth the money.

Productivity is always hard to measure, but this software makes it easy to see what programs or websites are consuming or distracting from our work goals. I don't like to use it as a spy tool. I prefer to use it to troubleshoot areas for improvement. Or use the screenshots to see when an error or crash occurs to see the events that lead up to the software fail. This is a GREAT troubleshooter option, see what the station saw. Love that it can be accessed from remote seamlessly.

Pros

The easy interface and how easy it is to code applications and website as productive or non-productive. It gives a GREAT picture of the productivity of the workstations. I like that it can block websites as well with one caveat (see cons). I will say this blocker is 100% effective, where websites blocked by the router can be accessed using an alternate method. The Screenshots are helpful, not as a spy tool, but in determining errors when one of our programs is having trouble, we can see the error screen the operator saw through the screenshots. Great troubleshooting. Screenshots also let me assist the operator when I am in a remote location, I can see what they are asking and assist quicker than actually remoting into the workstation for minor questions. EVERY INTERACTION WITH THIS PROVIDER HAS BEEN MORE THAN EXCELLENT, and they are eager to help and take suggestions and criticism to assist or improve their already great product. You are not alone after you download or purchase. Another good feature is on the workstation the program runs in the background and is completely invisible to workstation, it doesn't slow the system down, nor cause the workstation any troubles.

Cons

When you block a website, it is always blocked. I would like to release the block during non-business hours. For instance, if my employees want to check their emails, Facebook, I have no problem with them doing this before work, after work or during lunch. I did load my work hours into the system, but tech support said right now it an "always" block. I don't want to have to come in and turn the blocks on and off manually. Other than that, this is the best program I have found.

We mostly use it to track the activities of problematic people, and help us prevent some incidentes and bad use of the computers and keep safe information of our customers.

Pros

It is a great way to see how your team spends their shifts, if you have problematic people you can see what they are doing by installing an invisible client, this way you can ensure that your equipment is not being missused.It has great reporting capabilities.

Cons

It sometimes does not updates as intended and it can be a bit problematic to delete the client if you want to be secretive.

Nightmare.

Pros

There is really are no pros to this software.

Cons

I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Good luck trying to cancel it when it does not work for you. I tried cancelling it and they wouldn't so I cancelled the card and now they are trying to send me a bill for a month I was not even using the software. Finally had to turn them over to our legal counsel today.

### "ActivTrak - Computer usage tracking solved"

Productivity monitoring is the main purpose the software has been used in my organization. It does this quite well. Based on computer usage statistics provided by , corporate firewall rules can be adjusted to address productivity concerns.

Pros

This software is very easy to use and very easy to configure. A very small agent can be installed without a trace, even to the technically savvy. The web-based console does a great job with reporting up-to-date computer usage statics as well as screen shots in real-time. It does exactly what it is designed to do - see and record computer usage. Usage statistics are broken down by application/category which is helpful in determining productivity.

Cons

There isn't much to dislike about the software as it does what it intends to do quite well. The only difficulty I have experienced is the removal of the agent when a system falls out of the scope of monitoring.

ease of use and the reporting functionality is great, especially the full audit log of what has been happening on a computer. it even catches title bar data of when users are in incognito or private mode. this is extremely helpful, especially when you have setup screen grabbing and alerting when you have areas of concern that a member of staff is doing something inappropriatre.

Pros

Its not a cheaper solution but it is a better solution if you want more detail into what your employees are doing. It really made the owner cringe at the level of detail we can see what the employees do, he almost thought it was too invasive

Cons

We had some employees who were consistently missing deadlines that they shouldn't have been missing. enabled us to efficiently identify and address some of the employees' problematic behaviors. It worked so well that I actually installed it on my own computer to help me identify areas for improvement.

I tried it for a few days, then gave up as it is not meant for what I wanted to use it for.

Pros

I liked that it really did track all of my computer usage seamlessly.

Cons

I found the way to categorize different applications a too cumbersome on one hand and lacking in sufficient detail on other. I wanted to use this software to accurately track how much time I spend on each customer so I would have a proven basis for billing. It is not what it is originally meant for, but the billing activity tracking apps available require too much constant involvement and I hoped to get past that by tracking all my activity automatically and categorizing it to actual projects for billing. However, trying to categorize just few days of my computer usage, it was not just feasible idea. For example, I have gmail address for my personal as well as two different customer accounts, but there was no way to categorize them differently (hint - Title in web browser is different, but this cannot be used as basis for automatic categories).

is an excellent tool for our organization that works perfectly, easily, effectively, all at a very low price point. It helps us enforce our Acceptable Use policy and take action when necessary.

Pros

The best part for us is that it takes the legwork out of an investigation. Simply install the tool and the data is gathered in many different formats. Before we started using it, an investigation would consume hours of IT's time while we dug through firewalls and internet history files (if available) to piece together a picture of PC activity. Being able to provide legal a set of screenshots is perfect and removes all of the guess work.

Cons

We haven't run into anything we disliked about this software
