We have no reason whatsoever to ever consider another software for evaluations. QuestionPro is easy to work with, affordable, and surveys can be complex or basic depending on our needs.

Pros

As a non-profit, we are able to receive a discounted product. This helps our bottom line significantly and lets us focus on the services we provide instead of having to pay for an evaluation software. Customer support is always very responsive no matter the time and I like being able to get in touch with a real person when I need to. With our software we're able to design the type of surveys we need and the branching options are very helpful.

Cons

Manual data entry/upload would be nice to have in the version of QuestionPro available to us but we're able to make it work with our license.

Pros

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Pacific Islander communities, part of our mission involves healthcare-related projects with a strong emphasis on data collection. For years, we relied on Google Forms and other simple tools, which were sufficient for basic surveys but quickly became limiting as our projects became more complex. Our work often requires engaging multiple communities and tracking overlapping, correlated factors. That’s where QuestionPro has been a saving grace. The initial setup was straightforward, and the platform provides us with the flexibility to design sophisticated surveys that capture the nuances of our work, while still being simple enough for non-specialists to adjust and enhance without worrying about compromising the overall survey design. One of the most significant advantages for us is the ease with which we can obtain data in a usable Excel format. This has been a game-changer, allowing us to sanitize results, protect participant anonymity, and still share data with partners in a secure and controlled manner. Having complete control over our data sets ensures that we can honor both community trust and research integrity. The built-in analytics are another highlight. ### "QuestionPro is holding our survey data hostage!"

Pros

It was fairly easy to set up a survey.

Cons

We signed up for a free account and they mentioned on the pricing page that there was a limit of 1,000 submissions per survey on the free version. What they failed to clearly state, though is that once you go over 1,000 submissions on a survey, you GET COMPLETELY LOCKED OUT OF THE SURVEY!!! We got a TON of SPAM submissions even with the provided Captcha field added, which quickly pushed us over the 1,000 submission limit. But, instead of shutting the survey down, they continue to accept submissions and instead REVOKE ACCESS TO THE SURVEY FOR TEH CREATOR. Now I can no longer view, edit or even close the survey without PAYING FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION because they don't offer a monthly plan. So, essentially, if you are on a free account and go over 1,000 submissions, QUESTIONPRO WILL HOLD YOUR SURVEY DATA HOSTAGE UNTIL YOU PAY FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION because they don't offer monthly subscriptions. The reasoning I was given was that "they didn't want a bad experience for the survey takers" which is why they leave the survey open. What about the end-user experience for the companies setting up the surveys though? Personally, I'd rather my survey get shut down at 1,000 submissions and still be able to access the data then to have them keep collecting responses that I can't even access. Their customer service was also very slow to reply and the account manager was 15 mins late to our first meeting with no heads up, so I ended up waiting and having to reschedule.

We use QuestionPro for annual surveys of our student grantees. It's easy to set up surveys once you get to know the platform. It's not a simple as some other platforms, but it's more robust. We were thrilled with the results last year and have plans to use it again this year.

Cons

I would say the learning curve was the most challenging part. You can find something simpler, but you won't get the robust and varied options. It's a true quantitative and qualitative tool for fielding surveys.

The product has been very easy to use. We need it once a year (usually), and it's so easy to take last year's survey, tweak it, and send it out to a new batch of participants.

Pros

Setting up a normal survey is very straightforward. As you dig deeper, you can unlock more complex input logic, branching, and a bunch of other options to add a richer experience for participants. Security measures and validation features are also robust, offering a host of options to ensure you get input from the people you want.

Cons

The process to renew non-profit licenses is a bit cumbersome. I would much prefer a discounted non-profit option to the free license that requires additional steps every year for renewal.

Very good, we utilize it for a lot of things, including applications for our programs. We also like the ability to get a QR easily on every survey.

Pros

I like the reports it automatically produced for us. Good value. IT is as easy as Survey Monkey but a much better nonprofit rate. It also has more relevant training opportunities.

Cons

The application we put online was difficult for the applicants. Many filled it out multiple times. Also, they require you write a review on this site to get the discount. This kind of requirement felt coerced.

Great. We use it a nonprofit organization and have been satisfied. We have been able to design advanced surveys and the analytics are a time saver.

Pros

The translation feature is very easy to use. We translate our surveys in multiple languages. Question pro provide many options and features that other survey programs do not. It is pretty easy to design a survey that is more complex, and you not have to be a data scientist to do it. The analytics and charts provided are superior. It’s great that we don’t have to download to excel to analyze.

Cons

Would be great if it had more templates or preloaded questions. The system can be daunting at first because it has a lot of features and options.

We enjoy how easy surveys are to create and share with our community.

Pros

As a nonprofit dedicated to bird conservation and supporting emerging conservationists, we appreciate the tools QuestionPro offers. The platform is user-friendly, which makes it easy for us to create surveys and we have been told it is also easy for our participants to complete them. We also value the various tools available for sharing our surveys. We have used our account to conduct surveys, gather feedback which supports our research.

Cons

Needing to renew the license every year and losing access to our surveys when it expires is challenging. Sending an email notification an appropriate time before the expiration date would be helpful, allowing us to renew it without losing access to our data.

Easy to programme surveys and the design/UX is a vast improvement on our previous software. The style and display options for questions are excellent.

Sometimes it is difficult to apply more complex routing - you have to create a lot of rules and logic.

Overall, QuestionPro has been dependable for both quick pulse checks and complex, logic-heavy instruments. We conducted surveys quickly, tracked responses in real-time, and provided clean datasets to our evaluation team. Support has been responsive to advanced logic and integrations. With fuller nonprofit features, it would cover nearly all of our needs end-to-end.

Pros

The platform is fast and intuitive. Branching/logic and piping are easy to configure, templates cover most use cases, and collaboration/version history are straightforward. Real-time dashboards make it simple to monitor completes and drop-offs, and exports (CSV/Excel/API) are clean for analysis. Mobile/offline collection is reliable for field work.

Cons

The nonprofit plan lacks several features we need; we’d prefer access to the complete feature set. Advanced branding/styling are limited without custom CSS, and complex multilingual surveys require extra setup to maintain consistent labels. Some deeper analytics still require exporting to BI, R, or Python.

QuestionPro provides a robust set of tools for an excellent price, especially for nonprofits. Surveys are easy to build, easy to track, and my colleagues love how they can access real-time results through analytics dashboards. Data can be exported to Excel or straight to PowerPoints. It allows me to meet multiple stakeholder needs in one product.

Pros

QuestionPro's survey builder is extremely easy to use - there are tons of question types and logic features. The analytics options are also robust. I've really appreciated designing different dashboards for different stakeholders, each with custom share links.

Cons

I find the distribution features to be a bit clunky. It will track survey completion and send reminders, but the way you manage distribution lists through that process can be a bit tricky.

We have been using QuestionPro for over ten years. It allows us to create easy-to-complete online surveys, that can be undertaken easily on many devices. The software has been very well designed. We use it to collect the data of our members from all over the world, for this reason we need to compare the data obtained between them and QuestionPro allows us to download reports in Excel files, text files and Power Point files. You can send invitations directly, monitor responses and manage the unsubscribes.

Pros

QuestionPro is a very versatile and above all intuitive product. There is a great variety of fields to choose from that meet our needs. We understood the logic of use without the need for explanations.

Cons

We use the free nonprofit license and it sometimes limits certain functionality. It would be interesting to try the upper levels.

My overall experience has been great! I've been using the program for about five years now, and have had minimal issues with it.

Pros

I am able to make a variety of surveys and organize them into different folders, keeping my dashboard organized.

Cons

The surveys look a little older/outdated compared to other survey programs. Also, when creating multiple-choice questions, sometimes the text and fonts get a little wonky, and you can go back/ctl-z.

Honestly, I don't have any negatives. I may find some in the future but not at this point.
