I don't have to try to sync data between multiple apps. Cons The appearance is very utilitarian, it could be made to be more appealing. I hate that I am forced to doing a purchase order, then receive and order and then a vendor bill and then a vendor payment. You should be able to simplify all of that from just 1 vendor payment screen. Got great features and easy to use. It can integrate my manufactoring module with the accounting one very easy which is really great. Cons Not super simple to start at first but once you get the hang of it, you can flow through Zaps, the help section is also great and it gives you suggestions to fix any issues you have and work arounds, a really good feature. Cons El tiempo disponible para probar otras aplicaciones (15 días) me resulta escaso para poder probarlo en profundidad, así como para poder exponerlo ante otros miembros de la empresa con el fin de valorar la compra del producto. Reason for choosing Odoo Cuenta con una interface mucho más intuitiva. Además es mucho más completa y no ha presentado errores en su funcionamiento. It is easy to use and fun to bolt on extra tools Cons I think it requires and existing contextual knowledge of what makes it powerful. The drag and drop is unfortunately less flexible than I experienced with Elementor (e.g. photos can only be posted as 100%, 50% or 25%.) But with a little creativity and adaptability, I made it work for what I need. Pros I like the fact that the one-app free plan is free and free for life. I have figured out though I have to be careful NOT to (unconsciously) trigger another app to change my free for life plan to a paid subscription. Cons What I didn't like is the lack of clarity of the free one-app plan. Some of the building blocks you can drag into a website come with an "install" pop up, but it should come up with a pop up that explains CLEARLY : "installing this feature will change your free app to a paid subscription. I only clicked to install the website app and "live-chat" and "e-commerce" popped up on my websites page. It seems there were features in those 2 apps that triggered the paid subscription plan. Yes... I didn't go through all the instruction video's, but I think Odoo could be more clear about which apps belong together to stay on the one-app free plan. On the apps page Website app is listed with 5 sub apps. I assumed all of them automatically belong together in the free one-app plan, but I seemed to be wrong. Odoo need to be more clear about this. My problem is now solved (with very good client service), but it could have been avoided if Odoo was clearer on how and when the paid subscription gets triggered,... what belongs together so it won't trigger. Also, the most thing I like is that it is open source and can be edited by someone. Pros Modularity and availability of applications covering a wide range of business functions. Cons \- Difficult to achieve anything that is slightly out of "Odoos way of doing things" - Workflows, as envisioned by the product develepors, are poorly documented. Videos cover how to use the product but not the underlying philosophy/workflow. - Support is hit and miss, sometimes good, sometimes useless. - for a small start up, success packages are very expensive. Some "simple" changes can't be done without hiring a developer. The ability to customize and tailor applications to my business’s specific needs has been a huge plus. The fact that everything is integrated into one system – sales, accounting, inventory, and marketing – really helps make workflows smoother and improves overall visibility into operations. The interface is fairly modern and easy to understand, which is great for someone who doesn’t have much technical knowledge. However, when it comes to more advanced setups, I have found myself needing to hire a consultant for initial implementation as some aspects of the system can be quite complex. Pros I really like its user-friendly and modern interface. This software has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. As it is an open source software, Odoo is very flexible to customize applications according to the needs of the company. Odoo integrates all areas of the business very well, facilitating the management of business processes from accounting and sales to inventory and marketing. Cons Initial setup and customization can require a lot of time, technical knowledge or expert help. Sometimes, when we want to upgrade Odoo to a new version, previous customizations may not be compatible, causing additional effort to adapt custom integrations or modules. Otherwise, all is well. Cons Can think more about the accountant module localization for Bulgaria. There are some issues with VAT declarations. Cant use automatic bank transfers, because is supported only SEPA transfers. Then i discovered Odoo. I worked first with the bookeeping app only. Now i would like to extend my business and i will use the wesite app, and many others. Pros The interaction between all apps in one and only app. it's amazing. Cons Sometimes, the logic is difficult to follow. For example, when i paid my subscription, i didn't have the possibility to remove some options by myself to fit the type of subscription i took. Then i had to link my subscription with my database. Pros The Odoo apps work together in a very efficient way. You can start small and grow at the speed you want. Excellent product management leads to updates that contain excellent new features. Highly flexible. Cons If you want to install and configure Odoo without help from a partner, you need to spend quite some time to understand the vast number of features. Absolute no client services defeats the point of having a user friendly website." February 4, 2025 1.0 The website is cool, but the people behind it is completely useless. It doesn't help you have a user friendly website if no-one gives a shit when you have a problem. I guess I am expected to do every single thing I have done, all over again, or get a better website because I have absolutely no interest in continuing with Odoo if they don't care about their clients and are useless themselves. Pros It was easy to use while I could actually use it. But that's irrelevant because I lost my entire database and can't recover it anyway. Cons After I worked long hours on creating the perfect website, my free trial ended and I had no way of getting back into my original database. I tried subscribing so that I can get back to my website, but it just took me to a brand new URL to start a completely new website from scratch. I opened a ticket to get assistance, emailed Odoo and then also replied to the email that tells me my free trial has ended and specifically tells me to reply to it to discuss my options. So after doing all of that, I got absolutely no response and still have no way to get back into my website after putting in a lot of effort to get it going. So the biggest Con regarding Odoo is the fact that their customer support is an absolute piece of shit. Review Source LR Luciano R. Since it is a very horizontal business application, not all modules are very mature. I suggest to start with few modules, set your business workflow around those few modules and slowly install other modules as required. Keep in mind that too many modules with customizations and integrations can be harder to test for version upgrades. Pros Although I use vanilla Online version, it is great to know that Odoo is very customizable. I also like that it can be integrated to other applications in my company via the Web API, so it is very extensible. Also, the data models used internally are perfect for my services company, specially the timesheet entries that convert to cost in the analytic accounting, an essential feature that allows us to know if a project is profitable or not. Cons Default reports could be better polished or customizable, or maybe I didn't study further how to customize.
