Then i discovered Odoo. I worked first with the bookeeping app only. Now i would like to extend my business and i will use the wesite app, and many others. Pros The interaction between all apps in one and only app. it's amazing. Cons Sometimes, the logic is difficult to follow. For example, when i paid my subscription, i didn't have the possibility to remove some options by myself to fit the type of subscription i took. Then i had to link my subscription with my database. February 4, 2025 1.0 The website is cool, but the people behind it is completely useless. It doesn't help you have a user friendly website if no-one gives a shit when you have a problem. I guess I am expected to do every single thing I have done, all over again, or get a better website because I have absolutely no interest in continuing with if they don't care about their clients and are useless themselves. Pros It was easy to use while I could actually use it. But that's irrelevant because I lost my entire database and can't recover it anyway. Cons After I worked long hours on creating the perfect website, my free trial ended and I had no way of getting back into my original database. I tried subscribing so that I can get back to my website, but it just took me to a brand new URL to start a completely new website from scratch. I opened a ticket to get assistance, emailed and then also replied to the email that tells me my free trial has ended and specifically tells me to reply to it to discuss my options. So after doing all of that, I got absolutely no response and still have no way to get back into my website after putting in a lot of effort to get it going. So the biggest Con regarding Odoo is the fact that their customer support is an absolute piece of shit. Review Source BD Bert D. Pros The apps work together in a very efficient way. You can start small and grow at the speed you want. Excellent product management leads to updates that contain excellent new features. Highly flexible. Cons If you want to install and configure without help from a partner, you need to spend quite some time to understand the vast number of features. There is so much to but that is my favorite asmy time is everything. I did have one issue due to social sites changing there coding and I reached out to support and they answered me FAST and got it all sorted out and resolved. Great company and FANTASTIC site. Pros I love Odoo, saves me time with scheduling posts and it is FREE. AMAZING!!! I am able to offer to my customers and help them get a great start. Didn't want to manage it for them. But I quickly understood thant couldn't manage the entire process without a long training. You should provite "simplified worklfow". Pros Service, easy to START a project, in a few minutes, with a few questions, you create a website that SEEMS to fit your needs. Response time of the web interface is really great, that convinced me to use it. The feeling is good at first sight .. but ... Cons Then when you start to dig into the details, it's really hard to setup it. Absolutely not user friendly. Some Workflox / UX designs are juste ... horrible. Setup is spread everywhere in different Apps. You quickly need to dig really deep to understand the product. Only "developer" oriented (I'm a developer) Online documentation is a mess. Seems to be great but is always partally translated (in FR), resulting in "Frenchglish" documentation. It is an easy to use application, though i only used it for inventory there is a lot more you can do with it. Cons There wasnt anything i didn't like. Since it is a very horizontal business application, not all modules are very mature. I suggest to start with few modules, set your business workflow around those few modules and slowly install other modules as required. Keep in mind that too many modules with customizations and integrations can be harder to test for version upgrades. Pros Although I use vanilla Online version, it is great to know that is very customizable. I also like that it can be integrated to other applications in my company via the Web API, so it is very extensible. Also, the data models used internally are perfect for my services company, specially the timesheet entries that convert to cost in the analytic accounting, an essential feature that allows us to know if a project is profitable or not. They refused. I spend hours trying to learn it and still can’t get my website up and running after several months! Cons They lied. They won’t help me at all.
