I genuinely have really only good things to say about the entire platform. Its robust, powerful, and allows anyone from novice to expert, to do what they need to get done. Pros Everything. Datadog is one of the most customizable, flexible, and malleable software suites that I have ever had the pleasure of using, and currently use. Amazing value for the money - you can get started on a ton of stuff for free, or extremely low cost - under $50.00. Customer support is great and they respond quickly - platform is super easy to use and the GUI is intuitive. Log searching andd data analysis are the strongpoints of Datadog - you can take an insane amount of data, and distill it quickly. You can do dev work as well in Datadog, and monitor pipelines. Datadog can also act as a SIEM and a log management solution for an EXTREMELY low barrier/cost to entry. Cons It is COMPLEX. I mean very, very complex. There are things that are extremely easy to use in Datadog, but overall, the entire suite is very sophisticated and complex. Some of the internal documentation isn't updated very often, so that you occasionally have setup instruction mismatches between their page and vendors.
