Overall, our experience with QuestionPro has been very positive. We use QuestionPro in applied social science research, evaluations and stakeholder surveys involving HEIs. The software supports efficient survey administration and professional data collection workflows. We also appreciate the continuous development of the platform and the responsive support team.

Pros

QuestionPro is very useful for professional online surveys in research, evaluation and higher education projects. We especially appreciate the advanced survey logic, filtering options and the flexibility in designing complex questionnaires for different stakeholder groups. The platform is intuitive to use and works well for both smaller studies and larger surveys.

Cons

New users first need to explore the available functions and configuration options, as not all features are immediately intuitive. In the Non-Profit License, some more advanced question types and features are unfortunately not available.

Good very positive, they have a great product that often is less expensive than others but provides a great result.

Pros

Easy to use, great customer service, survey design and templates work well. As a non-profit they support us by providing a great resource.

Cons

The log in process it does the code entry quite often, which slows down the log in process. But I can get over it.

Mit dem System können wir unkompliziert wertvolles Feedback zu unseren Konferenzen einholen und dieses gezielt zur Weiterentwicklung unserer Veranstaltungen nutzen. Besonders schätzen wir, dass sich Umfragen sehr einfach anlegen lassen und gleichzeitig ein ansprechendes, übersichtliches Design bieten, das für die Teilnehmenden gut lesbar ist. Darüber hinaus stellt das System zahlreiche hilfreiche Möglichkeiten bereit, die Ergebnisse auszuwerten und strukturiert aufzubereiten.

Cons

Wir sehen keine wirklich nennenswerten Nachteile; gelegentlich ist unklar, warum plötzlich ein Login-Code nötig ist.

### "Don't do it"

I was extremely disheartened by their inability to work with us and help us come up with a solution that worked for our nonprofit. Because of this, I would never recommend them for another organization to use.

Pros

QuestionPro is good for skip logic and building surveys. The initial price point is good for nonprofits through techsoup but advanced features are not included.

Cons

QuestionPro's customer service is horrible. As a small nonprofit, we purchased the license through techsoup for $150. One of the surveys we are working on requires an electronic consent, however, we were notified after purchasing the license that this feature is only available for a research license and is $1500. We asked if we could sign up for the monthly license like they have for their basic level and were told that they only offer an annual rate. We asked if there were any workarounds and were told there was not.

Very good, we utilize it for a lot of things, including applications for our programs. We also like the ability to get a QR easily on every survey.

Pros

I like the reports it automatically produced for us. Good value. IT is as easy as Survey Monkey but a much better nonprofit rate. It also has more relevant training opportunities.

Cons

The application we put online was difficult for the applicants. Many filled it out multiple times. Also, they require you write a review on this site to get the discount. This kind of requirement felt coerced.

### "Great for translation and insights "

Great. We use it a nonprofit organization and have been satisfied. We have been able to design advanced surveys and the analytics are a time saver.

Pros

The translation feature is very easy to use. We translate our surveys in multiple languages. Question pro provide many options and features that other survey programs do not. It is pretty easy to design a survey that is more complex, and you not have to be a data scientist to do it. The analytics and charts provided are superior. It’s great that we don’t have to download to excel to analyze.

Cons

Would be great if it had more templates or preloaded questions. The system can be daunting at first because it has a lot of features and options.

Overall, this is a great service to use at my non-profit. I would highly recommend for anyone to use this service.

Pros

QuestionPro is intuitive and easy to use. There are tons of good options for different types of survey questions, and I appreciate the automatic generation of charts and graphs that are sometimes ready to use for presentations as-is. It is a great tool for collecting social science data and collecting feedback on workshops that my organization runs.

Cons

In the emails sent out to potential survey respondents through the email platform built into QuestionPro, the emails that respondents receive look sort of promotional (and sometimes go into the promotional category of inboxes) based on the design. For social science projects this can reduce validity and response rates.

Very good experience. I have been working with QuestionPro for about 5 years and they continue to improve the survey developer experience.

Pros

Ease of use in setting up survey questions. Tech support is excellent when I have questions about the program.

Cons

Export to PDF could be improved. Open ended questions follow at the end of choice questions. We have a very extensive survey we do in QuestionPro and I have to manipulate the exported file to embed the open ended question responses into the full document.

I was pleased with the ease of use. Their generousity in providing a valuable service to nonprofit groups like ours is greatly appreciated. The job of Call to Entry team was greatly streamlined by the use of Questionpro's survey product.

Pros

The process to produce our on-line survey was simple to use and produced a questionnaire that was easy for our members to answer. The uplink for including pictures in the survey was an added benefit. The customer support team was friendly and helpful.

Cons

The questionnaire produced a form which could be downloaded to Excel. I would have liked to be able to edit the answers to the survey before downloading them to Excel. This would have avoided duplicating errors that the members made in their answers.

As a small nonprofit, we struggle with evaluations. We need a system that is easy and quick to use, but nearly all of those are out of price range. We're so grateful to QuestionPro for providing a free option for nonprofits!

Pros

We've used Google survey and other free online surveys in the past, but QuestionPro is far better. The conditional questions are easy to set up, and the look of the interface is clean and clear.

Cons

We've been using QuestionPro for two years now and I've never had to contact customer support, and really haven't found any parts of it that I don't like.

It has been easy to use and we have gotten any help that we need. There is good customer service and we are very happy with it. We have used it for more than 5 years.

Pros

I love how easy it is to make a design surveys. They have very easy to design for youth all the way through adults. They give us great data about our programs. The value is incredible. It is the best survey program for the price point.

Cons

I don't see any downsides of this program. There was a bit of a learning curve, but once I learned how to use it it provided what I needed.

Pros

Pros

Question pro is easy to use, easy to customize, and has been my go-to for years. Customer support is great.

Cons

I really have no complaints. I have been able to do whatever I need to do in the platform. For non-profits, annual renewing could be smoother.

We've been using QuestionPro for a few years to run annual surveys for a few hundred respondents. We've had a really good experience with the software and much prefer it over Google Forms, our previous software solution. QuestionPro has more security and offers more features that we find helpful in data management and analysis.

Pros

Multiple question formats can be used in one survey. We were able to translate into 6 languages and add an audio play option for respondents to hear each question and answer read aloud - a big plus for our multi-lingual community.

Cons

The data exports do not always have the formatting that I wish they had. I still need to create a codebook to translate answer choices that export as 1,2,3,4 into never, sometimes, often, always, etc. I also do my own data cleaning and I wish there were a better way to do that without exporting and doing it in Excel.

QuestionPro was a lifesaver when I left my academic institution and needed a software program to collect data for my nonprofit. When starting up a nonprofit it is hard to find the funds for something like software so QuestionPro not only came through as an option but also met our needs in terms of a survey solution.

Pros

QuestionPro's ease of use is its most beneficial feature. I have used many survey software programs throughout my research career and QuestionPro is by far the most user friendly and has a professional looking interface to the end user.

Cons

I really like the graphs that are presented with the analytics. I wish there was an easy way to export those graphs to put directly into presentations.

### "Gut, professionell und leicht zu erlernen"

Pros

QuestionPro bietet unglaublich viele Möglichkeiten Befragungen professionell, und facettenreich durchzuführen. Diese sind an vielen Stellen hinreichend beschrieben. Was mir aber gut gefällt ist, die Möglichkeit schnell eine einfache Ab-/Umfragen durch das Hochladen eines schlichten Word-Dokuments durchzuführen (ohne große Einarbeitung) und trotzdem ein professionelles Korsett im Rücken zu haben, wie z.B. das Verhindern von doppelten Stimmabgaben, etc. Aber auch der Einsatz weiterführender Features wie z.B. „custom variables“ gelingt, dank gut organisierter Benutzeroberfläche, weitestgehend ohne vertieftes Studium des Handbuches. Die schnellen Erfolgserlebnisse motivieren dann zur weiteren Vertiefung.

Cons

Show Stopper kann ich beim besten Willen nicht feststellen. Vielleicht eine Kleinigkeit, die mir aufgefallen ist: Hin und wieder ist QuestionPro der Meinung, dass man zwei Fenster geöffnet habe (was nicht der Fall ist) und es nun durcheinanderkäme. Da hilft nur abmelden und wieder anmelden.

Pros

I appreciate the opportunity as a nonprofit to have access to a robust survey system that will actually give us workable data.

Cons

The nonprofit renewal process requires us to provide email addresses from other entities, and I do not agree with sharing these.
