It is easy to use as a documentation tool and it is easy to look up patient info. Pros Lots of info is available on the opening page of each pt document which makes it easy to reference basic pt info as well as to follow timing of documents (progress notes, end-of-cert periods, for example). I also like that I can toggle from one note to another to locate info from previous notes. Cons There is poor organization of treatment techniques and not enough choices of measures for adult Neuro functional skills or those available are poorly worded. I find Optimis more useful for Ortho patients and not Neuro patients - and I treat more Neuro pts. As billers, we love this functionality. Cons I use a lot of 59 modifiers, and it would be nice to have Optimis give us the option to let us add our own modifiers automatically in each of our CPT codes. This option isn't available. I also do not like the fact that Optimis doesn't have an eligibility check built in.
