### "Fast, easy, and convenient "

Pros

I regularly use this software to set up tutoring groups for medical students in their first year at my university. It easily allows me to regulate the group sizes and keeps all of my sign-ups in one convenient location. One feature that is a must for me is the ability to incorporate the sign-ups from SignUpGenius into my other calendars, such as Google calendar or iCal, which this platform does seamlessly.

Cons

One con that I have experienced is that you are unable to click the back button to go back to the previous page when using the platform on a computer. This lack of ability can make it a bit tricky to sign up for events that are time-sensitive or tend to fill up quickly. Other than that this is a fantastic scheduling platform.

Pros

Signup genius is a great tool for event planning.

Cons

It's not very intuitive. I try to add events to my calendar and I can't, so have to remind myself to go back into the system to see what I've signed up for. It's a clunky tool but it works for the need - gathering people together to sign up for specific event-related tasks.

I have had a much easier job of coordinating our events with SIgnUpGenius. Prior to finding this program, we used a spreadsheet or a google doc, and it was much more challenging that way. I had to stay on top of it constantly, where as now I just check what is still needed, as the date of our event gets closer, and I am able, right through SignUpGenius , to send an email out letting our parents know we still need more items for our event.

Pros

We have used this program to show appreciation for our teachers throughout the school year. SignUpGenius has reduced the amount of work it took our office to coordinate this. It simplified the process for our parents, and increased the number of parents that participated in our event. We had a much better turn out every time we used this method of signing up to bring something in, versus trying to use a spread sheet or any other method of signing up. It has made coordinating these events much more enjoyable for our staff.

Cons

The initial time using the program was a little tedious, until I got the hang of the method of entering the quantities desired.

Seems to be ok at first but problems then surface.

Cons

1\. Once you accept the invitation it shows on your calendar FOUR TIMES. 2. If the event turns out to end earlier or later you cannot edit on your calendar. 3. If the event has been changed by the organizer, the participants do not always get notification NOR can they remove it manually if they weren't able to attend 4. The support person twice sent instructions to fix but they did not work.

Hi Kathy, I apologize you have had issues adding the items you sign up for to your personal calendar. Items signed up for should not repeat on your calendar. Be sure you have not subscribed to the calendar sync feature multiple times. The site is designed for flexibility. The sign up creator has the option to change dates/times on their sign up and send notifications or not. You can log in to your SignUpGenius account and delete any sign up you can no longer participate in. You cannot remove yourself from a sign up from your personal calendar. I apologize if the support you received previously did not resolve your calendar issues. It may be helpful to go to your personal calendar and unsubscribe from the "SignUpGenius Items Signed Up For" calendar feed and subscribe again to start fresh. Please let us know if you need additional assistance.

Any time I have used signed up genius as a parent or employee I’m happy to see it being used because I don’t have to go to some meeting to discuss who’s bringing what, or who’s coming in at what time, or that I have to respond to 100 different emails. I choose what’s best for me and wham bam I’m done.

Pros

I’ve used sign up genius many times for things such as elementary school class party supply list, parent teacher conference sign ups, volunteer work hours sign up, and many more. It’s so easy to use you just go in and choose for example the time slot the best suited your availability, or the item you chose to bring . Instead of getting multiple people to respond to emails and then having to use separate programs to file all of the content it’s just right there on one page easy to see

Cons

Honestly I don’t think there is anything I did not like. While I enjoy seeing that Suzy is bringing cherries for the ice cream Sunday party and Johnny is bringing the sprinkles I’m not sure everyone would appreciate their names being seen

Pros

It’s very easy to set up - intuitive and has options that suit various needs. I also appreciate how easy it is to track progress and communicate with those joining

Cons

The page can feel cluttered. A simpler front facing page that is cleaner and more professional looking would be great.

### "A Must-Have for Managing Volunteers"

Easy to setup, easy to create spots for volunteering opportunities, managing volunteers, and setting limited volunteer numbers is a necessity for us.

Cons

A few times, depending on who sets it up, I cannot access the event to see the list. It might be a tech issue on my end, but has yet to be resolved by my team.

### "Good with a few downsides"

Overall, I love what Sign-Up Genius can do for us and the free price point is great! It's pretty simple to set up, follow up and implement. If the downed service due to server overload, or whatever the issue, was fixed this would be perfect!

Pros

Free account is useful with very few limitations. Good automatic and manual communication attributes for users to contact people who sign up. Pretty intuitive design and specialization. Paid account just ups the abilities.

Cons

Frequently the web servers are down, which can create some confusion with people who are trying to interact with your sign-up. It's very intermittent, but in the limited time we use the service, once a quarter, it happens a few times, each time. This is just annoying, not a deal breaker. Would like to see the structure be a little more reliable.

Signing up to any task or event is a pleasant experience with this software. I recommend it.

Pros

When I was in university I had classes and clubs that required certain meetings, exam objections or psychology experiments. We used SignUpGenius for every one of them for the sole reason of ease of use and practicality. The user interface is so easy that it is impossible to not understand. We chose the available slot and it also sent an email for a reminder. I still use it and it is still time saving and practical.

Cons

Since this is an easy to use software, there could be more featured added to make other everyday tasks easy as well!

We use SignUpGenius to organize and coordinate volunteers. Volunteers can click on the link and are taken to a form where they can sign-up for a time slot or to bring something to an event. They'll also be able to see what other volunteers have sign-up for, which is very helpful!

Pros

SignUpGenius is a great tool for coordinating volunteers. As a free software, it's great and incredibly useful. It comes with many templates and features. It takes some time to figure out how to make your sign-up look like you want it to, but then you are good to go. One of the great features of SignUpGenius is that is will email your volunteers in advance to remind them of their commitment. This is great because it takes following-up with and reminding volunteers off your plate and does that for you!

Cons

It does take a little time to figure it out at first. You can't sign-on for your first time and expect to have a sign-up ready to go in minutes. Also, some people speak of this as a lifesaver or game-changer when it comes to getting volunteers. That hasn't been my experience. It makes organizing volunteers and coordinating them easier, but it isn't going to bring them in as easily as some people might claim.

### "A great tool for a church to communicate and operate with its members"

This is a must have tool for any church or business that has to rely on a force of volunteers or people attending their events. It has helped me rest assure giving me some idea of how many people will attend and how many will be helping. It sure beats replying to a generic email.

Pros

SignUpGenius is incredible useful when it come to the life of our church. We are able to use it for all of out events, retreats, volunteers, and more. It gives us great access to info that lets us know how many people will becoming, how many volunteers we will have or still need, and we can communicate with all of them. Pros: -Easy and fast to create a sign up with many parameters - Ability to tie into accepting payments or giving - The process is easy for our members - Great ability to communicate with the group and keep them updated - Ability to see where we are lacking or need more signups or volunteers

Cons

The only con I have had is it is hard to get our older members to integrate into using it. Not really a fault of the company but it a difficulty. Not sure there is a way for the company to somehow be more senior friendly.

### "Group organizing made easy"

Super easy way to organize groups of people large or small, local or remote for items or volunteers needed. Emailing volunteers what the signed up for is a great feature so they can remind themselves. It's quick and simple for the end user.

Pros

It is an easy way to organize a volunteer list for people, items, or supplies. We have used this for classrooms, sports teams, picnics, class donations, etc. You can see what is needed, how many slots have been filled and it is all in one place. It emails you a reminder of what you signed up for which is great as an end user. For example, for home football games, volunteers are needed for the entrance gates, sidelines, control the chain markers and sell merchandise. All home games can be loaded with each job needed, how many people at each and time slots. Then parents can log in and choose what they can do. We used this for Senior night at my son's baseball game just recently as well. Rather than emails back and forth between parents and the liaison, the sign up genius was sent out with what was needed-types of food, tables, coolers, ice, drinks, etc

Cons

As an end user, without the link to find the event I am looking for, I do not know how to search for it. I usually have to find the original email I was sent or a reminder email to log into the event I want. Not sure if there is a better way.

### "Of course I like this"

Great! Intuitive, simple, makes sense, and sends automatic reminders.

Pros

It's great at what it is for - doesn't everyone know this already? If you haven't used SignUpGenius before then I don't know where you have been. This seems like such a common software to me. I like best the automatic email reminders it sends when you are signed up for something.

Cons

If I had signed up for a shift, but now cannot do it and I need to look for a replacement, it would be cool if I could email other people through the software to reach out and find someone to fill my spot. I guess what I like least is that it does not have this capability.

To initiate a swap, a user must have an account with SignUpGenius. This simply means that if a user would like to swap with another user, they register at SignUpGenius with the same email they used to sign up for their item¿ and then they can initiate the swap. Any other users with emails in the system (regardless of whether or not they have created an account) will be available to consider swapping with the person who makes the request. Once another user accepts a swap request, the change is made automatically and if anyone else tries to respond to the request, they will see that a swap has already been updated. ### "So easy to use! "

Overall things have been great. It's straightforward and easy to use and send the information back to me or I can login and look at hte responses. I like that people can change after they selected something so they can do that themselves and not have to contact me.

Pros

Allowing people to sign up to bring an item or take care of a specific task, sending reminders in the program about the items they have signed up for and allowing people to go back and see what they've signed up for. All of these things coupled with the fact that it's so easy to use, make this amazing!

Cons

It can be a little confusing at first for recipients to figure out how to look at what they have signed up for, but once they figure it out it's not an issue the next time. It's also a bit "busy" on screen, could use a cleaner design.

### "Round up the troops! It's easy now!"

Pros

This offers such an easy way to either round up volunteers for commitments or share pre-scheduled signups. We use this for multiple ways for PTA volunteer signups and for our clients to signup for advertising space in our regular newsletter. It works really well for both. I love that you can see what has been take and what is still available at the same time and they send reminders!

Cons

It has a juvenile look to it, why can't it look professional! Also, if you don't sign up for an account when you sign up for something its difficult to make changes.

SignUpGenius Fixed a lot of issues that i was having, it allowed me to set up Events as well as how i managed users or the number or participants in events, but more importantly it was really easy to integrate, setting it up was a piece of cake and everything was laid out clearly.

Pros

Very easy to implement and work with. Nice looking customisable designes. Doesn't require you to be a tech genius

Cons

There's no way of canceling events once sent.

If you create a sign up and later need to cancel the event, your group can be notified of the change in plans. From the Messages area, you can send an update to the group. You can then delete the sign up from your account or simply change the date on the sign up to a past date.

I have used SignUpGenius to organize people and schedule events. It is super easy to create and not complicated for people to click on and get signed up. It is very easy to read and understand.

Pros

SignUpGenius is so easy to use to set up appointments, schedule groups of people and organize people and items. With SignUpGenius, I can send a link for others to sign up for an appointment or for a reservation time.

Cons

While it is easy to schedule events and groups, there is not a way to send reminder texts or a reminder through an app.

I use it not just in business but for my kids' school events.

Pros

I've found this useful for everything from sign ups for potlucks and volunteer times to sign ups for meeting agendas. This is an easy checkbox format and ties to your email.

Cons

There has been times when Signup Genius goes to my spam or directly to my trash. It varies because sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't.
