Pros SignUpGenius is great to use because once you have your sign-up set up, it is fairly easy for people to navigate. If you're planning something with people who are not as fluent with technology, it can make things easy. Cons While it can be easy to navigate once everything is set up, it can be a little tricky to navigate for initial setup. Once you have done it a few times it becomes easier. Cons For some reason when our manager emails SignUp Genius to our volunteers, I do not receive the email and am therefore unable to sign up for shifts. The person responsible for setting up the event in SignUp Genius has verified my email address but doesn't know where to go for technical support. We always have enough volunteers who want to participate. Nothing is ever left to chance. The organizers and staff and participants always send in KUDOS to the home office about how wonderful the events are and congrats to the staff for running them. Pros There are so many features ofSignUpGenius that we like the most. Scheduling, communication, calendar management but I would say the one we LOVE is the mobile capabilities. Our staff is not always in the office at their desk and having the ability to create, update and message everyone at one time is a game changer for us. Everyone works from their phone, staff and volunteers alike. We could not put on the community events without SignUpGenius. Cons I don't believe there are any cons to SignUpGenius. Being able to schedule events for my team to sign up for in advance, while also being able to manage those sign up forms is very valuable to me. I work with a lot of students and their schedules are very fluid. Being able to adjust scheduling but also get this to them via phone helps get events put together in quick time, saving energy and time so I can produce more for my organization Cons I wish you could customize more in depth. Just a minor detail though. I have been using SignUpGenius for a long time now, not only with the organization I am with now, and it has always been effective and top of the line! Highly recommend! April 29, 2022 5.0 I think that using this software really is not solving any problems, it is preventing them. When it is necessary to reach a large number of people (as in ALL employees), this definitely makes the job so much easier. As I stated before, I have had the opportunity to use this software outside of the work arena and I feel that it is so versatile that you should have no hesitation in deciding whether or not to use this software. Pros This software is very user friendly. It is easy to understand and if the ability to integrate it with your existing programs is a necessity, then you will find that Signup Genius is the software for you. I am sure that you could find other comparable software if you looked hard enough, but why waste time when all that you need is in this one software. Cons I actually have not had any issues with this software. It gets the job done for the purpose that it is being used. I would gladly switch to another product if there was one that was better designed and easier to use. Pros SignUpGenius handles many different types of event planning, and it is a helpful tool that most people are used to using. When you have an account, signing up becomes easy, and latest features notify and link to your calendars. This makes committing to new events easier and streamlined. The most important features are also free. Cons Out of all the calendar sites, SignUpGenius has the most outdated and clunky designs. There are so many buttons to press and very little is automated. With a design overhaul that features ease-of-use, this product could make great advances. Even the wallpaper options are out of date and silly. I believe it helps organizers feel less stressed when they have an easy method like this to ask for help or gently nudge members of groups in which volunteer time is required. Pros As a user of signup genius, I appreciate the transparency of the app, how it lists exactly what type of help is requested and in what amounts. I can choose to commit to aspects that I can manage, knowing I'm able to complete the commitment, instead of agreeing to a vague volunteer time or effort. I have personal limits on my physical abilities and time, so it's very helpful to be able to choose something that I can do and feel like I'm contributing. Cons Signup genius leaves the details of signups up to the administrator, which can't be helped, but sometimes signups don't have as many details or as much transparency. SignUpGenius has been invaluable to make sure we have the proper level of coverage for each production throughout the year. Pros The most important feature is the reminder functions. The team will usually check their personal calendar and sign up for multiple events looking forward a couple of months. This has been key to making sure we have the proper coverage. If a team member should not be available, the reminder comes in plenty of time to get a replacement if necessary. Cons When trying to schedule months in advance, if would be nice to be able to just advance to the next month, instead of having to scroll through all the current months jobs to get to the next one. Teacher Primary/Secondary Education Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Excellent for Organization and Recognizable by Many " June 11, 2020 5.0 Overall, I am grateful for the ability to use SignUpGenius to organize contributions, coordinate schedules, remind participants of their agreements and responsibilities, and take most of the pain out of herding cats, or fulfilling the many roles outside of a classroom that a teacher has. Pros I first used SignUpGenius as a PTA president when my children were young. We discovered the site and implemented it for volunteer sign up at various events. At first, many were reluctant to try something new, but as they used it, they realized how convenient it truly is. Over the next few years, organizations rolled it out more and more, and now I regularly receive invitations to participate in projects as a donor or volunteer with SignUpGenius. As a teacher, I have even used it to schedule intervention sessions. I was able to indicate all of my open availability and then allow teachers to select slots for their students. It saved us hours or back-and-forth conversation and the reminders that are built into the software were helpful for ensuring that students would actually be sent to me for their meetings, which was a great improvement. Cons I feel like at some point the software became very ad-heavy, and that makes it unusable for participants. It's necessary to keep providing the service at free or low cost, but it can be nervewracking wondering if the next announcement aligns with district policies. Other than disabling ads for educators, I'm not sure how that could be worked out and still be reasonable for the company. Pros I use signup genius on a weekly basis to manage students to sign up for lessons and also for volunteer tutors to choose times they would like to volunteer in. Signup genius is incredibly easy to use as it is very user friendly. The features are self explanatory. Those who are not familiar with this software would be able to figure out how to use it relatively easily. After using signup genius I find that planning for lessons is a lot easier as it is an easy and efficient way to gather the information (volunteer times in my case). I have also used signup genius to sign up for volunteering times. It is very simple and easy to use! Therefore, on both a planning and user's perspective this software is very well made and easy to use. No previous knowledge required and setting up a volunteering time page does not take long. Cons I don't have anything negative to say about signup genius. I've always really liked using signup genius. One thing would maybe for the designers of the website to look into the aesthetics of the website. ONLY a suggestion. I personally used them to schedule appointments with my students and for event RSVP's. I loved using it to schedule appointments, because it allowed me to indicate only my available times; each user was able to book only one time; and no other users were able to pick already chosen options. Their interface isn't very user friendly and user appealing though; I wish they have more customization options available. Pros \- its a very easy to use application (easy to use for organizers and participants) - great to use to sign up people to events, appointments, meetings - mass email communication feature (thought I haven't been using it much, because isn't delivered from your actual email address) - its free! We currently support uploading email addresses from Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, Windows Live accounts, Outlook and CSV files. If your emails are not in an address book or are in an address book that is not supported, we recommend that you export the email addresses into Excel from your mail program. You can then copy the column of email addresses and paste them into the SignUpGenius input box. Please make sure you copy email addresses only with no names.
