Some of our events require 50+ volunteers, and this makes it so simple to manage all of them. Parents love that they can see who else signed up in each area, so they know who they will be working with. As a coordinator, I can print out the sign up list and use it to check off as volunteers arrive. I also use it to track their hours for the school year. Pros The feature that I like best is that I can duplicate sign-ups from previous years and adapt them with new dates and times. At our school, we run the same events every year, so it is perfect that I don't have to start from scratch each time. I also like that you can view past sign-ups from both my admin side and also from the volunteer side. This allows our school parents to easily track their volunteer hours for the school year. Cons It took a little bit of time to figure out how to manage the dates and time slots to create a new sign up event. However, once I got used to the nuances of it, I can make them very quickly. It is user friendly for the person setting up and the person filling out the sign-up. Pros I like that it is easy to set up and share with my class for any class event. I really like that it sends an automatic reminder to the participants a day or two before to remind people of what they signed up for. It is easy to send invites to people as well. Cons The ads on the side are distracting as well as the ones after you complete a sign-up. I wish that you could duplicate an old sign-up. (You may have this but I haven't seen it.) Pros I use sign up genius at work frequently to collaborate with other employees to complete group events such as potlucks, baby showers, etc. I am newer to using this website and then features that it offers but I was able to figure it out without any use of customer support. So far I have been able to use this site for free but I do think there are additional things that you can pay for if you were using it more frequently. It has been very helpful when setting up and coordinating events to manage volunteering and participation easier. Cons I do feel like there is a bit of a learning curve when starting use this website. The features and directions are not very clearly described and I frequently have to use a trial and error method to find out what exactly I want to use.
